Any chance (or word) Booker is still growing?

There was some awfully one-sided officiating again tonight. I imagine if the Suns got equal treatment from the refs, they'd probably be .500. And also probably not be completely dejected.

Warren just did the job against the 4 best teams (3 away) - GS, Cleveland, Spurs and OKC in the past fortnight.

Average - 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 58% from 3PT, 66% FT, 58% FG.

Interesting we play 4 games in 5 days and Hornacek max's out playing time in the 2nd game with games against SAC and LAL to come.

Tank seems to be in!

I don't think we sold that low on IT. People around the league do in hindsight, but no one else stepped up to give him $8 million a year, so we did, and then flipped him for a first.

Would you rather have another chucking pg on the team than a late first this year? I certainly wouldn't. What do you think we could have gotten for him?

I love me some Natalie, and if we are talking strictly looks, I agree, but I'm talking about getting someone who kicks some serious ass, and she didn't do much of that.

Rey is an ass kicker. I'm not arguing over hotness but someone who can kick some serious ass.

Do you guys know how bad Westbrook, Harden, and Curry were all at 24? No you don't, exactly!

lol

This from the guy who a couple months ago was trolling Bucks fans about the Knight trade, bragging about Knight in every thread he could get his hands on. It's one extreme or the other for you, either extreme pessimism or puffing your chest out in obnoxious bragging.

What the hell are you talking about? You must have someone else mixed up, I was definitely never ever bragging about Knight anywhere. Are you a bucks fan, lol gtfo and take Knight back with you if you want.

Rey seems like the type of girl that would chuck a hissy fit and go into a destructive rage because I criticised her cooking.

Problem is he's been one of the worst finishers statistically for the most part of his career. His points per drive has been below league average t he last couple of seasons. Thats why he is easily rattled and settles for ill advised contested long 2s when the shotclock is expiring because he doesn't think he can finish through contact

Knight is actually a really good shooter. But the issue is that he takes bad shots and misses those.

I remember hearing Jeff Van Gundy or Mark Jackson once talk about players who are "good badshot makers" like MJ, Kobe, LeBron, Durant, Curry etc. They all took some awful contested shots during games but their actually very good at them so they still make it and defense can't do anything about it. I don't think Knight realizes that he isn't a "good badshot maker".

If he just took the open looks he got or fougt harder to get better looks then he'd be looking so much better.

I didn't like IT's fit here in the Suns triangle PG system. I didn't have much issue with him as a player, just didn't like his role here.

Zach Lowe made a point the other day on ESPN radio and in one of his articles that you could make the argument that IT is just as good as Knight or maybe even better and is making half or less than half what Knight makes. Defensively their probably a wash.

I loved Ish and I wanted the Suns to try and get him the multiple times he got traded for nothing. He was a big part of the Suns 48 win season.

letsgosuns wrote:Since there are really no pass first point guards in the league anymore outside of Paul, Rondo, and Rubio (he is not a good player though so far in his career), how many people would be down with trading Knight and Bledsoe sometime between now and the draft and going after Mike Conley. He is really underrated and I always liked him a lot. Just entered his prime.

Yea would love Conley. He doesn't put up fancy stats and I know some people really love that but if you watch him play, he's one of the best in the NBA at being a true floor general. I think it's Kenny Smith or Chuck but one of them really loves Conley too.

If Memphis decides to blow it up, I could see them dealing Conley before the deadline rather than letting him walk for nothing.

Like you said, it's gonna be scary to see what Warren and Booker can do with more of an actual PG.

Man those girls are way too young looking for me to comment.

As far as the Suns, thumbs up to Warren and Booker. Those are two positives going forward and they are young enough to ride out Bledsoe and Knight contract.

Happy New Year!

This is exactly the problem. He is a really good shooter, but takes horrible shots. Especially with the clock going down he cant create a decent shot. He is better coming off a pick than running the pick n roll. In reality he should be a 6th man.

Jeff needs to come up with a better offense that suits his players. Some sort of motion offense instead of the pick n roll. That would play to the advantage of booker, warren and knight.
