Maybe we are intentionally losing them to knock them to the 4th worst record so we can get their pick. No, wait, never mind.

Biblically bad half, and they're only down 21.
So bad that it wouldn't surprise me if the Suns come back and win
...that would not make me happy.

What I know is that he doesn't know how to motivate players....the players don't want to play for him.
How do you know players don't want to play for him? I hear this thrown around all the time on this board as if it's fact, but nobody ever says how exactly they can tell the players have tuned him out.
I don't know if you have played basketball, but when you hate or don't like your coach you play on slow motion all the time and it's enough to be on a high disadvantage . I have not played professional, of course, but I have played enough to see that if the players want the coach out he willl be out.
At the end of the day is like on another work...if you don't like your boss you are going to put the minimum effort (without risking your own position).
It is easy to fire one man than fire 15 men....and easier when his name is not Popovich.

Sure, if you like losing money.

This is what happens when the entire team no longer has contact with their coach. The one player that did has missed two easy alley oops tonight. Now Hornacek is all alone and no player to reach over and give him a hand. I do feel bad for Hornacek as Suns should of fired him 3 weeks ago instead of hurting the team even more.

When I wrote about it that he is mostly done and for sure not worth so much money many posters here jumped on me saying he is great with vet presence teach Len etc... and if u dig deeper many of you hated Gortat and were happy for trading him. Reality check Gortat is still useful player and his salary is almost the same as Tyson. But how much influence Chandler brings to suns team? Vet who wants to be throw out of the game like a game before? Great example for youngsters...
Jeff isn`t worst coach he is guilty but look at the roster. Booker, warren, EB and nothing more. Len won`t be even average C, he is young but I don`t see any develop in his game.
Wish u better days and better luck in draft.

Why did Hornacek play TJ for only 9 minutes in the first half. He should start and get at least 35 min a game

Re: Game 37: Phoenix Suns (12-24) @ Los Angeles Lakers (7-27)
I find this thread funny. Many have wanted to fry our guards all year when they have a much longer track record of at least being respectable than Hornacek does as a head coach. We see what we are when Bledsoe sits. I see what happens this game when Knight sits. It's not as if we suddenly move the ball with a purpose when we sit our so-called selfish problem children, or our offense somehow performs, or our defense somehow performs.
You can hate this team's talent a ton, but we are drastically more talented than we've played since the first 15 games of the year. So what's more likely? That Hornacek was the greatest coach in NBA history for 2 years and the first 15 of this season, or is it that he's just not that good and continuously fails to put the team in the best chance to win, and the team has finally given up on him?
Sitting Warren is comical, and not supported by the overall yearly numbers. Running the first 2 plays of the game through Leuer and Chandler going against Hibbert and Randle is equally hilarious.
Our team overall isn't performing and hasn't been for a long, long time. The talent sucks without Bledsoe. But I want one Hornacek defender to explain how, in any 1 year, his team improved over the course of the season as an offense or defense.
i505 said it best--he does not command the respect of his players. His offensive system, if you can call it that, relies on our offensive talent just beating other guys because it provides no real advantage schematically unless everyone on the floor is a spacer. It doesn't get players open shots or emphasize their strengths--in short, neither his offense nor his defense puts our players in the best opportunity to succeed.
Knight has been the best player on teams better than this. Putting this **** show on him is comical. Tell me who is performing well. It's not just him, it's the whole god damned team and it's been that way basically all year aside from Bledsoe, and despite what many want to say on here, we have the talent to have more than 1 guy perform well. This is an NBA roster. Not even Philly has just 1 guy performing well. We have guys who can score that our head coach doesn't know how to use, and we've shown no real hope of an improving defense over the course of 3 years, nor improving assist numbers.
Hornacek's job performance this season should be described using that PJ Tucker 3 that was about 8 yards short of hitting the rim. Any coach can have success when given a complete roster. Hornacek may have been dealt a bad hand, but given the roster Hornacek has been given, and taking it for all of its faults, how can anybody possibly say he's done anything other than a truly horrendous job? This isn't an improving team. It's one that reaches a new low every time it takes that court. That is literally the definition of failing as a coach.

This fledgling franchise needs an overhaul from the top to bottom. I have no sympathies or attachments. Its been long overdue

The only excuse for what Hornacek has done with this team since the first tenth of the season is if he was all aboard the tank, in which case he deserves coach of the year because he's executed it to perfection.

Yup that was just naive offseason optimism. You stirred up the beehive. I agree we are only trending south

Maybe our players were excited about this game but after seeing their beloved Cardinals get thrashed today they gave up.

At the end of the year, what do you think will be considered more embarrassing, losing to the Suns or losing to the 76ers?
