I think Fox, Jackson and Isaac all have a higher chance at being elite at something and having some ability to dominate but that doesn't mean any of them will. I also think that anyone comparing them to All-NBA guys is getting completely ahead of themselves. None of them are slam dunk for sure things like Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis or Lebron. Or even Melo.

What I like most about Jackson, Isaac and Fox is that they're all reasonably humble and very hard working. I haven't heard as much about Tatum regarding his work ethic other than a single Coach K quote, though maybe he has a very strong work ethic as well.

I completely 100% agree with the first part. Tatum is not exciting but he's high floor so at least you're getting something, even though he isn't likely a high ceiling guy. Those others have much higher ceilings but probably lower floors as well.

As for the second part, I don't think Jackson and Fox are particularly humble. I know Fox said he's the best player in the draft. That's not a bad thing, but I do like players that are humble. It doesn't mean you don't have the fire to win. Duncan, Dirk and Kawhi are humble for some examples. Durant was humble until he got to GS and now that he is playing on a 73 win team without him, he is cocky.

Literally. He said we are really high on EVERYONE! Of course he will be right on one of those. And then people will say "Oh Gambo said we would pick this guy". Whay about all the others he said we would pick but didn't?

Who cares. Nobody has a direct source that is a general manager and if they did they wouldn't be getting the direct truth anyway. Even Woj throws out very vague info that may or may not happen.

It stimulates chatter and postings on message boards.

Gambo is now saying the Celtics are leaning Jackson. Ainge is using him to throw smoke at McD. If he can grab another future first and stay in the top 4 he is officially the master.

I'm guessing McD would be happy enough with Tatum or Isaac not to give up a future first for Jackson.

If that's accurate, it's a bad time to let it be known considering they just worked out Tatum today. If I'm Tatum and heard that I would feel like I wasn't wanted.

It's interesting comparing Warren in college vs Tatum

ORtg as Freshmen Warren 127.9, Tatum 111.3

DRtg as Freshmen Tatum 97.8, Warren 105.4

As a soph, Warren was the main man and averaged 25 ppg, and was often double teamed, so his ORtg dropped to 116.6, but his DRtg got better at 103.6

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/tj-warren-1.html

Warren also did win ACC Player of the year too, over Jabari Parker and others.

I don't even think Gambo knows what the Suns are doing and he surely doesn't know what the Celtics are thinking. But of course he will keep saying they want one or the other in different tweets and can delete the tweets which were wrong. That's what they all do these days.

So Josh Jackson decided not to work out for the Celtics... and the Celtics have worked out Taytum twice and now they love Jackson? Sounds to me like trying to get leverage on someone .. but who??

Been awhile my friends.

Been listening to a lot of Gambo spewing out trash and it's getting quite annoying. He hasn't been right in a long time. He has been REALLY BAD with Cardinals info. He use to have a good insider, now he has no one and he basically just makes (common sense) guess. He has gotten so bad now he claims he knows what other teams are doing.

Bottomline: Gambo's info is complete trash. Don't bother wasting energy getting excited or pissed about it.

Never worked out or been linked to Fox, but somehow out of nowhere there is his name. Funny how a lot of us were hoping his name would be out there to help scare the Kings, and all of a sudden it now is.

I dont trust him with the Tatum/Fox info. Smokescreen for Jackson/Issac

Fox seems like an obvious smokescreen, don't think it will make the Kings nervous at this point...maybe if we were high on Fox since the beginning it might have worked.

I admit I'm starting to come around on buying into Isaac's potential high ceiling, but I still have him behind Jackson and Tatum.

FYI - Celtics have been trying to get Jackson to come in for a workout but have been unsuccessful. Celtics hopeful they can get Jackson in Boston Tuesday or Wednesday.

He has connections with Ainge. He isn't always right but he doesn't just make this stuff up. These organizations use media all the time. He talks to guys. They tell him what they want to get out. He reports it.

Ainge has said that it's not a big deal to draft someone who doesn't workout with you. His scouts and drafting guys have been following these kids for years. They probably know enough.

Remember, this is the same guy who tried to give up a handful of 1st rounders for Justise Winslow. He loves great defenders with suspect jumpshots. I wouldn't be surprised if Jackson has been his guy the whole time.

Anyone that loves Jackson. Probably trying to pry 5 and 10 from Sac. If they like Tatum and Isaac too, then they get 1 at 5 and have another pick. They are the only other team that worked out Isaac, and if he impressed the Suns, then he likely impressed the Celtics.

Or, maybe they want Tatum....and perhaps Ainge and McD are honest with each other about who they want, and if Ainge likes Tatum and finds out we like Isaac, he could flip the pick for 5 and 10 if the Kings decided to (they probably get something else like Rozier) and then they still get Tatum at 5 and would probably sell the 10 off to highest bidder unless they needed another player but they have a ton.

“We would draft somebody without a workout,” McDonough said. “For me personally, the vast majority of what I go by in terms of my evaluations is what I’ve seen in games, five-on-five games. I think I get out a decent amount for a GM in terms of in-person scouting.”

I'm not saying that the Celtics haven't tried.. but they've gotten from we love Taytum and he's the next PPierce to now basically saying, we love JJackson..

Having said that, we cannot believe anything that comes out from teams FO. They're sending false info .

I have a feeling that after Thursday draft, the Suns will end up with Taytum. He just makes too much sense next to Book.

Hopefully that convinces other teams to have no idea what we are doing. McD is good with the misinformation.
