So much truth in this post. How does Booker going down let us see what Chriss/Bender can do?? They already play 24 mpg each and aren't as good as a beefy, old Jared Dudley. Dudley knows what he is doing on the court and what he is and isn't capable of. Heck Josh Jackson is also better than them. When Chriss and Bender play, they look lost out there. Josh Jackson at least plays like he has a purpose.

Exactly what truth is there in that post? Over 20% of our shots and the guy handling the vast majority of our offense just disappeared for a few weeks, someone has to cover that. I never said anything about Bender or Chriss, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t expect our young players to have a bigger role while the most ball dominant player on the team by far is out when we’re a rebuilding team. This is their (as in Chriss, Bender, and Jackson) chance to show if they have the ability to do something on offense outside of being the beneficiary of Bookers attention. I get a major part of being a Suns fan is being as negative as possible, but acting like there’s no positive in seeing our young players take a larger role on offense than screening and standing in the corner while Book goes to work over 50% of half court possessions is borderline disingenuous.

Like how long do we want to run camp? It’s been a single year with guys that were the biggest projects in the draft. If you were expecting them to be ready now, you were fooling yourself. Bender hasn’t had consistent playing time in competitive basketball since he was like 14, Chriss didn’t even start playing competitively until the same time. They were at least 2 years away from being NBA players from day 1.

I come in piece

Seeing how #2 is an option, how would you guys feel collectively about a Monroe/Jackson/18' pick for Whiteside trade?

So Booker likely to be out a few weeks, Reed, Knight, and Williams also out. Suns should be able to apply for a hardship to expand the roster to 16 players. Wonder if this is happening in order to keep James on the roster??

Well we're not allowed to swear on this board so I'll have to tone it down. That's a straight no, homie. Don't come back with a sweetener - this convo just doesn't need to start. Good day, sir.

I like the Whiteside trade except you'd have to swap our pick for Miami or Milwaukee.

I'm excited to see who steps up and how the players look with him out. One thing the article you posted mentioned that the Suns are terrible with or without Booker, and their net only changes from -8.6 to -6.6. Obviously I want him on the court as soon as possible but I think it could be an opportunity for growth. It's easy for guys not to step up when they can just give it to Booker. If they can step up and feel comfortable being more involved they may begin to show more aggressiveness on offense (Chriss, Bender). JJ already shows aggressiveness but hopefully with additional minutes he can work through his weaknesses to some extent on that end. I really wish Reed was healthy as it would be a nice opportunity for him. It sucks when our rookies are injured just when they otherwise would get their first opportunity, like last year when they went with the young guys down the stretch but Bender was out.

I don't think Whiteside is the guy I would move those assets for. Not sure who is at this point.

How about Monroe, Warren, MIA 1st, for Whiteside?

Hell, im a Whiteside fan, and even thats too rich for my taste.

Monroe, Bender or Chriss, MIA or MIL 1st.

He's 28 and injured (again), paid a ton, and hasnt been the same player as he was for the past few seasons. 15/13/1.5 is still pretty good, but.......idk, just wouldnt touch anywhere near that original offer.

Monroe, Bender or Chriss, MIA or MIL 1st.

His blocks are down significantly and his athleticism on the perimeter isn't good. Plus his contract is up in two years when he turns 30. Idk if he is worth giving back the 18 pick.

Call me crazy but I would rather move Warren than Bender.

Just researched and Whiteside's never been an All-Star despite a career average of 18-15-3 per 36.

I would have preferred him at 26 as he'd only play one full season under 30.

I'd rather move Chriss out of the 3, but if it came down to Warren or Bender, i hate to say it, but it would be Bender.

He barely plays 30 minutes. From what i have seen (Game wise) he tends to get tired pretty quick. (He's also killing my fantasy team by being out again (Has missed 9 out of 24 games already)).

If we make a win now move Warren should stay ahead of rookie potential.

Yep. I do. Both extremely limited on offense. Being athletic and active on defense are his main selling points. I don't know. I guess we'll see what he can do.

Josh Jackson being "extremely limited" on offense is hyperbole to a T.

He cant shoot...

He can penetrate, pass, slash and push the ball in transition.... yes, he's extremely limited.... "extreme"

He can’t dribble either.

He’s nothing like Childress though cause yeah he can actually drive and pass somewhat.
