For KAT.
Booker/KAT would be too good to be true. They're best friends and two of the best young players in the game.
KAT is worth the godfather offer it will take to get him.
You would trade the #1 pick for KAT who can't play D
KAT has one more year of control - Ayton has four more years of control
I think that needs to be reviewed. KAT has been in the league three years, played under Thibs and his defense is not good. I am fine with Ayton over KAT.

And other than the "control" part...the cost control....4 more years of rookie contract..

Yeah, I heard that interview. It was normal generic standard McD stuff.
I hope he doesn't trade the #1 pick for KAT just because Booker and him are buddies. If Thibs can't make him a plus defender that's not good. Though reading what I'm typing seems strange that I wouldn't want to "draft" KAT with 3 years pro experience this year so maybe I'm not thinking clearly and am way too high on these picks.
bwgood77 wrote:I won't be surprised if he does. If there is a better way to put your money where your mouth is when you say "We will add young guys with experience and can't add a bunch of rookies" then trading the #1 pick for KAT is clearly doing that.
I wonder how the fanbase would react.

You're silly to discount the buddy factor.
Look, the NBA is a boys club. Booker and Towns want to play together and everyone knows it. Getting those two as franchise cornerstones immediately makes Phoenix an attractive destination for any player under 24. Booker/Towns are two of the "coolest" young players in the league.
Right now we're a second-rate franchise. The only way we're ever going to win a championship is if we change that conversation. Booker/Towns would be immediate ambassadors for this city and the Phoenix Suns brand. You just can't put a price on that.

I 100% would not.
