U realize Ayton played like this here as well! Fans just expected him 24/12 and to dunk every ball. They didn’t appreciate him when he played well and only called out any bad games! They also didn’t keep the same energy if book , cp3 etc played like crap

Right?

That's what I find funny about all this "early" talk even in my most frustrated of moments (like vs. the Spurs B2B).

There is ALOT of basketball left. An efficient double double is what DA gave the Suns and in Portland on a starting front line where he doesn't have a true 4 next to him (just like PHX) he's doing it there too. Breaking news: HE SHOULD BE DOING THAT! That deserves praise? The big credit to him so far are the steals because that shows effort right now.

The part I find funny though is that it's being overlooked JJJ had 30pts, 10 rebs, 3 blks on him. He's the Grizz starting C. He gave up 20pts, 12 rebs, 4 blks to Zubac, and 35pts, 15rebs, 6blks, 2 stls to Embiid. The hell do I care how he looked vs. Marvin Bagley?

He rarely battled the big names before and isn't so far this year. He's still mostly the same player sans the steals.

Going back/forth in this thread after every single game (especially early in the year) is just for the guys looking to whine about the Suns or who wanna argue. I say let's all come back at the ASB.

Tell us you didn’t watch the games without telling us lol ! Ayton played great defense and is hustling!

Wasn’t even on JJJ other than like 20% of the time. And when he was . JJJ has 12/4….

Go enjoy Nurkic ! Def know who you voted for , can’t admit when dude does good and only tries to be negative ! Look at life differently and maybe you will be happy

OK I'll play this game.

If DA is this elite level center that you make him out to be - why was he only "on JJJ 20% of the time"? That's the other teams starting 5! That's his man!

You don't even realize what you're saying.

Pretty sure you were the one that said DA can get 24/12 on another team... I don't think any of us expected those numbers after we saw his second year.

Yeah I truly thought he could get 24 ppg . But his team is young shot jackers. Dude is leading the league in rebounds and top 10 steals

Putting him on Tillman makes a lot more sense than having him out on the 3 line chasing jjj or contesting 3s and getting dumb fouls which he is known to do

He should be able to get career highs in rebounds this season with all the bricks the Blazers are putting up.

Even Brogdon is looking for his own shot more than trying to get his teammates involved.

So anyways, you think hes going to avg 2.3 steals and 14 rebounds a game through the whole year? Brave. I'll check in, just like you did after 6 games.

7 points 2 rebounds less then what you predicted before. Stunning.

Isn't the discussion what he can do completely moot, the guy straight up didn't wanna be here, so much that he bailed on his professional team in the playoffs. I've played organized sports my entire youth and young adulthood and never had anyone quit on my teams even if we had fights before or in game.
Him being off the team, like he specifically asked to be, is the only sensible option.

Sssshhhhhh you're saying the obvious part out loud. Don't ruin this masturbation session for these guys.

They literally cape up and fluff for a known quitter of their own favorite basketball team. That's mental. But but but we should've FORCED him to stay because that worked out really well after we matched the Pacers offer. That is the logic we are dealing with in this thread.

He didn't quit..the more you repeat this nonsense doesn't make it true...despite how many others have said it.

Yes he did. No matter how many times you want to deny it.

He purposely didn't play up to what he could after the Suns matched the Pacers offer - the worse kept secret the entire league knew. Then he refused to get back in the historic blowout loss vs the Mavs and couldn't tough out a rib injury vs the Nugs (in a closeout game) oh btw he was getting manhandled by Jokic all series. But but but Jokic once "said" DA plays him the toughest lol.

Fact is if he lived up to even a SHRED of what he was supposed to the Suns are likely hanging their first NBA Finals banner. Instead dude was all in his feelings instead of maximizing a championship window on a contender. Dude is quitter. That's his DNAyton.

He didn't have the best year last year obviously but he wasn't purposely playing bad. That's absurd. As for the last playoff game, rib contusions are no joke...I watched the QB of the Chargers try to play with one...he was visibly hurt, weeks after getting hit with pads on. You are talking a couple days later. And for the Dallas game, I know what Skip Bayless said Lil Wayne said he saw/heard, but that's just conjecture..third hand from not the best sports guy, and that game was over by a long shot...all we know is their was an argument when emotions were high from getting blown out in a game 7. You can blame him all you want, but trying to make him a scapegoat for the team's "failures" the past two years is a joke. He probably played more than anyone last year for the Suns...and the year before CP3 was the biggest reason for the Suns demise even though he was likely injured. Jokic manhandles everyone. He was on a different level last year.
