It's easy for them. Play any big man. He will be told to just rebound. He gets rebounds. Trade him to us for multiple picks because we desperately need a C. Repeat.

Update?

Is he still a good source

He said we are trading 10 and Beal for Wolf. That can still happen but it would require Wolf to be there, likely to Washington since they are young and now need a C and also was a team that was rumored to be ok taking Beal (plus it's likely he would be ok going back there since his family knows it).

Never mind, I guess they don't really need a C having drafted Sarr last year.

Would be nice if we kept him. He is pretty raw. Give us a guy when Williams gets injured after Richards is gone.

They can probly dump Martin into someone's exception (or just waive him). Then they could save money in a Royce/Grayson deal relatively easily I would think. But yeah Micic was their easiest avenue to cutting salary so they'll have to cut more than originally thought (which costs more in compensation potentially).

This will end up in a big disaster
Oso, Williams, Richards, Khaman that is not a winning big man rotation
Then you have a gazillion SG.

Richards is expiring, Khaman is somewhat of a project, and Williams is very injury prone. I think all would play quite a bit this year. And after Richards is gone it's a nice C rotation.

Oso is going to need to learn to hit the 3 and play the 4 if he is going to stick around.

But maybe we trade Richards (can't remember the rules about trading a guy where you picked up his option).

I think Williams is a better player but the concern is injuries for two FRPs. Granted still cheap and if healthy can stay healthy …. It’s fine

And I like the Malauch pick for sure

Yang Hansen seems good. WTF is Portland doing, though?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Would you trade Jalen Green for Jrue Holiday? Rumor is Holiday doesn't want to be in Portland. He's really old but sounds like something Ishbia would want to do.

Dude the odds the suns get a player who avg 13/10 and is 23 years old at #29 is like .0005% …. Like we got a starting C

That's exactly it. Health is the major question mark but Mark Williams is a very good C. LA were willing to overpay for him

The fact that he is 23 and still on a rookie contract is very solid though. At least we control him, can match, and likely won't have to pay him a lot due to all of his injuries only playing 106 games in 3 years.

I think we're basically gambling that he'll be our starting C but he'll probably miss a bunch of time as well so Maluach will be there to mop up all those injury minutes.

Wah Wah Wah. You cried about SG and now Big Men. We still have trades, its the offseason!

Right now I run

Green / Sign Westbrook or D-Lo / Gillespie
Booker / Beal
Brooks / Allen
Dunn / O'Neal
Williams / Richards / Maluach / OSO

We can trade

Richards, Allen, O'Neale, Beal

That can get us 2-3 more players.

I do wish that one of our 4 centers could stretch the floor. I also wish we had a good lob passer to take advantage of these newly acquired rim runners.
