Deal.

I would take that deal in a heartbeat. A lot better than gambling on Bender from my pov.

Yes. If the pick is not traded, we will be selecting whoever our FO deems BPA regardless of fit or position.

God, I hope your right.

PHX sends: #4, Brandon Knight (24), Tyson Chandler (33)
ORL sends: #11, Elfrid Payton (22), Nikola Vucevic (25)

Vucevic has a lot of the same qualities that Okafor has, but instead of moving out of #4 completely, you move from #4 to #11. This trade gets you younger and Elf and Nik are easy players to fall in love with.

For ORL, I'm interested in drafting Dunn mainly. Don't need Knight or Chandler per se, but I was looking at ways to make a trade reasonably work.

I'm not sure about swapping #4 for #11. We would need an additional first round pick or two.

What about #4 for #11 + Vucevic?

You would be jumping seven spots. Maybe if you add in next years first rounder.

Goran, Vucevic is a good player. Averaged 18/9. One of the better centers in the league. Only 25. Locked up for the next 3 seasons at a reasonable salary. Plus we still would have two lottery picks. Its a good deal.

In Skins original proposal he had them acquiring Knight, which shows there must be some kind of interest there, so what about....

#4/Knight for #11/Vucevic/Oladipo.

Oladipo is kind of redundant for us. Another shooting guard. Not a great shooter. pass.

Honestly i would do what Orlando did 2 season ago and use him at PG. He would effectively be a back-up PG/SG.

Jah for 4/Len -

Bledsoe-Knight
Booker-Bogdan
TJ-PJ
Tele-Chriss/Davis
Okafor-Tyson

Go for a Blazers/Jazz type overachievement and look attractive to FA's next summer. Still have cap space and future picks to make trades.

I actually like that. As long as Book and TJ step up on the D a little. Telly next to Okafor would not be the best on D, but it damn sure would be mean on O.

1. I think that is a overpay on our part.

2. I think the last thing they need is yet another young C.

3. Len could be better used in a trade with some other team.

I think we'd need Bender to make Okafor work. His D and potential rim protection would be big. Meaning, I'd only do it if we could keep pick 4.

We don't have any other asset that would interest Philly as a centerpiece

Knights name keeps popping up... Not to mention that the "Centerpiece" of this trade is the #4 pick.

It probably is a slight overpay but from Philly's perspective I doubt Embiid plays significant minutes right away so they can ease him in with Len on board (do they even have another C on the the roster?)... Plus he's a RFA so they're not tied to him. If Embiid doesn't pan out they have the ability to let the market dictate Len's value with the ability to match.

knight + 4 for okafor is the basis. If the 76ers include something else, which would be fair would be a late pick. This trade is very good ... it puts another player of the same age (booker), and I believe that 80% of fans here want to build around it. He and Okafor would be wonderful. Len, Warren and others can bring us another great piece.

Yes, yes he is. Even moreso to us, but to them obtaining a PG of his caliber is a definite step up and fulfilling a need that they have.

Once again, the whole idea is for them to get the #4 pick. That is the meat & potatoes of this trade, that is what they are trying to obtain, so anything extra is a bonus for them and helps push their hand to do it.

I also still believe that we can end up doing it straight up for the #4 without adding players. Celtics tried to obtain Jah last season and 76ers wanted their (Brooklyns) 1st and Smart (who has been rather underwhelming). Celtics turned them down. Celtics were fine doing the draft pick straight up (This was at the February Trade deadline) when Brooklyn was slated to receive the 5th pick. 76ers wanted a bit more, but Boston wouldnt budge.

So either Philly can get a spot HIGHER than Boston was originally offering in February, or they can take the pick and MAYBE nab Knight, who is currently 3x's the player that they were asking for in Smart (i would also ask for a late 1st if Knight is involved).

They do have another, he's a little known player name NERLINS NOEL. I think you may know the kid, defensive juggernaut, currently better than Len, the guy we passed on to draft Len.

Knight is an empty stat padder who plays solely for himself, he makes no impact on his team whatsoever.. Smart is also flawed due to his broken jumper/ shooting well below 40% from the field but his defense is near All-NBA level already as a sophomore, he can guard positions 1-4effectively. He held his own matching up against Milsap one on one with no help.
