Nice haul for Atlanta to take a year of Crabbe. Brooklyn is now fully in the add two max FA land.

I meant Hawks getting the FRP. So they have 8 10 and 17

Wonder if they would be interested in 6 for 10 + 17. If Clarke is available at 10

Can we absorb Dinwiddie's contract and just trade the #6 pick for him?

That way the Nets would create cap space to sign two max (or close) contracts without renouncing to DLo.

Looks like Nets now have about $49 million in cap space including Russell's hold. If they pick up Prince's option they have about $45.5. So if they did renounce Russell's hold they would get to between $66-$70 million in cap space, assuming they renounce all other holds and waive unguaranteed players...and keep their late first (from Denver).

Probably but that just gives them $5 million or more in cap space...unless they trade the pick for a future asset. They would probably prefer next year's first but that would have to be protected.

Dude, do you ever not talk about Clarke? This obsession of yours is getting unhealthy.

Say the Suns get 10 and 17 and they do get Clarke - 17 would be a decent "asset" to add to a trade. Could they use 17 to attach to Tyler Johnson to get JRs contract - that might be steep. But it would be a better asset than the Bucks pick. And the Suns do not need two rookies.

I can see the NEts in the lead for Kyrie. But even if not, they are going all in. Good trade for both teams.

Dinwiddie replied to Kellan Olson. Either he is trolling Phoenix fans or he wants to play in Phoenix.

I am going to use Nevel as my new "Gambo" until proven otherwise:

Atlanta was rumored to be looking to trade up. As someone above suggested do 6 for 10 and 17. Then trade 17 and Johnson to the Cavs for Smith.

I’m really curious to see what the Nets do with this cap space. Kyrie and DLo is an interesting but unorthodox backcourt pairing.

I think plan A is probably Kyrie and durrant. Which not only would be a great talent grab but also a giant FU to the Knicks and Celtics which is an added bonus.

Plan B is probably Kyrie and DLo then using the rest of the space to add some front court depth. Brook Lopez returning would be kind of interesting.

IF the tea leaves or rumor mill is positive with news of signing a free agent or needing the cap space. Tyler does have value that I would not want to trade on a "hope and prayer"

Don't settle for 17, trade for the 8 and 10 picks. use one to trade for Dinwiddie or Gordon, and the other to get Clarke.

If Monty doesn't like it from a basketball fit, then I'm sure he wouldn't like Dinwiddie with Booker either. Perhaps he also isn't fond of having two maxed out twenty-year-old best friends on the same team. A potential for too much drama?

I kind of wish Ashley would elaborate on why. There has to be some sort of reason she believes this. It somewhat makes sense given their high usage.

Though Philly seemed to be happy to let D'Lo launch as many shots as he wanted in their first round series this year because he was by far Brooklyn's least efficient scorer (other than Carroll)....it basically killed them, so he may not think much of D'Lo. Look at his # of shots and TS% in that series.

I like the way you think man! I was just about to suggest something along those lines too.

Getting the 10 and 17 would allow us to quite possibly get both Clarke AND Nickiel Alexander Walker.

Or IF Clarke is already gone by 10, Then Kabengele and Jerome?

Then at 32, take Zylan Cheatham or Carson Edwards.

Could you guys imagine having the potent scoring of both Warren and Edwards for the 2nd unit?

It would be funny if we traded 17 back to the Nets for Dinwiddie. Maybe include 32 or milwo1st
