I actually like this a lot for Orlando. I don't think they'll miss those 1sts too much. Suggs/Bane/Franz/Paolo/Goga or Carter Jr. is a pretty nice lineup.matt131 wrote:?s=46
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Well, out 2026 and their 2030 seem to be the most intresting picks there. Our pick next year should be from like 10-16 (if we dont jump, and the return for KD is in line with our expectations). Their 2030 could be anything, as young players like to leave Orlando for greener pastures, so I'm not 100% sure that either Paolo/Wagner or Suggs be there (and be healthy).

I just don't see that attractive of a package unless it's #9 and other 1sts.
At a minimum it'd have to be RJ, Poetl, and #9. I also don't see the point of RJ for us. It's the same issue as the Spurs package with vassell

That's where a 3rd team getting involved will be pivotal for some of these packages. This aspect also makes it REALLY hard to predict what a KD will ultimately look like.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Jesus H @ that Bane trade. Must be nice to have a front office that knows how to negotiate. Granted KD is 36, but how much better is he than Bane? Feels like the Suns should be getting at least 2 picks back now or I’d consider it a negotiating failure

Also shoutout to GoK for hyping Bane during his draft (though you hype just about everyone…

Re: The Official 2025 Offseason Thread Part 2
Houston and Miami would be my two favorite options for trades based on all the rumors so far.
Jabari Smith, Shepperd, salary fillers plus at least two of our picks back for KD.
Or the Miami option with 3 of their picks plus Ware and salary fillers.
I really like Ware, maybe more than most people here so that’s why. I could be wrong on thinking the guy will be a stud too but idk I really like him as a prospect as of right now.

Ware has untapped potential with 3 years left on his rookie deal. He’s likely untouchable.
I’m good with Jovic and two firsts.

If right, I would try to trade KD to the Raptors. The package can be good for us and also he would be playing in the East, instead of facing him many more times and during the PO (hopefully) in the West with Houston, San Antonio, Minnesota or whoever...
Ingram and Quickley and a pick/two would be great for me.
The Bane trade just ruined our options of trading Beal to the Magic, one potential suitor.
Ja Morant is playing hard with the franchise. They got rid of the coach, then the best player on the roster so Ja can bright.

I'm not sure the NBA works like that (anymore). Its not a 3 year old Ford Mustang where you can set a price and be done with it. Also, just becouse one team is stpd and overpays (like we did with KD, and now Magic did for Bane) it doesn't mean that a smart team like Miami or SA will overpay for KD... But here is hoping, I would love the no2 pick this year

I think RJ could be used more as a SF next to Booker than Vassel. RJ is more than an inch taller and 10 pounds heavier, has 2-2,5 more rebounds per game, so he wouldn't necessarily be have to traded elsewhere. Plus I think he is a better player than Vassel - unless Vassel makes another leap. Poetl is a good starting C. If we get 9th pick and maybe another wing (Agbaji or Dick) that would be gravy. Either to trade or fill up the bench so you can trade our bench wings - too bad the Orlando-Anthony thing is out the window... although I'm not sure Memphis really wants to keep Anthony as Pippen jr had a very nice season as a backup PG for them.

The bane trade is why the Suns should be open to trading Booker
Just be open to listening
Trading Book and KD could change the rebuild quickly

We would cut almost 30 millon off our books and get the later picks back. This also allows Houston to keep this year's pick. Nets get a playere that can get them 40 on any given night and someone to build around while keeping all of their picks.

Re: The Official 2025 Offseason Thread Part 2
Booker could get 5 first rounders and a decent couple of young talent...
Given that Bane is a superior defensive player or at least has the reputation to be a solid defender.
Ishiba should be gauging Booker's value in any case.
