I like the Suns trade here: https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-draft-2018-five-potential-trades-that-make-sense-including-a-kawhi-leonard-deal/

Russell and Book are boys, he's a decent 3pt shooter. Needs to be much more efficient/productive with his shot. But worth the 16th pick IMO.

I would do it. Pretty sure DLo is eligible for an extension this offseason similar to Booker yet I haven’t heard anything about the Nets plans and his future with them. The Nets could be liking someone with our pick, and we could even give them the 31st pick if that helps them.

The problem is that Russell is a crappy point guard. He is a shooting guard who likes the ball in his hands and Booker is our Shooting guard.

Suns fans seem to love trying to force 2's into being 1's.

Uhhh we aren't forcing him into anything...he's played PG his entire career, including college. If you want to say he's better suited as a SG, that's ok. Weird way to express your point.

Igor is a point guard whisperer. I love the idea of Russell for #16.

Russell actually had favorable numbers to Book up until this year. He's really freaking good for his age. I would trade for him quite easily

Russell
Booker
Jackson
Bender/Chriss
Ayton

is a great young lineup with upside at each position

Yes there is a reason why both the Lakers and now the Nets are willing part ways with him. Because while it is a solid scorer he isnt setting up his team or making the best choices to help them win. I believe he is a natural 2 guard and that is the role he should take but every time someone talks about him playing the 2 he claims he is a 1 and doesnt want to play the 2.

I would prefer Fultz or Russell as Suns combo guard next to Booker than anyone at Pick 16.

Also Ball... I feel would be amazing play maker on the Suns. His dad has quiet down as of late probably realized he can't bully GMs to draft all his kids....

But any of those 3 would be awesome core member going forward

That is the lineup I had in a GMAT I just did. Added Luc Mbah a Moute and KCP as rotation/compete for starting spot vets on one year deals as well. I think theu are better this year and they maintain flexibility moving forward.

And yet the Lakers and now the Nets seems as if they cant get him out of town fast enough. Why do you think that is?

Han: Sacramento craves a star. But rather than send the No. 2 overall pick off for a Kawhi rental, why not aim for a player still on his rookie contract and eligible to extend for five more seasons?

In Booker, the Kings would add a 20-point scorer on a similar timeline with De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, building a perimeter-oriented shooting lineup in the Bay Area mold owner Vivek Ranadive so desperately covets.

For Phoenix, Deandre Ayton or Luka Doncic. Luka Doncic or DeAndre Ayton. Why choose? If the most valuable asset to the Suns is the No. 1 overall pick and there is any doubt over who should be selected first, just get both prospects. Oh, and pick up a sneaky good player in Bogdanovic in the process.

Except I would actually do that trade....

Take Booker out and replace him with Jackson and I’d do it.

I like Jackson a lot but I do think Doncic will be a better than him within the next 1-2 years.

Patrick Beverley just had micro-fracture and meniscus surgery on his knee and is about to be 30. I like his game and think he'd be a good fit for us, but there's definitely a risk there.

D'Angelo Russell's played PG 86% (under Byron Scott), 93%, and 99% of the time in his years in the NBA. If he's a SG, so far three of his coaches--including a pretty damn decent one in Brooklyn--haven't figured that out yet.

also he's expiring

he's not worth much right now
