I really like him! Perhaps he could be a covert option for us at 10. But if we're being honest, He probably doesn't even make it to 10 anyways. So perhaps that why he's not being discussed as much. But I'd still be quite happy if he somehow fell to us. :D

https://nba.nbcsports.com/2020/11/03/report-celtics-wizards-magic-trying-to-trade-up-in-nba-draft/

League sources say both the Celtics and Magic are trying to move up into the mid-lottery using their own first-round picks, and the Wizards are angling to move up from no. 9.

I suppose I could see Detroit possibly taking them up on that offer, As they have plenty of cap room to spare, And could definitely use more depth across the board. HOWEVER, If they don't, Then perhaps we could get a deal done around something like: The 10th pick for the 14 and 26th picks. Or maybe even The 10th pick for Kanter/ Poirier/ 14th/26th and 30th picks. This specific trade might interest them, As they not only move up, But also save around 8-9 million ( pick swap included). Then do as Kerrsed suggested. Grab a guard at 14, A big ( 4/5), at 26. And perhaps a project wing at 30? :dontknow:

10) Kira Lewis Jr. [19, 6-3, Alabama]

Lewis is an absolute speed demon in the open floor, and he showed a ton of maturity in reclassifying and starting for Alabama as a very green freshman. He then improved significantly in his second year in Tuscaloosa, showing that he has what it takes to be a true floor general. Lewis also did a lot to prove that he is getting better as a shooter, which is why I’m sold on him as a future starter at the next level.

Definitely has some versatility and solid upside as a low cost elite shooting/ playmaking two way ( contract) prospect that could likely be had in the 50s' to 60s' range of the draft. He's the perfect example of an extreme value pick.

And let's be honest, Can you ever really have too many weapons offensively or too many elite shooters? :D

Yup, Detroit only has 8 players under contract, so a bunch of cheap and youthful talent might be exactly what the Pistons are looking for instead of just a single player. I do hear that they really like Killian Hayes though, have him as the top prospect and would like to make The French Connection with fellow Frenchman Doumbouya.

Yep!
And I gotta say that I do really hope that they stay put and don't deal with Boston, Because that would help us line up as a perfect alternative team two trade up with. Especially considering that Atlanta would easily have better potential offers from either San Antonio, And Sacramento. San Antonio could offer something around Derrick White and the 12th pick. Or even add in Derozan If it interests Atlanta. And Sac-town could offer Hield and the 12th pick or Hield/ 12th/ 35th picks? But other than Detroit, I really don't see much of another viable trade up option materializing. So we are actually primed for this deal.

The Suns need players with experience to make the next jump not late picks in a super weak draft. I highly doubt we move.

See, this is where people are confused.

There is a lot of good usable talent in the draft. Guys that will have long solid careers. Its just there is no real "Super-star" standouts at the top of the draft.

In some drafts you have that top tier with one or two players that are talked about as "Generational Talent". Now in most drafts that top tier is not there and it goes straight to the next tier which is projected to be sure-fire cant miss star players, then tier 3 with guys who have the potential to maybe be a star player, then tier 4 with the solid role players (Glue guys) that have NBA talent in a few areas. This draft is just missing the Top two tiers. It goes straight to tier 3 with a small handful of names, with the rest of the first round making up a lot of those normal "Tier 4" players.

Basically what Kerrsed so eloquently pointed out! But also, That can still of course be additionally achieved through free agency. It's best to address both the long AND short game, As well as depth issues through both. :D

Kira Lewis Jr. is gaining steam, earning workouts for the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks. Sources tell Bleacher Report the Phoenix Suns have a lot of interest as well.

I am starting to think that we are not gonna draft Kira because there are too many people knowing or hearing about our interest in him...that does not make sense with the way Bower and Jones have worked since taking over the FO.

I mean...some info can get out and someone can hear something but in this case is already too much.

But all in all I still would like to draft him at #10.

Classic misdirection tactic by Jones? I still have them taking Bane or Terry currently. But perhaps they're trying to pressure some team a bit further back into moving up with them to secure Lewis, And allowing us to get back additional assets. :dontknow:

Riller!!! 8-)
Next, My money is on Tillie. But also intrigued to see Tyshon Alexander whom I'm not McD identified way back months ago. And also K J Martin Jr. whose a big value undrafted wing prospect to be considered. Has really good bloodlines as Kenyon Martin is his dad! But has high end athleticism, solid energy and defensive potential versatility. Wouldn't be bad as a 3rd unit backup wing that could be mentored by Oubre and Bridges? ( Although I'd still prefer Josh Hall or Naji Marshall first).
