Re: 2019 season speculation including trade ideas
Right now I would only trade for Ty+Kaminsky+Carter +1st round. Whoever that can bring us, if it can improve our roster is ok.
Nobody outside that should be traded

This would be my offer as well. Keep Saric in case of an injury to Love. We'd have all our bases covered for the next few years.

I just want to see Saric for 10-15 games with Ayton
I also want to see Frank off the bench with Baynes

Damn that, Baynes with Ayton.

Not sure where to put it, so here it goes... Ty Jerome is not quick enough to be an NBA player. I loved the pick, and I thought he will be adequate in this regard, but he is on the wrong side of the fine line of "athletic enough" / "not athletic enough". He is not Kendall Marshall slow, but just not quick enough. This, coupled up with his inability to dribble and his age make me want to include him in a trade before word is out and he loses all value. Sorry

I'd be happy with either of those.

One guy I would be looking at seriously is Robert Covington. He would fit alongside Ayton like a glove, and allow Saric/Baynes to backup the 4/5.
Would Tyler Johnson + Top 5 protected 1st get the job done? Might have to take back a contract....
No, they highly covet Covington. They wouldn't trade him for DLo and REALLY wanted DLo. Covington works perfectly at PF next to Towns. It changed their team when they got him in the Butler trade.

They are also in the playoff race with a relatively young nucleus so I doubt they are looking to reload. They are more than likely looking to improve their roster like us. They have a lot of cap space for 2021 as of now.

Yeah, I think if they do anything it will be one of these...
MIN: Chris Paul and Andre Roberson
OUT: Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague

Why are we trying to get Love? He doesn't make us a contender.
Let's see how the team plays with Ayton back, and our depth fixed.
Ya'll are acting like we need to be contenders this year. There is no way.

Both trades are trash. TJ is a good piece to get a bigger star due to expiring. Dont want to get stuck with dumb players. Not the way we are looking ahead

Re: 2019 season speculation including trade ideas
I’d give Jerome more time (not necessarily more minutes). Coaching staff loved Jerome over the summer.. let’s give him some time to get back into sync.

Jermome will be fine, he has to learn to be more aggressive, that 1st game he consistently was able to get people on his hip and keep them their, like what Doncic does, he has a great little floater so it forces the bigs to commit, just needs to get in the lane more and cause havoc than float 3 feet outside of the 3 point line.

Yeah, I agree, but I'd still give Okobo some minutes too...maybe split duties a bit for backup, or alternate on b2bs.

Re: 2019 season speculation including trade ideas
Jerome needs to start shooting the ball when he's open. The footspeed is one thing - hopefully something better conditioning and training can take care of. But by continuing to pass up open shots, he's really hurting the team. Nash was always looking to pass, but he was always threatening to score. Jerome needs to make defenses respect him before he goes out hunting assists.
Also, I was really impressed by how he reacted after Teague blew past him to the rim the first time they matched up. It was a bad, bad play. But after that, Teague failed to get anything going against him, with Jerome using positioning and strength to keep Teague off balance. Immediate in-game improvement. Good sign.

The insane hatred Schroeders game would bring out on this board is almost worth trading for him just for entertainment purposes.m1chal wrote:Jorgeglez7 wrote:What about this?
