Beal and Booker have similar games, with Beal more inclined to shoot the two and a stronger attacker of the rim and better defender, although much more prone to get injured.
If Beal cannot be moved, we should find out what we could get for Booker. We just need a first level SG in the roster. One of the two has to go, because spending 100 million a year in two similar SGs is completely stupid.
If KD is also moved, then we can get back some interesting players so our roster is decent enough next year as to think about the PO or even further.
Depending on the coach and the culture he is able to implement here.

If we end up without KD and Booker and only have Beal. We are screwed. Beal is nothing compared to Booker, beal sucks and is a waste of contract

Can we send multiple players to them in the sign and trade? Or do we think he is only gonna get 15 is mil per year like Grayson?

Grayson has $54.2M/3 years left on his contract with the Suns. $18.1 per year.

That could be enough to match Kuminga's new per year salary. IDK if we can send multiple players.

Edit:

Bobby Marks:

Kuminga will receive a $7.9M Qualifying Offer by June 29.

After that there are 4 options:

1. Sign with Golden State.
2. Sign an offer sheet with a team with room (BKN is the only team with $30M+). The Warriors have the right to match.
3. Sign-and-trade (50% of his salary counts as outgoing salary)
4. Sign the QO and become a UFA in 2026

A straight swap? I'd do that all day. Kuminga has talent, he's just miscast with Kerr as his coach. Wonder what a deal would look like?

Hope brooklyn has bigger fish to fry this summer as opposed to Kuminga and we can make that happen.

I would trade Grayson straight up for him.

Its not Beal v Booker - its the team you can build around Beal or Booker - assuming Durant is traded

I think you can build a better team around Beal with trading Booker than vice versa.

Booker is so much better than Beal at this point, it's not even a comparison.

How much better would Rockets be by trading Sengun & Green for Giannis?

Without adding dynamic shooting and floor spacing, slightly better than they currently are. But just exacerbating their non shooting issues even more with Giannis.

He is not a good fit with the Rockets if they have to give up Sengun and Green. If they trade for him it will be just to get a big name player. He's a good fit with the Spurs and Wembanyama because he needs a big to help take the pressure off him so he can kill you in the paint. That's his game and Wembanyama commands double teams and so does he so it's a perfect fit.

This! And of course floor spacing being important so that defenses can't employ the wall technique to slow Giannis down. Keep him from the rim as he can't shoot. Wemby can though and would create a very unique dynamic.

I'm thinking it might be best to put Raynaud at the top of our draft big board! His growth is astonishing and IF he becomes more physical or at least adjusts well to the physicality of the league, I think he projects quite similarly to Sengun! And would be a really dynamic frontcourt option/ compliment to Ighodaro for the future. Overall currently I'd have my top 5 at 29 as:

1- Maxime Raynaud.
2- Yaxel Lendeborg.
3- Adou Thiero.
4- Ryan Kalkbrenner.
5- Rocco Zisarky.

I think you ride it out with Beal. I kinda would rather let him play it out next year and see if he has value to someone after next year as an expiring contract, rather than buy him out IF (THAT WAS AN IF....), you are trading Durant If we are not competing anyway, why clear the space? Durant just may be the piece that dose not fit when you factor in the 3. No defense, rebounding, banger inside presence, post game... big man **** etc. Depending on what you get for Durant, if you can get put athleticism, someone who has some post game and defense at the C, Pf and Sf (Dunn already at Sf), elevating Beal's pecking order in the offense along side Book might be our better option than stretching him. But we need to get rid of the tweener, non athletic players in Allen, O"neale and even stop the Bol experiment. Roster building has been the problem here, too many similar players, no one to do certain things. Nurk was our only banger/post scorer. Once he left, we had on one who was a danger to do that at all. No 2 man game at all when the big is not a threat. Not only were our bigs not a threat to post, but we had NO stretch bigs at all. No pick and pop, no throw it in the post and move to get open. Even a big like Frank the Tank would have been helpful as a threat if you hedged the pick or sunk in to the midrange to stop the only thing Book, Durant and even Beal are kinda known for.... MIDRANGE!! Beal is also a slasher but the other teams bigs didn't have to respect our bigs enough to create any room to do so. IDK, it was so screwed up on so many levels, I have no Idea what would have worked better if better built.

That is not up for debate -- Booker is better than Beal

It is more how do you build the best team forward. Beal has negative trade value. Durant is not going to get nearly as much as people think "Kevin F'in Durant" will get. Meaning, this isn't any player, its Kevin Durant.

If we can't get any legitimately better options for KD this summer and only get lowball offers, rather than keeping him, I'd honestly rather just do this, and get a top 3 pick in the deal even if taking hack George in the exchange for the multitude of options it'd open up for us that I've previously shared.

And even though I don't really want George here, I'd strongly consider this for the top 3 pick as we'll likely not see this high of a pick (at least not one we'd own ourselves) for the next decade or so!

Would either team consider Beal for Wiggins+Rozier? I mean, thats pretty equal garbage going both ways right? And If we did something like that, would you consider keeping KD with a starting lineup around Rozier, Booker, Wiggs, Kd, ??? Richards for now?

Obviously we love to do that trade, but I doubt the Heat wants to do it because of Beal's NTC.

Rozier wouldn't start for us because he was literally one of the worst players in the league. He has regressed badly...but at least he is on an expiring deal.

I would keep KD in this scenario, no doubt about it.

Looking at Beal's Basketball Reference stats, I reiterate that IF we trade Kd, we should turn Beal loose at Pg for us this year instead of buying him out... (IF WE CANT TRADE HIM). His stats show no drop off as far as efficiency, just the amount of usage. His minutes per game are down a little and the ball is in his hands to score less. But his shot percentages, rebounds, turnover rate, have not gone out of whack. Being a more focal point without KD and he would still score 20+ a game and be a better defender than Book. We can ride that out rather than buy him out. Beal is out of sorts in his role, so a role change may help still. If you trade KD, start Beal at pg next to Booker (Booker starting at sf made me feel like kicking my tv off the stand), and put guys on the floor that fit. Post/pick guy, lob threat, defenders and let he and Book cook for a year. Beal, Book, Dunn + up-tempo could be fun.

Go look at Terry the year before going to the Heat and look at the first like month of him being there. He then got neutered (role change like Beal) and never really found any footing after. One year didn't make him a terrible player, style of play and role changed who he was. He could be the alpha male that Booker needs for all we know. As a starter with liberties, he would be a different animal. NOW, I have no clue is that animal would be correct for us, just that **** changes when you ask someone who has been successful playing a certain way for 20+ years to just change it to fit better. Kinda like Bud trying to make Beal be Jrue. Or telling Booker to stop talking on the floor, YOU KNOW.... STOP BEING YOU!!!

Maybe I just dont like the color...?

:o

In all seriousness, if this KD-PG thing happens (please let Philly trade us the #3 for KD) then we should loop in Utah in order to see if they'll give us Walker Kessler to switch #5 for #3
