Yeh, better keep the homerism in check. Not cool to compare him to Jordan, but Wade is reasonable.

LOL.

He's a Dwyane Wayne at best.

He's a Shannon Brown at worst.

Yes, he could be good...but MJ? LOL LOL LOL

I think he's saying that he looks like Jordan, which he does. I believe Kerrsed has a gif that proves that.

I'm not saying he'll be as good as MJ, I'm just saying he'll revolutionize the game of basketball like no player since MJ came into the league.

At only 19, it's possible he could grow to be 6'6" or even 6'7" with a bit of luck.

As it currently stands, 6'5" is a bit short for an off guard. Historically it seems like 6'6" is average. Then again, lately it seems like entire league is shrinking. Maybe it's all the junk food us 80's baby's had access to growing up in the late 80's and early 90's. You know, fruit roll ups, lunchables, nutty bars, McDonalds, etc.

About to order my Goodwin jersey. I think I'll go with the white.

Exactly...the kid is still only 18 so we have plenty of time. Maybe this time we wont repeat the mistake we made when we drafted Amare and completely forget to teach him how to play defense. Oh, Amare..I miss that huge ego.

Not sure if anyone's posted this - I don't recall seeing it, but anyway:
http://www.usab.com/mens/hoopsummit/12_ ... odwin.html

It's from 2012 but you can't help but like his attitude - quite a mature outlook for a guy who was 17 at the time.

What is your least favorite training routine or drill?
One thing I do hate to do is when I’m lifting weights, I hate to work on my shoulders because they burn so bad when I’m done. But, I know that it’s going to benefit me in the end, so I still go do my thing, work out and do it as hard as I can.

I'd be ecstatic with any of the guys his previous coaches have compared him to! :D
Who do you most like to be compared to?
I don’t like comparisons, because I like to think of myself as having my own style, but I’ve heard lots of different names. I’ve heard Dwyane Wade. I’ve heard Rajon Rondo with his jumpshot. I’ve heard Kevin Durant. And then a few coaches at the college level told me that I remind them of Michael Jordan when he was in high school.

Definitely has a winning mentality and strives to be the best...
What helps you stay motivated?
I just feel like my motivation is to be the best I can be, to try and be the best to ever play the game. That’s what I’m striving to do. I know it’s a hard task, but I like going for the biggest challenge in life because at the end of the day it’s going to make me a better person. And I know that I will have given it my all instead of thinking ‘what if?’ So, as long as I don’t have to deal with what if, I feel like a complete person.

I see the potential too. He could be the borderline second round steal of this entire draft in a couple of years looking back. Love the kids attitude.

Archie Goodwin piece:

http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2013/ ... soe-dragic

While there's no doubt that 19 year old Archie Goodwin is currently one of the brightest beacon's of hope for the future of the Phoenix Suns franchise, it's also possible that he could be the primary source of frustration and disappointment for many fans next season who are too eager to see immediate results.

Goodwin gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited about his arrival during Summer League, where he was consistently aggressive and at times appeared almost unstoppable.

In addition to demonstrating a knack for attacking the basket and drawing fouls, which he was known for in college, he also showcased what appeared to be an improved and much more reliable jump shot from beyond the arc, shooting an impressive 57%, which was an area of his game he struggled with as a freshman at Kentucky.

His play for the Suns in the Summer League was a breath of fresh air for a fanbase who has been searching for a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

But is Goodwin really ready for prime time?
