I think he has gotten a bum rap. Everyone expects the world of him because of him being drafted #1, but he was taken too high and should have fell to the 5-10 range. I dont see a poor mans Gerald Green, as he doesnt really have the 3 point shot, but i still do see the poor mans Wade that he was given prior to the draft. Maybe even a rich mans Goodwin. He barrels into the paint and likes to take it to the rim. He is also a above-average defender, and i think he just needs minutes to develop a bit more to really prove to people that he can play.

Im just looking around the league at undervalued youngsters that havent reached or shown their full potential yet, and Waiters fits that category for me. I think he has something to prove and really wants to.

Thunder fans look to be ready to give him away for anything, he could be had for cheap

Why trade for Chandler if they are not high on him? I've heard they put Noah and Taj on table for a "premier wing" but nothing about Gasol.

Meant Noah, not Chandler. And they are openly accepting offers for Gasol according to the SI report below

From what i have heard all the rumors say, Gasol wants to test the FA market and all signs point to him heading to Memphis to play his remaining years with his brother. Chicago doesnt want to be left holding the bag and get nothing in return for him leaving.

Now if they were to be able to keep Gasol, i could see a Chandler trade making sense. Slide Gasol back to his normal PF spot and run Chandler at starting C. Rose/Butler/McDermott/Gasol/Chandler. I think that could work, but it sounds like Gasol and Chicago have other plans.

I would trade Chandler for Noah or Gasol, but I don't think they want that contract.

FWIW, that's the fans. The team seems to actually value him. Also realistically they can't give him away, I just can't stand him.

I think he could be asking for too much money.

Plus he said something about wanting to play for the 76ers before season starts as well I believe. And Philly has ton of cap space plus with Colangelo there now, they may actually start spending money.

Blow it all up! Hire a REAL GM and Coach. Get a ton of great young talent, play them and then get FA to want to sign here to help win.

So one of us?

That's right

I'd hire you or Cutter in a heart beat.

You know how to get a job as a GM......have a friend or relative doing the hiring. It isn't like you have to go to school or play in the NBA to become one..........money and connections my friend.

I'm done with one hit wonder Mc'D and Mr. Nice Guy Hornacek.

Does the Jones-Brewer for Morris trade makes the most sense?

We have started to hear other teams want an asset back to take Kief off of our hands. For example, Kieff/Goodwin or Kief/draft pick. In the case of the Rockets, we are taking back a supposed bad contract in Brewer. Is this best offer we can get for Kief? Should we be willing to part with Goodwin or a second round pick?

Yeah, he denied the Philly rumors (supposedly some of his people said stuff), I'm hoping he just expires in the offseason, but I'd love Chandler or Tucker from you guys and Kerrsed seemed OK with them for McGary/Kanter which would be perfect tbh. The only way I'd take Kieff is maybe for Waiters with the rest of that deal, then I'd prob take him because I want the other 2 guys.

I would stay away from Brewer if possible, watched him playing yesterday and he's BAD.

I would be OK with this trade too. Kanter and McGary are young enough to be part of our core for the next few years, and we can trade Markieff to another team for an expiring and a late pick.

I know that Kanter is not a good defensive player, but he is great offensively and rebounding the ball.
McGary can be a decent backup big for a ton of years in the league, good hustle player on a cheap rookie contract.

Yeah, that was the thinking for it by Kerrsed too, and I agree. Also, I'd add that though Kanter is still poor defensively, he's really shown improvement and solid effort and I think Len would be a solid guy to have next to him. He also performs well w/ a solid perimeter defender so Bledsoe may help there.

Why? We already have two fully functioning seven footers on the team that struggle to get 10min a game. What makes you think that Kanter wont get the Suns Center treatment.

Our teams' mindset towards playing centers for rim protection and post defence is insulting to the game of basketball

You're trading one (or 2) of them. Chandler and Morris. You'd have Len/Kanter and Leur/McGary at the 5 and 4.

I've mentioned this before but I feel like the Suns could have a good system if we just had an inside presence on offense. Brook Lopez is probably a top 5 post player in the league, and he can also hit the mid-range jumper pretty consistently as well. I've watched several Nets games last year and Brook is actually a decent PnR player and that is something the Suns are severely lacking. I really like the idea of running 4 wide 1 inside, and if we can just get that post player we might be able to make a push for the playoffs this year at the very least.

I can't see why the Nets would do this realistically except maybe thinking Goodwin turns into gold and or brothers Bogdanovic turn into European Splash bros. The picks are nice since they don't have any, and Jennings might surprise people too.

What's your guys take on Brook Lopez? Too slow for our system? If he was attainable would you guys want him for that asking price (and salary)?
