That would probably be the deal breaker.Warren gives them an instaoffense microwave 6th man off the bench. They need another capable SF to play along with Bron when he slides over to the small ball 4

I can't see a team like the Cavs viewing Warren quite that favorably. He would be lost in a series against the Warriors or Spurs (or probably any playoff series to be honest) at this point.

I think they'd prefer guys with a little more nba experience and part of the problem they would be improving by dealing Love would be improving their defense.

A team like Cleveland should value Tucker over Warren. They don't have enough basketballs to get Love shots, so how would Warren get shots in that offense? They'd rather have the defender. I think some combo of our vets could get Love, but why would we really need Love? Don't get me wrong, if we could get him for some combo of Knight, Tucker, Chandler, Markieff you do it because it's a no brainer, but he has more value elsewhere and what I would rather have is more draft picks, so a 3 way makes the most sense imo.

He's 27, at a huge salary, has question marks on whether he's a #1 guy, and plays horrid defense. It would take a fundamental restructuring of our offensive scheme to make him successful to begin with, and then we'd have to adjust future personnel as we are already overloaded offensively at the 1-3 spots. It's great to have offensive threats across the board, but you have to have some defenders, and it's clear Love will never become that, and our only guy who has shown he will be a solid defender of our youngsters is Len (that's not unusual for young players, as defense is rarely there at 22, but you still can't count on them being plus defenders at this point).

With Love, we'd likely be a playoff team, but you have to believe he can be good into his early to mid 30s in order for him to be a part of a real contender given the ages of our young guys.

How about this?

I'd want to get a third team involved - Toronto? Washington? - to take the power forward off our hands. I'm primarily interested in the small forward we get back in the deal.

No. Not Warren. We have to hang on to our young core. Too many questions about Love at the moment.

This. We don't have to trade Len, Booker and Warren.

Hornets / Suns

Morris, Knight
for
MKG, Zeller

Why for Hornets?
they get a Knight as their 6th man SG next to Lin.
They move Batum (who I wanted for Suns, but Hornets will keep) to SF full time.
Giving them, Walker, Knight, Batum lineup which fits well, since Batum works as a play maker.

Suns get MKG as their defensive SF... cant shoot though... but super athletic, versatile and long.

We could trade: Knight, Kieff, Tucker, and Chandler to Cleveland
for: Love, Varajeo, and Mozgov.

In terms of talent, Cleveland gets a massive defensive upgrade at the 3-5 spots and offensive downgrade, but since Lebron and Irving and JR take 90% of their shots, it probably makes them a better team. They also have Knight who can be damn good if used correctly and his discipline is improved. We get Love and about $6 mill in cap space, plus another $5 when Mozgov expires. We'd have to eat Varajeo's awful deal for 1 more year, but it's unguaranteed for 2017.

Phoenix could then use cap space to go after Barnes, Fournier, or Whiteside. Not likely we get any, but we'd potentially have the space to do it.

We could also throw in Tele if needed, netting us Cunningham (at least he's young and has talent), and Kaun if more was needed.

PG--Bledsoe/Archie
SG--Booker/Bogdan/Archie
SF--Warren/Bogdan
PF--Love/Len/Leuer
C--Whiteside/Len

We'd also have our first rounder to add a PF in all likelihood, or Dunn. I'm not a huge Love fan for this team, but if we could get Whiteside somehow instead of Chandler, it would change things since our age grouping would look a hell of a lot better with 26 year old Whiteside instead of 35 year old Chandler.

I like Barton. I kind of hate everyone else involved though. Jameer and Faried do nothing for me. I'm all for it if we can dump Jameer in the process of dumping Faried.

That is a lowball offer from Phoenix. You can't keep a entire core and get love just not realistic. It would take 2/3 of Booker/Warren or Len along with multiple picks and markieff etc.

No way I would trade any of our (future) big three for Love. And would Cavs want to take young guys anyway? They are desperate to win now.

You know what we should do? We should let Tyson Chandler continue to average the 23.5 rebounds per game he's averaged over his last two games. I think we should suspend all trade talk until Tyson comes back to Earth.

If he's back to being Tyson, everything changes. There's no denying that.

Hope he could do that. I would still trade him but we can get something valuable for him instead of dumping him for nothing.

What do you think Cleveland is trying to do this year? Because if you think Cleveland is wanting 19 year olds and 22 year olds who are less proven over vets, then I think you're incredibly wrong. GM Lebron wants to win while Lebron has a chance at a title. Len is the only guy who has proven he would be ready to play in a playoff series, and he's not been the defensive anchor to title teams like Chandler has. If Cleveland was in any way trying to build for the future, they don't make the Mosgov trade, and they don't give out their ridiculous contracts to role players all of last year. They are going for it NOW above all else, and they nearly traded him last year, when his stock was higher, for IT and Markieff alone. The principle of "a core guy must be moved" only applies to teams who are trying to build a core. Cleveland is not trying to build a core. They are trying to tinker with a lineup to win while Lebron still has something, because their window dies with him.

He's 33 on a team of 22 year olds with no shot at the playoffs. Why keep him even if he is going to be rebounding like crazy? We're nowhere near contention even with him doing that.

1) it makes him more valuable in a trade offer. he's not dead weight if he's back to being Tyson. now we don't have to deal him unless it's for fair value.
2) we need defense. doesn't matter how old he is, a 34 year old Tyson may still be the best defender on next year's team.
3) he's a piece for contention. We've already seen that Aldridge wanted to play with him. Once we get "that guy," it takes the burden off of him to know that he doesn't have to worry as much about rebounding and scoring. Tyson can take that pressure off.
4) whatever you're thinking, think about it for next year. If we suck with or without Tyson, then why deal him? We could be next good year. If Tyson's back to being Tyson, next year's team wouldn't be able to replace that. We should keep him/

Our subpar defense could possibly drastically be saved with the block shot ability of Whiteside as well. I'm not sure why Miami is better when he is off the court, and I haven't checked Bosh's long range shooting this year, but it might be because he is better at the C spot than as kind of a stretch 4, and that Whiteside/Love would be a far better pairing. I don't think anyone would outrebound that team, especially with Len backing up the 4/5.

I'd love that team, and that doesn't even account for our draft pick, which will likely end up worse if such a deal goes down, but I don't think Love would make a huge deal without Bledsoe and still playing the youngs so we are still probably bottom 5 anyway.

I think we should cool down on any Love trade, at least for a week or two. I believe the Cavs timed the shift from Blatt to Lue so that they still have a couple of weeks to evaluate Love under a new coach, and they can trade Love before the deadline if need be. Griff even came out publicly saying they are not even fielding calls for him, so yeah its unlikely.

If your team isn't going to win regardless and you have no shot at the playoffs, why do you need a 33 year old's defense or a piece for contention? That's the point. He makes sense for a contender, but not for a noncontender. I don't see any way we can contend next year. Bledsoe coming back will help. Even if we get Love though, that team isn't a legitimate contender in my mind at all. Tyson had unique value to Aldridge, and may to Love, but we can't sign him. If we got him, he'd have to play for us regardless because he's under contract. There isn't a PF like that in next year's FA class that keeping Tyson would really be worth.

What would make the most sense is moving Tyson and getting young guys with that cap space. We can get something for him now. I don't think we'd need to give him away. If you're suggesting offseason, okay, but we really shouldn't be playing a 34 year old Tyson next year. Not on this team.

I think it really makes Cleveland much tougher and deeper. You add Markieff, Chandler, and Tucker to a team like Cleveland, and subtract Love, who really doesn't get high usage, even though the talent could be lopsided, it just balance their roster well. And no one would push them around ever.

Again, I don't think Cleveland is going to care about draft picks....it is ALL about winning NOW THIS YEAR and they clearly are a notch below the top couple of teams. LeBron is a free agent too I think or has a player option. If some of the players want Kieff and are/were already speculating Love may be traded, it might not be out of the question.

Also, think about it, Tyson was a HUGE difference maker when Miami lost to Dallas in the finals. Also, Markieff dominated Love in a game last year. They would love a guy like Tucker. Knight gives them a guy to backup Kyrie who is injury prone and honestly would be perfect as a spot up 3 pt shooter to play with LeBron who could handle the ball on occasion if Kyrie is injured and LeBron sits or both sit.

I'd love that team, and that doesn't even account for our draft pick, which will likely end up worse if such a deal goes down, but I don't think Love would make a huge deal without Bledsoe and still playing the youngs so we are still probably bottom 5 anyway.

These deals to the Cavs make too much sense for them to ever happen. Kieff and Knight for Love makes sense. Adding in Tucker and Chandler for Mozgov and Varejao makes a lot of sense.

Just don't see any of them happening but they make sense for the Cavs especially. Maybe not Chandler but Kieff, Knight and Tucker for Love and say Vareajao sure does
