It would have been a tough choice for me between Hayes/Wiseman/Okongwu. While i think Okongwu will have the better overall career, i think its going to take him a while to develop in Atlanta, specially when they already have Collins and Capella. Wiseman is looking to get some solid minutes in GS, but i think it might be a detriment to him being on a high pressure title contender right away. Hayes will get all the minutes he can handle and be able to develop at his own pace. He's under no pressure to make the playoffs and is playing under a great coach, so that a huge plus for him. Add in that he is a guard (And a PG at that) and they usually seem to produce a hell of a lot quicker than bigs, and i think that Hayes might have been the right pick of the 3.

I really think i made a mistake keeping Ross. That cost me my 1st round pick and a chance at getting a young gun. Also swapped my 2nd round pick with BW as part of the Horford trade, so its KILLING me that my 1st pick isnt until #41.

This league is different from others as you manage the same core of drafted players year after year, so we only have openings when someone quits, and you could then inherit their team.

I can reach out to you once we have an opening, but we've been stable now over the last 2 seasons.

Sorry about that.

You should definitely sign up for the G League though, they are looking for new players

Thank you

Yeah, I didn't consider Okongwu at all. It will take him a while to put up solid #s unless they get rid of people. You're probably waiting a couple years to get a guy you want to play every game unless they trade Capela.

All very valid points.

Klay's injury makes Golden State's situation very different. I think Wiseman would have had an easier time if Klay were healthy, but there would be more pressure given the expectations being a WCF battle with the Lakers. I think now, the bar is lower, but Wiseman might have a larger workload ahead of him. The good thing is I think he's hungry to play competitive basketball. Okongwu is going to be very good too, but like you said it might be a year or two before he gets opportunities. Hayes was also on my radar had both Okongwu and Wiseman been gone.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Wiseman was my #2 option. I figured I could drop to 3 and pick up Toppin, but I didn't have a true #3 choice I liked, so figured better to not risk it, and I still have 2 more picks in the top 25. I have turned into the Knicks, way too many SF/PFs...

With the 5th pick, Kyler Murray selects Anthony Edwards.

Of course the #1 pick has to take the #1 pick.

By the way, the first post has been updated with the draft order, a few notes (more need to be added), and the picks so far (maybe teams need to be added next to them), for anyone who wants to check this.

It took me a while to find the draft order, who didn't have picks, and I only put one trade in there...but we need to keep who is up straight.

So

I'm just going to take the guy that was going to be my 8th keeper anyway since the only other person I was looking at here is now off the board.... Derrick White.

Yahoo´s player list is updated. All names you see there are available

I made my pick but then deleted it quickly because yahoo said Jayson Tatum was available, but I checked, and he should be a keeper on DesertFox (I think the team Rated PG)

Actually looking at it more, it is showing all of Desert Fox's keepers as available.

If you look for specific players on Yahoo with the search function, they will show up. That doesn´t mean they are available.
If I'm not mistaken you were lead to the same mistake last season.

All keepers have been assigned and do not show up on the Yahoo ranking when sorted by "All Available Players" (as is the standard).

I´ve also input the current draft selections and made the draft pick # correction on the spreadsheet.

Thanks for your help, everyone.

It's not my fault that some of y'all decided to go for win now players when we started. My strategy back then was to win in the future, which is now. And now I'm going to be punished because I drafted smartly? Nah. You made your bed. Plus, with 7 or 8 guys kept on a franchise there is still plenty of opportunity to grab hidden gems or add significant talent to your team.

You're up I think.

I wasn't looking for specific players, just all players and their status and it says FA next to his. https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/1867/players?&sort=AR&sdir=1&status=ALL&pos=P&stat1=S_AS_2019&jsenabled=1

Though I guess if you look at only "available players" they are not there even though they are listed as FA (and all others owned have teams by them)....I was just looking at this few for trade purposes and noticed Tatum, George, etc, had FA next to name and not his team name.

Does that link show his team name next to Tatum for you?

Have to switch to available players (instead of free agents) and then toss out those who have already been picked.

Sure, we realize that, but it's weird that if you look at "All Players" it has a team name next to all the top players (keepers) except for Desert Fox's.
