Man, if Simmons was getting around $25 mil, I would gladly trade for him and start him at pf if we didn't have Johnson(and I am not trading Johnson for him). 6'11" 240 and rebounds better than our starting pf. Sac should trade for him.

Thats most likely a Morey bluff for whatever reason. As you said, there is pretty much no team that could make a trade for the both of them and make it a trade that would make any kind of sense for both teams.
You are right about Sacramento tho, I'm not sure why Philly didn't jump on a "Haliburton/Hield and whatever" type package, or something like that with Sac, there are a bunch of options there becouse they have 2 bigger tradeable contracts (Hield and Barnes) and a bunch of good young guys. Morey is overplaying his hand as usual, and is wasting a prime Embiid year. That's nuts and I'm pissed if I'm Embiid.

Edit: Sac is a team who could make a kinda reasonable trade with Philly for Simmons and Harris :D Hield, Barnes, Bagley, Thompson works in the trade machine, and is not completely trash from either teams perspective. Although I think Philly would have to add some draft compensation in this case...
Philly gets rid of the 2 guys they want to get rid of. They get stronger on the wings and 3 point shooting which is their goal. Bagley is young enough too. Thompson is a throw in to make salaries match. Sac is set in the backcourt with Fox, Haliburton and Mitchell, they get an upgrade on the wing with Simmons and a replacement for Barnes as well. They do not want Hield or Bagley anyways and Barnes is unlikely to resign there imho. Not perfect, but not much else makes sense out there...
(Also, Philly might have too many players for this, but it might only be the covid replacement guys, so I'm not sure here)

If Sac trades they should trade Fox. Haliburton works a lot better than Fox with Simmons.

The best two guys to go out in a Simmons/Harris trade would be Fox/Barnes and Bagley if Philly would take him.

Then you have Simmons/Haliburtion/Hield (Simmons guards SF)/Harris/Holmes

Philly has Fox/Curry/Green/Barnes/Embiid but also have Maxey, Thybulle, Bagley.

Hield makes a lot of sense but they do have 3 good shooters at 2-4 in that lineup.

^^ Yeah, that works too, I was trying to get the Sixers more wing stuff, they are set at PG with Maxey, and Green is turning trashy.

And a ton of young guys.... they should make a play for someone like Beal. Get a 2nd star with Ja and try and make the finals.

I'm not sure we or the Dubs could beat a Beal/Ja/JJJ team.

Adding a third team works too. They could trade Simmons to one team and Harris to another.

Doubtful. These guys get heated in close games...especially with the Thunder.

They played together last year too. Unless they had previous issues but I've never heard of any.

Even if they were we don't have asset to trade for one of them.

Grizzlies are tough and deep. JJJ is improving fast this year and Brandon Clarke is looking great lately as well.

Bane was a phenomenal pick where they got him (with our original pick). I wish we had just taken him at 10. Maybe even over Haliburton at this point. Though I guess Haliburton is more suited as a PGoTF. Bane is a great off guard who can handle too and is solid across the board and defensively.

Feel like most on this forum wanted Bane in that draft but then when Haliburton slipped to us, everyone wanted him.

Well we do have two salary matching options in Saric and Shamet.
Harrell is a 9.7 million expiring. They probably wouldn't have any interest in Saric without incentive attached. And I probably wouldn't be inclined to do that for Harrell anyways. They probably would have interest in Shamet though, as they really don't have anyone of significance behind Beal at the SG spot. They'd also likely have a modicum of interest in Smith too with him being a Maryland prospect. And with Harrell coming off the books as well as Hachimura being a big mystery with his mental health issues, They might be thin in the front court soon?

If we end up moving Smith around the deadline or in a trade of any kind, or even if we chose to waive Kaminsky. Huff would be a great two way signing. He's 7'1 240 lbs with a 7'5 wingspan and is every bit as mobile as Kaminsky too. He's got a high IQ and is a very good shot blocker and 3 pt shooter coming out of college. Think of a more athletic, longer, better floor spacing version of Kaminsky. But with good shot blocking. under the right circumstances, He'd be a great two way consideration.

Lakers dont know what they're doing... they waived Sekou Doumbouya recently... then now signing him to a two-way contract.

Shamet and a second rounder for Caldwell-Pope?

Caldwell-Pope is a very good defender... who will thrive with Suns system. If Wizards want more, maybe 2 second rounders added with Shamet I would be OK with or Pick swap for the (top 10 protected) for the next 7 years.

How bad would this suck for us if it were to happen! Anyone still don't think we should consider further upgrading our roster if possible? :-?

I'll turn my attention to the Nuggets IF they get both guys back at full health and show they can stay healthy. Until then they are an MVP trying to keep a .500 team afloat.

Yep. MPJ will (sadly for the game) never make it back and stay healthy for 2 seasons in a row. Maybe not for a whole season either. Sucks for him, and the Nuggets cap space - which I care less about than the player.
(In case you were wondering: the same goes for Zion. Whoever gives him his second contract will likely regret it, unless its a really bargain deal with non guaranteed money in the back years.)

What a show from the Bucks...they destroyed the Warriors in the first half. ANNIHILATION.
