Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Paul George (YGTrece) interviewed Klay about his **** talking and Klay said he regrets doing the four rings thing to Booker and that Booker was kicking his ass that night and was just in his feelings. PG hates Book so we all assume that he wanted a different answer than Klay giving Book props, so Book is just jabbing him here

Of course I’m biased being a Suns fan, but it’s pretty obvious why Paul George asked that question to Klay when also mentioning the Klay/Booker incident after he asked that question. He thought Klay was going to crap on Booker, which is what he wanted, but instead, Klay gave him the complete opposite answer of what he wanted to hear. What a loser.

For real. That didn't clarify anything for me. I'm just confused without the back story.

That's why Book is different.

He doesn't really want to be friends with the opposition like every other American NBA player of his generation, he wants to compete, he's old school like that. Landale mentioned this in a interview.

Can't teach that. I hope we get the right pieces around Book for years to come because he's got the mentality to be a killer and lead us to multiple titles. Mentality matters when everybody is playing at NBA finals level. Unfortunately KD isn't built like that, so really this is Books team even though KD may be the best player.

Got him on a 2 way. Never seen this guy play but he's young and a big body, guess he'll be the Biyombo replacement 3rd defensive big.

For real. That didn't clarify anything for me. I'm just confused without the back story.

In a game against the Warriors, Book and Klay were getting after it and at some point during their back and forth trash talk, Klay continuously pointed out that he had 4 rings as a flex. It's another molehill made into a mountain at the time and IIRC, Book had a pretty professional and generous comment on that basically saying Klay is an all time great etc and just praising him.

On the latest PG podcast where Klay was a guest, PG asked him about Klay's 4 rings trash talk in that game and Klay was man enough to say he wasn't proud of it and admitted to getting frustrated because he was getting cooked. Basically, a good, mature response which Book acknowledged. Book then commented and asked PG whether that was what PG was expecting Klay to say, implying that PG was trying to rock the boat to get something spicey from Klay. I'm not sure what the backstory with PG and Book is and whether there was already beef there but yeah it seems like there's something there now.

I do remember when Book hit the buzzer beater game winner in the bubble, that PG said "I don't care what anyone says, that wasn't a good shot." He may have been right, but it went in. I don't know if that is where it started, but then of course we play them twice in the playoffs since then and beat them. Seems like our games against them, they get a little chippy.

Actually in an article I just found, it says this:

George and Booker have an on-court beef that goes back to the 2021 regular season when Booker called George "soft" during a scuffle. While there have not been many fireworks between the two players since then, it seems Booker still feels a certain type of way about George.

https://www.si.com/nba/clippers/news/paul-george-fires-back-at-devin-booker-for-calling-him-out

Actually it goes into it further here:

Booker and George had an even more heated exchange in a Jan. 3, 2021 game after George took issue with Cameron Payne landing on him after blocking his shot.

Booker reacted. Called George soft.

George reacted. Told Booker to watch this mouth.

They were literally shouting at each other on opposite ends of the court. The Clippers won the game, 112-107, as George scored 39 points.

He’s everything you want from a franchise guy. Booker is not friendly with anyone. The only guy I have ever seen him really close with outside his own team is Kevin Durant. Not surprised he’s playing for the Suns now. I just love how he handles himself. More players should take note.

You do know he went on a double date with Ben Simmons, and hangs out with other players all the time.

But I need to believe that Booker is the specialest boy in the NBA.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Book seems to do very little "media". Even his socials is relatively sparse.

He's Kobe's disciple and a true professional, focus is on the game not the other peripheral stuff.

Don't have to worry about Book not being in shape or competing his hardest. I'll always be a fan.
