He's just destroying Kawhi's reputation lol

Everyone loved him.

Durant and Kawhi teach you not to believe in something like a humble, likeable superstar.

Not exactly. Just be careful of the shy, socially awkward, brooding types. You know: Joe Johnson, Antonio McDyess, Eric Bledsoe, Kahwi Leonard. All have the same personality. Easily manipulated by others.

Me too but the problem is we don't know what he'll ask for. And do we want a 6'0 (max) score first PG locked in for the next 4 seasons? :-? It's not gonna be good defensively for us

Spurs would ask for Harris is any Kawhi deal I think.

First trade

Spurs / Clippers

Leonard for Harris, Pick 12, future pick

Second trade

Spurs / Suns

Harris for Warren, Pick 16, 31 and future lottery

Spurs have;

Pick 12, Pick 16, Pick 31 for 2018 and Future pick in 2019

Warren to replace Gay and 3 2018 picks to move up to top 7 or draft their next wave of players

Suns run
C: Ayton
F: Harris
F: Jackson
G: Booker
G: Free agent

Crazy that he’s one of the biggest celebrities in Arizona.

He lives in San Diego if I recall correctly. Funny too though, he only got big because his brother played Call of Duty professionally for Faze Clan, a top e-sport organization. Rug (his brother) promoted Brandon on his Youtube channel, and eventually he got his own following that now amasses over 2mil subs on Youtube. He's a huge die-hard Suns fan, but doesn't really know the nuances of how everything works in the NBA such as trades, salary cap, etc. He posts occasionally in a Suns fans FB group, but I generally avoid discussions in there as most of them aren't very knowledgeable to say the least. I find RealGM to be the most intellectual group of posters across the web when it comes to everything regarding the NBA.

He's good friends with Booker apparently and both have hung out together and Booker has had him over at Booker's place and all that. Certainly not the average fan.

Yeah because all the young Suns players enjoy Youtube so they have watched him, lol. He is definitely very fortunate to be in the position he is in to be able to make friends in the NBA. Booker gave him one of his college Kentucky jerseys. Lucky bastard.

Yeah, but I'm still puzzled by how a guy who barely show emotions on the court managed to become this prick.
Well done, Uncle Davis.

might be workable as for the SPurs to get good value for Kawhi - they might need the Suns "draft picks" to add to their overall return for Kawhi.

As for the Kemba thing - I too am concerned how much he will cost. I also wonder how much Smart will cost. Bradley too. Hence, I know what Dragic costs for two years - use the 16 on him, the 31 on Carter or Brunson and roll with it.

Charlotte trying to gain some cap space this year while losing a lot next year. Makes me think they will make a run at SOMEONE in free agency, and probably won't deal Kemba now.
OR, they are just trying to get under the cap. I dunno. You have enough bad contracts and Howards was expiring. Now you add another crappy contract.

On the flip side, Nets will have a ton of space (but who would they even be able to use it on?

helluva trade by the Nets - they get rid of Mozgoz a year early - with Carroll and Howard expiring - will have plenty of cap space in 2019

now this goes my theory about the Hornets wanting cap space next summer because if they did - they keep Howard and let him expire. Now the Hornets have:
Williams MKG and Mozgov through 2020
Zeller through 2021
Batum through 2022

they are capped out - Mitch Upchuck keeping the Hornets in cap hell

I think it will be Goran for Dudley and Williams and 16 on Thursday - calling my shot. If Riley wants real talent and not Williams - maybe its Bender or Chriss but that changes the pick from 16 to 31.

Mitch must really like Mozgov lmao.

I wonder if this could be a sign that the Hornet are moving toward a rebuild? He was their 2nd leading scorer with the second most total minutes played.

Zach Lowe said this move gets them under the luxury tax - but another year of Mozgov - not sure what Mitch is thinking. Why not just see if somebody takes Lamb for nothing and save the 7m on Lamb and let Howard walk

I'm sure they exhausted all possibilities. Jordan probably gave him one key objective to start with and this was the best deal they could find to get under the cap.

Hence, why I thought the Suns would be a target for the Hornets as with Howard/Lamb expiring next year - Suns could take on a Williams with Kemba plus send picks and expirings /non guarantees and save a bit of money this summer but really next summer for cap space. To me, this sounds like a short term cash savings move that doesn't help your basketball team long term. Meaning, suck it up and pay the luxury tax because you have to pay Mozgov anyway next year - Over a three year period - are YOU really saving money Charlotte- really?!!?

Anyway, the 16 is now going to either Miami or Memphis - calling it if Doncic makes it to 4 - he will go to the Suns; if not Dragic goes to the Suns.

If they were planning to keep Kemba, wouldn't it be cool to not have a yet another $17M dead weight contract on the roster in 2019-20, when Kemba will be getting a $20M pay rise?
