We really need to make a play to get a higher pick, so we can then send it to Atlanta. They get Trae, we get Doncic.

Because they all want in on the bigs of this draft. So unfortunate that the big man game is obsolete in today's NBA. Wait. What?

We don't really have anything for them. I don't think most teams in the league care about a guy like Warren. He's productive but not being able to shoot the 3, defend at an neutral level or able to create his own shot doesn't make him much of a hot commodity in spite of his efficient scoring and rebounding abilities. #16 might be ok but it's still outside of lottery and future picks are too much of an unknown especially with the new rules around the odds

Either Doncic isn't available at #4 because he went 3 and they are targeting others/Bigs, or Doncic is going #4. Either way Doncic supporters for #1 have to feel pretty embarrassed.

Im not trying to be an ass. Seriously. But a lot of the Doncic for #1 peeps have to have some kind of revelation that he is falling to maybe 3 or 4. Especially if Sac passes on him for Bagley. It has to say something that he is falling passed someone like Divac.

so if he gets picked by ATL at 3, you're saying people who wanted us to draft him at #1 should feel bad just because a terrible org like Sac passed on him? good one.

Come on Star. If he goes three or four after all these people say he is a clear cut #1 then that has to say something whether you think Sac is a dumpster fire or not.

If any team can move up with assets though, I think it's them. Maybe even to Atlanta. They have 4 firsts next year and can offer up Jaylen, Rozier, etc if they want it enough.

The only problem with them, which is a bigger problem for us, is, they don't have a good pick to give him this year unless someone puts a high value on 16, but then again, it would require a future pick or two from us I think....but we don't have a really good enticing player to throw in there...maybe if we considered Jackson but probably not.

I really want Trae Young, so my hope is nobody trades with Atlanta, that Doncic lasts until at least 4, and that we can come up for Cleveland's spot. That seems to be the most feasible way of landing Young at that point. Would just take Orlando passing.

You mean, the thing that happens pretty much every year?

I don't think they'll be an major movement for the Suns this offseason, and I don't really think there should be. We were the worst team in the league last year. There isn't a realistic combination of moves that is going to make this team competitive next year.

Sometimes the best move is not to play. Take high upside guys with our picks, try and bring back Len and Payton on bargain deals, and wait until next offseason. We'll have another high draft pick, the Bucks pick, and the unprotected Heat pick to play with. Tyson and Jared will be off the books and Knight will be an expiring.

We still don't really know what we have in Jackson and (likely) Ayton. Pulling the trigger now and building around those guys could be a mistake. I also wouldn't be surprised to see TJ take it to another level this year. The dude is a baller and it just seems like he's on the cusp of something big.

This fanbase and this front office really need to take a long term view of this rebuild. If we mess it up we're going to be stuck in the basement forever.

Yeah, let's just keep waiting. One more year, I promise.

Any minute now.

It'll happen. Really. We mean it. Honest.

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.
