So who has J O'Neal's number? Waive Randolph, give O'Neal the start with ten plus minutes, or bring him off the bench behind Len. Either way, I think Jermaine is better than both our current centers, even for old he is.

With Cavs winning number 1 pick from 8-9th worst record....
It won't surprise me if Lakers get top 3 pick from 6-9th worst record spot.... Not at all. Then either use the pick to rebuild or retool quickly.
Lakers / Clippers dominated division will generate tons of money and hype.. Especially with the new broadcasting rights.. NBA has been converted Almost 99% capitalism driven.. Yes Spurs are champions... Highest amount of recognisable international players list. Patty Mills championship got a lot of coverage here in australia, can only imagine Parker/Diaw in France, Ginobili in Argentina etc.
But tin foil hat off... Suns really really really could use that pick, I'm cheering for them to get 35 wins...so Go Lakers!!

I hope the Lakers lose all their games and establish a losing culture that destroys their franchise forever.
But Magic Johnson is pathetic for saying that. He's the most famous player for one of the most successful and prominent franchises in sports history and he's openly calling for his team to lose. That's despicable.

That would really surprise me. At best there is a 1/1000 chance of that happening.

It's scary, but it wouldn't surprise me. First, we are involved, second the Lakers are one of the league's darling teams, which if they are doing revenue sharing, brings all the teams money because of the large fan base. I could actually seeing them pick number one from say the sixth or seventh in some crazy way.

The league favors the Lakers and other media-centric teams through other means (e.g. biased officiating and laxer rules regarding suspension), but I do not think the draft is one of them. The lottery process is verified by lawyers from all 30 teams, in order for the draft to be 'rigged' would involve a massive conspiracy from the NBA as a whole.

Hey guys, any of you following your d-league affilate? How's Zoran Dragic playing?

Don't think Zoran has been assigned to our d-league affiliate yet. With the Suns he's played in only 1 game.

Re: Around The NBA: 2014/2015
Storms brewing all over.
-The Knicks are a mess and Carmelo may be a big part of the problem.
-The Lakers suck and Kobe is getting frustrated
-The Nets realize they need to rebuild.
-The Pistons have been disappointing and may blow it up and start over.
-Charlotte has flopped badly.
-The T-Wolves realize they need to commit to tanking.
I've learned with stock and real estate investing that I LOVE to hear horror stories and I HATE to hear success stories. I love hearing about bad markets or companies in trouble because it means it might be time to get some good deals. I hope Ryan McD is working those phones.

Oh. I thought I read somewhere they reassigned him. My bad.
Thanks anyway.

I'm still undecided. I was able to predict the first Cleveland pick, the NOP 1st, months before the draft, and I really don't think I'm that lucky. Either way, we've just never been that "lucky" when it comes to getting draft picks.

I don't think the lottery is rigged. Like Mooch, I think they favor teams in other ways. Everyone laughs when we say the Spurs get insane favoritism because "Why would the league want San Antonio, such a small market so successful?!"
It's not about that.

Babby on the radio:
Interesting comments on there...
Playing at home is supposed to be an advantage, though it's one the Phoenix Suns have not really enjoyed this season.
The Suns are just 6-5 at the US Airways Center, which isn't terrible, but also is not much better than the 6-6 record they've posted on the road.
Kind of strange, right?
"I think we have a certain binding and camaraderie on the road, I think it's more that," Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby told Bickley and Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Thursday. "I think our team, you know, stays more focused when we're in a hostile environment."
But even if a hostile environment helps galvanize a team, giving it an "us against the world" type of mentality, playing at home is also supposed to supply an atmosphere that is conducive to winning. But the Suns, who rank 23rd in the NBA in home attendance, do not really have that, either.
"Quite candidly, the games here, I think we're putting on a great product but there are a lot of games here that are not as well attended as I would like, and the fans are not boisterous enough in my mind," Babby added. "I mean, you go to other places and they can raise the level of their team's performance.
"That's our problem; it's not the fans' problem, but I think it's a reality that we haven't generated the kind of -- I remember last year, the Oklahoma City game, the fans won that game for us, it was just electric in the arena -- so we have to recapture that. And if that's an issue with the organization or how we're playing, or whatever it is, we need that support. I know everybody is preoccupied with the Cardinals, and they're having a great season, but we've got to get that fan support back to raise our level of play when our guys are just not quite as sharp as they should be."
Babby noted that he believes it is a symbiotic relationship between fans and players, and thinks the kind of support he's seeking will come in time. It will come, he said, because the team will earn it in what is not exactly an intensely loyal sports market.
"We're all blessed to live here and look outside and the weather is great, so we've got to take the good and the bad," he said. "And we've got to earn that support. I do think we play a very exciting brand of basketball, and I know most every night we play our hearts out, and hopefully people will come and watch us and help push us through some of these games."

Well you know what that means...you have to predict the Suns into winning the 1st this year (if they don't make the playoffs that is)

I wonder how much Carmelo regrets his decision to stay instead of sign with the Bulls.
Rose
Butler
Carmelo
Gasol
Noah
Would be title favorites every year assuming they stay healthy.
The Knicks are an absolute mess.

Re: Around The NBA: 2014/2015
Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah both cited a lack of trust on the defensive end as a reason for their lack of defense.
Tom Thibodeau said:"That's garbage. That's garbage. Trust, it's work. It's work. That's how you build trust. You got to know what you're doing, you got to be tied together. You got to work at it. It's a cop out."
Taj Gibson responded (From Nick Friedell's twitter):
Gibson responds, understanding that Thibs is entitled to his own opinion:"That's what I see on the court. I've been here for a while I know what I'm talking about. Joakim knows what he's talking about, he was the Defensive Player of the Year"
"Of course he's going to know what he's talking about. We're on the court, though."
After Thibodeau kinda/sorta called out Rose twice, he went on a rant on Taj Gibson's opinion (and if you saw the video, it really did sound like a rant) that the Bulls had trust issues. His "that's garbage, trust, it's work. It's work" was really said with a real negative sound in his mouth IMO.

Westbrook is playing at an MVP level. He's been unstoppable since coming back.

There would be no Gasol or Mirotic, since they fit into that salary space
It'd be Gibson at PF, and maybe not even that given that Melo's first priority rhymes with funny.
