Not exactly, but whatever. I dont even know how this whole "Spurs dont give their rookies minutes" topic started.

As for Anderson was NEEDED to start 8 games, i dont buy it. They had Belinelli, who they could have started. They had Austin Daye as well. They also have Danny Green who plays some minutes at SF as well. They didnt have to start the rookie, but did, as the do have a history of using their rookies.

Kawaii? Yup. As a rookie he played in 64 games averaging 24 minutes.
Corey Joseph? Played 29 games as a rookie and averaged 9 minutes.
DeJuan Blair? Played in 82 games as a rookie and averaged 18 minutes per game.
George Hill? 77 games as a rookie and averaged 16.5 minutes.
Splitter (drafted in 2007, didnt come over till 2010). 60 games played. 12.5 minutes per game.

So thats the Spurs 1st round draft history and how many games/minutes the rookies played.

I was just going to say the same thing! Why would he compare our 2 1st round picks against the Spurs 2nd round pick (while ignoring their 1st)? Doesnt make sense.

It is funny that our rookies were drafted #14 & #18 and the Spurs drafted Anderson with the last pick of the 1st round.

Also speaking of Green:

At least the Spurs did give him 25 minutes, which is a lot more than we have given any of our 2nd round picks for the past 5 years.

Anderson was needed to start eight games, so it wasn't like they found minutes to give him because they know how to develop their youth, which is what was implied. Almost half of his minutes were from this eight games, where he averaged pretty crappy numbers 5/4 in 20 mins per.

He wasn't needed to start. They had Austin Daye to play over him. They chose to give him more minutes and a bigger role.

They waived Daye, so clearly they didn't think he was much of anything. So still needed.

They traded Hill just so they could draft Kawaii, so of course they thought highly of him. Archie played 52 games for us last year, so what?

Anyways back to trades... This continued lame theme of us not developing our youth is unfounded, and quite silly. The Spurs use the dleague quite well, as should any team with young inexperienced players. Spurs also sit many of their rotational guys often throughout the year, and have a very well established system.

You could argue spurs went to two finals.
And won one with small ball

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! TIM DUNCAN IS THE BEST BIG MAN TO EVER PLAY THE GAME. THAT IS OBVIOUSLY WHY THEY WON!!!!!!!!

Also, cue "Spurs are the bestest franchise to ever sport" and "Pop is the bestest coach to ever sport" comments really soon.

So you dont want anyone to rebut your post with the truth?

By eye test and via stats, the 2013-2014 Spurs are one of the best examples of "team work" basketball... X and Os.

During Parker/Duncan/Ginobili prime championships, Duncan was the most consistent 2-way big man in the game.

The Twin Towers Robinson and Duncan (Avery Johnson PG) era, they were the BEST PF and Center combo even though Robinson had back issues....

Today Duncan can still dropped 20 if he isolates down low.... In Out flow is what makes the Spurs tick.

I think some people took that the wrong way. I mean they spread the floor and played small ball... Not questioning the players or coach they have. All I said is they won playing small ball.

Downgrading in size to spread the floor.
Diaw/bonner at the 4 stretch the floor.
Miami played lebron at PF so even kawaii would go 4 at times. I mean they even did that to PHX last game and came back and won

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Meh. Still think we could trade em. It might just take adding the Lakers or our own pick.

You honestly think a deal including Kieff at $8 mill requires us to throw in our own or maybe a top 6 pick?!

I'm factoring in the loss of trade value they will suffer after this incident.

My idea anyways, I don't care what you think lol.

I think we keep Markieff at least because his trade value is down. He's a good player who is improving. Wait until it's further in his past and his value has gone back up before you move him.

Marcus I'm not a fan of, but I'm really not sure if he's tradable now. He might be to some team. Who knows.

I don't care about yours, either. Unfortunately, you keep getting quoted so I'm forced to see your nonsense.
