According to NBA Insider Marc Stein:

There were some fresh rumbles this week that it had explored packaging Trent and some level of draft compensation to San Antonio for Spurs center Jakob Poeltl. That's a move you would make to try to move up the Eastern Conference ladder — not down. The Raptors, for the record, don’t seem to mind the confusion they’re generating.

I think Ainge will win big again when nothing seems to be happening and others are panicking. They already won so much last summer that he doesn't have to back down on her demands at all. I'm guessing at least 3-4 first round picks. After that they practically drown in their picks and are able to build a contender team quickly with their assets.

I think it's too late to hold off on deals one day before the deadline for this and miss out on potential moves. There is a 95% chance even if they do move KD, they won't rush on a deal in one day barring an enormous offer.

I think the most likely team would be Toronto because they are likely tanking and can afford and injured KD for another month...and even just sit him out the rest of the season.

They could also offer FVV or Gary Trent Jr, OG and a couple picks for KD/Curry or something and come out with a still solid lineup of Curry, FVV or GTJr, Barnes, KD, Siakam for next year.

There's no KD trade that doesn't start with the words "Scottie Barnes" if I'm BRK. They have to get him as they'd be starting over and need someone to key in on.

That's ridiculous. The Nets can't hope for anything like that now that he will be a year older with ANOTHER injury to his other knee. He now had an MCL bruise on each knee and a torn achilles, is 35 and has played less than a full season in 3 years.

Completely disagree. Scottie isn't nearly as good as he was last year...and this board has obviously spoken of how good OG is/isn't. If Marks called Masai right now and offered that deal, Masai is driving over to Scottie's place, picking him up and taking him to the airport. Immediately.

Not a bad idea...but I wouldn't do it. McDermott is TERRIBLE on defense, not sure he could play in the playoffs.

Zach Collins is OK, but I don't know about his fit. Backup C over Landale/Biyombo?

If people have issues with KD’s injury history, they won’t be happy about Zach Collins I would stay far away.

The IT stuff concerns me, partly because I can understand how IT was a childhood hero of his so that clouds his judgement.

One of my best friends was an acquaintance of Mats at MSU. Said back then he was a nice guy and absolute fanatic about sports. It is good to have an owner with a real passion for the game.

I don’t worry much about the IT stuff. I think Chris Haynes tweet was accurate and Ishbia was probably going to hire him but maybe didn’t know about the issues in NY.

I can’t see Ishbia hiring him after everything that the Suns experienced with Sarver. Hearing the press conference today was very refreshing, only good things to come for this team.

So no big moves or surrendering of picks in trades like before in a "win now" scenario! Any potential trades must make sense beyond just this season and towards the future as well!
