7 foot Steve Nash?

I originally thought he would be a good plug in player for us and make an immediate impact. And for a player at 13 that's pretty good. However, I decided against that because I don't think his ceiling is too high. A role player at best IMO. I would rather go for a boom or bust player at 13 now.
I'd like WCS but I doubt he slips to 13, and even if he does I don't think he is a McD kinda guy. I'm really not sure who I like besides him though.

Just got a crazy trade idea! But it might actually have some substance to it overall.

Phoenix gets in on the 3 team trade with the lakers.....the lakers want demarcus cousins in the worst way, Sacramento kings want good veterans to help them into the playoffs. We of course want the highest pick possible.

So.......

Phoenix sends Sacramento tucker, marcus morris or markieff....wichever they prefer. And Miami's 2016 pick, and Cleveland's pick that we own as well.

Along with that, lakers send jointly to the kings, Jeremy lin, jordan clarkson, and julius randle.

In return for us facilitating this trade for the lakers, we get the #2 pick back from them, they contracts of carl landry and darren collison. Adding to the kings capspace for added incentive.

Now that we have the #2 pick, we can select De angelo russell as our shooting guard, have knight play our point, and use the #13 on turner, portis (meh...) or lyles...double meh...

Lakers get cousins, and can just go out and sign rondo. Or if they don't package bledsoe with clarkson, and randle, they can keep Bledsoe to play alongside cousins.

Sacramento is in a bad spot right now, really not having any choice left but to trade cousins.

But at least in this trade, they get randle, clarkson, most likely bledsoe, markieff or marcus, or both if they prefer, tucker, two decent draft picks from us, and to dump some contracts for more cap space to spend on free agency.

Just threw this together, as I am on break. But feel free to tweak it any wich way you guys feel can improve it k.

Thoughts?????

I'd do it but believe we'd have to give up more then one OR the other twin. Probably both with Tucker at the least.
The idea is sound though. Just need to tweak the other parts. Lakers aren't trading all 3 guys so the deal needs to be tweaked.

Also, I feel like, if we're at the 2...we HAVE to take Okafor. I know his D and FT shooting isn't good but he's too high a talent to pass up. It would be the Alex Len (over Noel) all over again.

No way we receive their #2 pick for that package. Do you think that Tucker or MoBros have that value around the league?
To get that #2 pick we would need to trade Bledsoe, #13, one Miami's pick at least and even some other assets.
Ahh...and Lin is a FA.

Sources: Sacramento making calls on possibility of moving back in the Top 10. If Kings stay at No. 6, Mario Heznoja is the strong target.

Another thing on this Kaminsky talk - is he not just a tiny bit/A LOT like Kelly Olynyk? Who is a handy player, sure, but is he a legit starting PF or C in the East, let alone the West? I just don't see it.

I'd rather go for a guy with bigger upside like Myles Turner or Cameron Payne.

Check out Olynyk in College:

And Kaminsky:

Damn similar stats and skillset - and KO played less than 27min a night for Gonzaga!

I see your point, but the big difference is the three point shot. Kaminsky is a deadly shooter, Olynyk is like Markieff in that regard...he can make some threes, but he is not a big threat behind the line.

If the Suns stick with their No. 13 pick in the NBA draft, they likely will make a choice among big men with varying shooting ability.
That group features Texas' Myles Turner, Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky and Arkansas' Bobby Portis. The draft's first hour of top-12 surprises could complicate the Suns' choice if a much-needed shooter like Kentucky guard Devin Booker falls or a high-ceiling player like Arizona small forward Stanley Johnson tumbles.

The Suns, who also pick at No. 44, follow three teams in the first-round draft order — Miami, Indiana and Utah — that could be interested in big men too. That puts power forwards like Louisville's hard-nosed Montrezl Harrell or Kentucky's versatile Trey Lyles in play for Phoenix too. If a big man slips farther than expected to No. 13, it would be Kentucky defensive star Willie Cauley-Stein for fear of a chronic ankle issue.

Draft talent is in the eye of the beholder, especially after the top seven of this year's bunch. One team's 10th-ranked player could be No. 20 on another team's board. In the Suns' view, Turner would be an ideal pick with upside at 19 years told. For college basketball fans, it might be hard to consider Turner in the same conversation as Kaminsky but he did not have the same opportunity or a full college career of seasoning.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nba/suns/2015/06/25/phoenix-suns-high-myles-turner-frank-kaminsky-draft-options/29253539/

After reading the report, I think our four targets are ....

Kaminsky, Turner, Stanley Johnson and Booker.
They think that Johnson and Booker would be gone, so it would be whoever is left between Kaminsky and Turner.
Portis would be the "desperation" option if all four are gone.

Sources say no talks happening between Knicks and Suns regarding EBledsoe/no. 4 pick

https://mobile.twitter.com/Chris_Broussard/status/614057953600126976

Kaminsky would give the Suns an immediate rotation player whose shot creates space for Eric Bledsoe, whom the Suns have not shopped in trades, and Brandon Knight, whom they plan to re-sign next month.

I am not allowed to comment this year. Sorry guys. Won't be commenting here or to the mods for a minute on anything official. May just change-up my username and stealth away from the moniker. We are not trading Bledsoe though.

My fansturbation play.

Cousins goes to LA. Kings get capspace.

Trade Bledsoe to the Knicks for the #4.
Trade for the #6 pick with a future first and the Morris Twins/Tucker for Stauskas and #6

Resign Wright. Let Green go.

Select Porzingis #4 / Hezonja #6 / Turner #13

Knight 6'3"/Goodwin 6'5"
Hezonja 6'8"/Stauskas 6'6"
Warren 6'8"/Granger 6'8"
Porzingis 7'1"/ Wright 6'9"
Len 7'1"/Turnert 6'11"

Anyway, never will happen but I would like to see at least a rebuild. Then we can move the team to Europe next year.

No team will ever win a championship with Eric bledsoe as their PG. Trade him.

 to all the Bledsoe and Kaminsky haters.

All of this losing has made the Realgm posters here blind, dumb, and crazy. Glad the FO doesn't drink what you guys do. Don't have to worry about Kaminsky though, some other team will get him and later we can bitch and moan about how we should have lost more games and drafted him....guaranteed to happen.

Return to Phoenix Suns
