The Raptors GM is somewhat known for severely overpaying players so I wonder if the Raptors will offer Tucker something like a 4 yr $50M deal in the summer.

I'm happy for Tucker, I hope he gets paid because similar to IT and Dragic, he had been playing in Phoenix under a major bargain contract.

I miss PJ, although its the right move letting him go. I legit hope the Raps come out of the east solely coz hes there. It wouldnt be so bad to sign him down the road as well when we start and actually try to win games.

There was a chance he may have screwed up the tank. Personally, I thought the Suns should have kept him unless they got a 1st rd pick in return.
he's a baller! The guy hopped off the plane, took his medical and was told he doesn't have to play, said he wanted to and went out there and totally shut Thomas down in what was like a playoff, high intensity game . . Dude is already a fan favourite in Toronto.

raps fans are loving Tucker. We always knew he'd improve a team that's contending. He was great for us and will be great for them. All the best PJ! I'll be rooting for you in the playoffs!

Now you see why the Suns were trying to get a first for him. Nobody thought he was worth it but those are the people who think they know basketball because they follow a box score and not the actual game. I laughed when I heard that he'll be a 'spark off the bench for Toronto'. It's a matter of time before he's starting.

Phoenix will try to re-sign him this summer and it'll just come down to whether he wants to continue to contend or is just content living at home with his family.
Suns GM is trying to let the youth play and it was noted they were going to send him to a contender.

Boston was stubborn and didn't want to give up a first for him (including next years likely late 1st). So now, they will pay for it. Last night was just the beginning.
I'm pulling for Toronto to win it all (or at least get to the finals).

I know it's just one game but that was against a cohesive Boston team. That was game 1 of Toronto integrating these guys. PJ didn't even get to practice yet I don't think. If he did, there's a lot to take in for that one day.

Point is, Toronto, if they work out the chemistry issues, are going to be a real force. If Love doesn't return (or even if he does), the Raps are a better team now than last season and will have a real shot at taking them out. Excited to watch them now. They are the reason I'll watch any playoff basketball this season.

Im not so sure phoenix will or should try to resign tucker. If they dont win the lotto theres a pretty good chance they draft a SF so you'll have 4 young forwards who need minutes and dudley and jones still on the roster. There just wouldn't be minutes for tucker.

Also just in general you need to be careful not to tie up too much cash in role players because if your young guys hit and all the sudden you want to try to add an impact player via free agency or trade you want to have the financial flexibility to do it.

Not me. I hope he plays well for the Raptors and we go on to draft a Marc Gasol followed by a Manu Ginobili type player with those two worthless picks.

Pj tucker is incredible, he's not just a utility guy, he really makes a team better, here's what ph did in just 29 min off the bench:

10 rebs from the SF spot
Defence at the SF
Knock down open 3
Intensity

What was extremely awesome was that pj mentored everyone and was talking to demar and demar played defence tonight, everyone on the team was hustling and diving, his impact is crazy. i think hell have a career 3pt year getting clean looks in toronto with serge, lowry and demar

This is my favorite part about him. The only other person that's been able to get DeMar to play D was Coach K in Team USA. Fact that PJ's influenced him that much last night when he's been with the team for less than 24 hrs.. wow
