Markieff & Archie to Toronto

Patterson & Delon Wright to Phoenix

Raptors don't need Wright at point because Cory Joseph signing in free agency. Suns avoid more complaining from Archie being overloaded at the wing position with Weems / Booker and get a back up point guard for the future. Patterson is a solid rotation stretch four who played with Bledsoe at Kentucky and is on a bargain two year contract. Good chemistry and fits our system.

Bledsoe / Wright / Price
Knight / Booker / Weems
Warren / Tucker / Weems
Chandler / Len
Patterson / Teletovic

Maybe we can get a pick from Toronto too or a swap up to the worse of Knicks/Nuggets pick next year owned by Toronto.

We also preserve max cap space next summer for free agency or trade. Starting power forward may be the only need at that point.

Patterson is a downgrade at PF, so I see no need for the Suns to give up Archie for Wright.

There was a day when Kobe was demanding a trade, and the Lakers just said "no." You can do that. Its hard to keep up that silent treatment thing forever.

All this stuff like Chalmers/McBob. Yuck.

I understand what you are saying, but Kobe is one in a generation player and Markieff is an average starter in this league. You can replace his production easily (players like Motiejunas, Sullinger or Terrence Jones for example can put the same or even better numbers with expanded role) and your team can be better via chemistry / professionalism.

But who is realistically offering DMo, Terrence Jones or Sullinger? No point in letting the inmates run the asylum.

Well, I really think that he has some value around the league yet. Those players are going to be paid in a year, so his value is not that high in my opinion.

Where are you guys expecting Kieff to end up?

It seems like the Rockets are the only ones who should be the favored since they have so many assets they can dangle.

Would you actually do JJ for Kieff straight up? From a Toronto standpoint I'd do that. I'd even do JJ + LAC 17' 1st. I just wouldn't give up Ross or Patterson for Kieff.

I'd do that but I know a lot of people here wouldn't do. For me, it's a logical move for us. JJ can bring defense and energy. I don't think we can get a player with equal value for Markieff.

I was thinking they'd be giving up Delon for Archie BECAUSE Patterson is a downgrade from Kieff. Delon was much more highly regarded coming out of college than Archie was. I'd be surprised if, in the long run, Archie ended up better than Delon. Kentucky vastly underachieved with Archie leading them, and lost to Robert Morris in the NIT. As for Delon Wright...

2014-15 Season
Wright became the first Pac-12 player to win the Bob Cousy Award, given to the nation’s best point guard, since it originated in the 2003-04 season. Wright was also a consensus All-American after leading the Utes to a 26-9 record and a trip to the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16, where they lost to eventual national champion Duke.

Ah, I see, I don't follow college ball much. Either way, I'm not a huge Patterson fan. I'd rather keep Keef and Archie and wait for a better offer. Preferably a deal with Houston for Jones or DMo.

Of course not. Markieff is a legit starter on great value long-term contract, JJ is a fringe rotation player with some off court issues on an expiring contract. The value is not even close. Adding a crappy future first changes nothing.

I reckon MM is a good player.
He is a border starter in this league.
But he offers poor locker room chemistry and, on the court, he is just a blackhole. No outside passes ever. Everything he receives is either a shot or a loss.

Phoenix. That is what the Suns stated per Gambo. Morris can demand a billion dollars, it is meaningless, he has zero power.

I guess thats the ultimate face palm. 'We didn't even call ya when we was firing ya (bro)' ... now you are telling us to trade you ? Mwahhahahahahah ... the desert plays mean tricks on people.

but I think its a smoke screen.... GMs know we'll deal him with the right package. Someone just has to deliver it.

True it is a smoke screen, because McD will trade the prick if the price is right, but it isn't a smoke screen as far as we are being forced to trade him and we have to take what we can get.

If someone delivers, he will be traded, if not he won't be traded. We definitely are not begging teams to take the buster. Let him rot on the bench, play horrible and lose future earnings, or sit out and lose current earnings.

Markieff is an imbecile and has no pull; for him to think so and let it be known publicly just shows his stupidity and ignorance.

Good to know that people aren't scared by Kieff's behavior.
