He is a no-brainer, but this package is questionable.

Exum has the physical tools to be a lockdown defender. He'll probably never be the offensive player that Bledsoe is. But he can be an all-defense type PG, which would be a good compliment to other offensively-minded players. He fits nicely alongside Gordon Hayward, who is the straw that turns the drink for Utah.

Strong and lethal interior scorer at 4 could be a serious advantage if you know how to utilize it. Then again, isn't every coach's dream to have 2 different players at each position - one's flaws = other's strengths and reverse.

Totally agreed. The main point is that you can no longer play two players who are not an offensive threat at PF and C--the old school twin towers model. That's why the trade proposal for Tristan Thompson is so flawed. He cannot play alongside either Chandler or Len. It would destroy spacing. But both Chandler and Len could play alongside someone like Favors, who has a solid midrange game, or Markieff Morris, who has a great midrange game. Memphis makes the twin towers system work because both Gasol and Randolph are midrange threats.

I don't think we can really answer this question until we know what happens with Keef.

Though, to be frank, I think we could close to 50 wins running Tucker at the 4.

I would really like to see a better back-up 1 on this roster. I also think we'd be better off playing Booker over Archie, which means we'd be better off trading Archie. I think he's worth a mid-1st, honestly.

+ a pick going back to Utah

Exum is out with a serious ACL injury and Utah needs a PG, I think this is pretty fair for both teams if not slightly in the Suns favor ;)

C - Chandler, Len
PF - Favors, Teletovic
SF - Tucker, Warren
SG - Booker, Weems, Goodwin
PG - Knight, Exum

Sell Chandler and Tucker at the deadline if things don't work out, build a young core of Len, Favors, Warren, Exum and Booker.

I would probably do that deal, but there is absolutely no way Utah would do it though. .....

# 1 team defense last half of the season... They smothered teams last yr when Gorbert and Favors hit their groove. One of my best trend bets last yr was taking the Jazz at home on second night of a back to back for visitors. Usually a road tripping team rolls through the west with a stop in Portland, then Utah. Tough house.

And they could be even better this yr. Good nicknames brewing. The Rim Reapers, the Swat Team, The Stifle Tower. Things looking up in SLC. I see them leapfrogging us once they get the PG's situated.

I have 19 words for you:

Dragic, Smith, Barbosa, Bledsoe*, Green, Goodwin, Tucker, Morris, Christmas, Frye, Morris, Randolph, Plumlee, Len, Kravstov.

Chemistry is everything.

I'm guessing he meant, if you were Frank, you wouldn't suggest we'd win 50 games, nor would Frank suggest starting Tucker at the four.

Another shooting guard. Idk why they would sign another guard. Bledsoe, Knight, Goodwin, Booker, Price, even that guy Weems or Tucker can play guard.

I am thinking Goodwin will be shipped out with Markieff.

Only one player under the age of 25 in the starting lineup, and realistically, Len and Warren will be the only super young guys that crack the rotation. This Suns team doesn't feel like they are developing young talent for the future at all. More like they are collecting up on veteran role players, hoping the change of scenery will allow for over achievement, and maybe an 8th seed if they are lucky.

The Suns are one Alex Len injury away from having Warren being the only young developing player that they drafted themselves and who actually plays in the rotation. Are the Suns a rebuilding team? I don't see it...

They should have traded Goodwin yesterday. It would have been a wonderful 21st Birthday present for him, to know he is going to a team that wants to give him a chance and develop. The Suns are more concerned with making the 8th seed than player development. I swear that is why they keep a few young guys on the roster. They never play them, but it brings down the average age of the team, so foolish fans can keep saying, "look how young we are!".

Very baffling move.
I think it's a sign they are planning on a big package going out.

Also it could mean Booker is going to be D-league bound.

All the signings are against McD's long term rebuild plan. It's like Sarver has told him playoff or no extension on his contract.

I am highly concerned with this direction as it just reinforces 8th seed goals. Having a very young team contending for 8th seed is fine. But having veterans and 8th seed as a likely finish is a terrible short sighted plan.

Who knows what could be going on. Maybe a blockbuster move, maybe nothing. I have no idea what the organization is working on.

WTF.

So fans hoping a young player develops to be a good player are foolish????? That's what you have generalised fans who like to say Suns are young because those fans are hoping young players develop to be good players one day.

This guy is signed for training camp...not big deal here. He will not be on the final roster.
Every year we sign some players to fight for a roster spot and is better to have more bodies for practices and preseason games.

Who is Terrico's agent? Maybe it's just a favor to get him back in the league, even if it's just for a few preseason games. This doesn't seem like a big deal.

Yeah I wouldnt look too far into it. He is probably friends with Weems, who probably got him an invite to training camp.

According to the president of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine, Mikhail Brodsky, Len has promised to defend the colors of the team next year, but now it is important to approach the new season without injury and in good shape because of its games will depend on the signing of a new five-year contract with the "Phoenix".

Are we forgetting that Bledsoe is a damn good defender with every bit the potential to be all-NBA on defense?
