Brandon Knight is going to put up 20ppg here on out. He's going to chuck away and pad his stats in garbage time.

If we can somehow convince Keef to play well for the rest of the year in exchange for a guaranteed summer trade, then that gives us two decent assets in the summer.

If a team lands the #1 pick and doesn't need a PF (Simmons) or is totally in love with a player projected to go 2-5, then maybe...just maybe we can package our pick (2-5) and Keef and Knight for #1/Simmons.

Before you tell me "Lukasbmw, you are an idiot! No one is going to trade the #1 pick this year."

Please remember:

1. Wiggins was the #1 pick and was traded because the Cavs wanted to win now! (Wiggins for Love).
2. No one thought that the winner of the 1993 Chris Weber sweepstakes would trade him (CWebb for Penny).
3. Noel was a "LOCK" to go #1 before he blew out his knee.
4. No one thought that Okafor would drop to #3 last year.

So, let's be real. Stuff happens in the draft.

For example, if the Pelicans get the #1 pick but decide that they want AD to be their future 4 and that Simmons wont get any burn AND they are targeting a guy that will be available when we pick, then maybe...just maybe they trade their pick for ours and we send them Knight/Keef as well.

They get the player they want and they also add two starting caliber players to their roster.

I don't see Philly, Boston, or LAL passing up on Simmons, but a borderline playoff team with existing talent might (Min, NOP, Denver, or especially the Bucks since they are already staked at the forward spots).

Given the way the Cavs are being killed atm moment at home by the Warriors, I could see Cleveland pulling the trigger on some sort of deal. Especially seeing how their defense is being picked apart.

I don't think they'd part with Kyrie, but they've just become a more likely trade destination for Keiff and/or Chandler.

Chandler + Tucker for Varejao (2 years) + Mozgov (exp) + 2018 top 7 protected first rounder?

The East is wide open this year. There are probably plenty of teams that feel with the right addition, they could win the conference. The Suns potentially hold several pieces that could help sway the power in Chandler, Markieff, and Teletovic. I would say Knight but he just sucks and I do not see any team wanting him. That guy shoots 20+ times a game at a poor clip and is a turnover machine and is paid like an all star. He might be untradeable. I also doubt anyone really cares about Tucker either. He does nothing offensively and overall is a garbage player. Maybe the Suns could get a second round pick for him.

I just want this team to be dismantled for a plethora of picks. 2nds even do have value. Guys this board have drooled over have been 2nd rounders. Guys like Montrezl, for instance. Deandre was a 2nd rounder too. Gilbert might've been (can't remember if he was last pick of the 1st round or top of the 2nd).

My ideal deadline:
Mirza for 2 2nds
Tucker for a 2nd and a youngster
Chandler for a late first and an expiring
Markieff for something positive (I have no idea how to equate his value. He could net a solid 1st and a youngster or just a 2nd. It's hard to tell imo).
Price for a bear who can play the trumpet at halftime.

Realistically, I think we only move 3 of the vets. I'd like to move more though.

Don't have cap space or a TPE, or a first for 5 years. Would need to match salary.

It's usually around this time when contenders start to figure out where they're carrying extra baggage and decide to trim the fat. That's when offers (not necessarily good ones) start to flow in for guys like Tucker, Kieff and Chandler/Knight (???) who could be had for guys who aren't contributing now but could be a piece for the future.

I think buyers/teams we have vets who they want are:

Atlanta - Could use another stretch 4, maybe we get a 2nd/Scott for Teletovic?

Boston - They could use Kieff and Chandler, but doubt Ainge takes on Chandler without us throwing a pick in. Maybe Kieff for Lee's expiring and a 2nd?

Cleveland - All this talk about the Cavs wanting Kieff probably intensifies now, as others have mentioned due to Love's injury and their ineptitude vs the Warriors. I think it'd be the TPE by itself, or maybe Mozgov's expiring (I'd try send him elsewhere too).

Indy, Detroit and Toronto could all use Kieff, but the best package we're likely getting from any of the 3 is something like Budinger + Solomon Hill and maybe a 2nd. I'd LOVE to try and get Turner from Indy, he'd be an awesome PF especially for the rebuilding situation we're wanting (hoping) to go through. I'd do Kieff + Weems + CLE pick for Turner + Stuckey, essentially taking back his bad deal to get Turner.

I keep hearing/thinking OKC could use Tucker and Chandler...but I want NO part of Kanter. What about a 3-teamer:
Chandler + Tucker to OKC
Kanter to Brooklyn
McGarry + Thad + Jack to PHX

Getting Thad doesn't make a lot of sense if we're rebuilding but need the contracts to work and can always flip him to another team later.

We could probably offload Chandler + Archie to LAC for Lance and Crawford...buy out Craw and let him sign with a contender and maybe let Lance have a bigger role and try and trade him again.

Teams like the Nets need talent but that comes with salary...I mean they could have Chandler, Tucker and Weems for JJ's expiring for all I care and I'd accept without any additions from their end!

All this hope of dealing pieces away and it'll probably only be Kieff on the move!

Markieff and Cleveland 1st for 2 future unprotecteds.

Target picks that could possibly go top 10, they're probably worth a heap of others combined, EG. we couldnt bundle 14, 18, 29 to move into the top 10 in 2014 and Ainge tried a 5 for 1 last year.

Any salary match plus the first 5 years from now. I hear the 2021 draft is stacked.

Eh, he's not really worth a first that far out honestly, I'd see what else is around.

Isn't Cleveland's only future pick to us this year?

Problem with their picks is Irving, Love and LeBron are likely there for the rest of the decade.

After last nights big loss to GSW, Suppose the Cavs are ready to move on from Kevin Love.. what would you be willing to give up for him?

Package 1
Chandler
Keef
Draft Picks

Package 2
Bledsoe
Keef

Package 3
Tucker
Keef
Len

Who are our players who could fit around lebron and his championship aspirations? I think they could use Tucker, Keef and Chandler.

Not sure about Love at this point. He is not enough of a super star to lead a team by himself, but he struggles to be effective around other superstars. Kind of a catch 22 there it seems.

A Boogie for Love swap makes sense for both teams.

Sacramento gets back a legit superstar. Kevin Love goes back to Cali.

Cleveland get's a real interior punch.

Cousins is better than Love.
Defensively, Cousins actually is effective.

I really think the best landing spot for Chandler is Chicago. They're in a place where they lost a lot of minutes at the C position and they have a legitimate chance of contending this year. Tyson could really help their team. Additionally, with Pau opting out this summer, they might feel good about having Chandler locked up in case they can't retain him.

1. Chandler for Noah straight up

2. Chandler/Tucker/Archie for Noah/Dougie
