These players who get traded to 2-3 teams end up just rotating with each other on bad teams. Trade him for Knight lol.

Hold on here. Not wanting lance and not wanting to improve the team are two different things. Lance is a turd and simply not the type of human being I would want near young players. Dudes been a headcase his whole life. Dude pushed his girlfriend down a flight of stairs for Christ sake.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Plus Charlotte took a big step back the year they got him and then a big step forward the year after they got rid of him. Unless people think it was purely the Kaminsky addition.

I do agree that the phrase "doesn't move the needle" has definitely run it's course. It was the May phrase of the month.

Let me re-phrase that, they have had great drafts, as in they have drafted guys who have produced and have not turned into busts.

Because they have been injured, or played in other countries? The one guy they drafted who won rookie of the year was traded for a future pick. Of their 5 lottery picks of the last three years they have played a little over 4 combined years total.

MCW - 1.5 years
Noel - almost 2 years
Okafor - almost 1 year
Embiid - none
Saric - none

The two guys they still have can't play together so they may trade one for Jeff Teague.

Three pretty terrible years (2 being absolutely bottom of the barrel unwatchable terrible) has netted then what may end up being Okafor and Teague, or Dunn and Noel, who doctor's say won't make it through his second contract.

The 76ers have had some great drafts, and a few good pieces like us, but FA's still refuse to sign there. Why? Winning matters. In order to win games, you must improve the team. We see teams all the time that dont look to make small improvements here and there, they just swing for the fences and whiff big time (Like us with Lebron or Aldridge). Maybe if we had a few more guys who played better ball Aldridge would have chosen us. Stephenson was a Lebron stopper. King James knows what he could do and how annoying he could be on D, maybe if we had him and a few better guys instead of just his buddy Bledsoe, Lebron would have chose us. Who knows.

Im just saying, if you can improve your team even a little, you do it. All those little bits add up and can help land/keep a better player that can move the proverbial needle leaps and bounds.

I agree with what you are saying here and the principle of it but I don't think Lance is the right fit for us. We've had major chemistry issues the last couple of seasons. I don't think adding a volatile player to the locker room is the way to go right now for us especially with so many young players. I wouldn't mind adding someone like Marvin Williams or Batum though.

If this Teague/Noel thing has legs I hope McD is on the phone with Colangelo. Knight+filler for Noel sounds like a fine plan.

Hinikie's hard work? I hope you are being ironic with this statement since Hinkie's hard work was to gut a team and put the worst grouping of player out on the floor possible. Doing this one year might be understandable but doing it year after year after year is a joke. The NBA should have stepped in and fired him years ago for the 76ers being an embarrassment to the NBA.
Just say no to idiots!!

Not sure I buy that. Ok4 stock is low now. But, to say it would take a lot more to entice Boston, I think is over-exaggerating a little.

This is a pretty interesting article, but what is really interesting is the chart showing at what age point guards have their best season(s) and worst, and how they much they get better or decline each year. If anyone wants to post the chart in the thread, go for it..

#1, Steve Kyler is the biggest idiot of all "sports" guys out there, and #2, who knows what they'd do? They could easily think it's a good deal but tell people it would take a lot more to get that pick.

Kyler is definitely an idiot I just take exception that he's the biggest.

I don't buy it either fwiw. It's a 2 player draft with very little separating all the players in tier 2 which takes up pick 3 through 8 (Bender, Hield, Dunn, Chriss, Brown, Murray.) Okafor is better than all those guys right now (as well he should be) and I'm pretty sure not one of them will put up the ppg next season that Okafor did this season. Anyhow, Boston will do what's best for them long term. They are likely trying to extort Philly right now and they should be. Just remember it's draft time. Don't believe half of what you read. It's almost all bull.

Does Amare have anything left in the tank? Maybe we could sign just to bang around Chriss or Bender in practice.
I always wanted to put Chandler and Amare together to bad it wasn't 10 years ago.
