letsgosuns wrote:I would trade Knight for Noel right now. The report today on NBA.com said that the 76ers want to trade him and are not interested in giving him an extension. I think he is out for a few more weeks. Get Noel, keep Len, trade Chandler in the next month or so. Let Noel and Len play center the rest of the year and re-sign whichever you want or even keep both of them. I like Chandler, but at 34 years old, he does not fit the team. With the psychotic contracts being given out for big men, I am sure a contender would trade something good for Chandler. He is still productive.
Oh we all would. That's a no brainer. I'd trade Tucker for Gobert or Favors as well, but these types of trades are far fetched.

Well the reason I do not think Knight for Noel is far fetched is because the 76ers have three young centers and have been trying to trade one since June. Then factor that they need a guard. Plus they are a horrible team. Knight is young enough to fit their core age group and is signed for four years including this year at a good price compared to other contracts out there. They also have so much salary cap space that his contract does not even affect them. And Idk how much trade value Noel really has anyway.

This is a guy that especially a team like them can't let go, so whatever it takes. This is extremely rare for a guy on a rookie contract:

Sure if they think he is a good player. I don't. I don't think you do. So I certainly don't think team scouts do. Maybe they do though. You're right they need a guard but have at least one very high pick in a pg heavy draft and maybe two if they get the Lakers pick.
If I were them I wouldn't. I hold out for something better.

Okay they can have Tucker too.

If Knight gets on fire before Noel comes back from surgery than maybe it's a possibility, but even in the unlikely scenario that Philly is really high on Knight, our FO might be a little worried about giving him that huge deal in the offseason. He WILL likely get a huge offer in the $20 million or more range, regardless of where he is. Dieng will probably get a big one too. Both before Len will actually.

I don't want Okafor. Suns have enought scorers, don't needs more players who are useless when not scoring. Especially for center defense is more important than offense. And Okafor is thug. Do we want another Morris on this team?
I dont care. We need talent. Barkley was a thug and took us to the final. I want the talented suns, good and young. Okafor is 20, Its worth.
There is a reason nobody wants to give much for Okafor. Bigs playing back to the basket with bad D aren't valuable those days. Suns have at least 2 young players with potential to be 20+ points scorers. They don't need scoring center. They need young Tyson Chandler. I was hoping Len will turn into that

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
First, Steven Adams is overrated. He's a serviceable big, but no way is he worth 4 years 100 million. Second, it doesn't matter how bad you think Len is, his agent sees the money being given to young centers and will be asking for as close to the same number as possible.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Great. Then a different team can pay him big money #NOLEN

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
Spurs can use Knight Tucker and Len as far as I can see in the trade machine. All 3 for LMA works money wise.
Can we save Noel's knees is what I'd be worried about with a Philly trade

16 mil a year for Dieng? Stupid Lakers destroyed the centers market with this ridiculous Mozgod deal... Prepare yourselves for a similar contract for Len next year.

You know what, I'm cool with Tyson's contract now. Let him start until we actually have a young center to take his spot. No to Len at a +14 million contract.

At least Dieng is #good, but he's really old comparing with the other guys.

It's pretty amazing that Adams had the same deal than Giannis.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
Two teams that I think freaked out over losing their own superstars and overpaid other players because of it are the Blazers and Thunder. Now these two teams are stuck with overloaded salaries and have no realistic chance to win a championship as currently constructed. I would hate to virtually max out players and stay a treadmill team.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas and Discussion
Dieng's contract is good.
Gobert is fine.
Adams is not worth 25 million dollars a year... 17-18 million is fair.
Len's agent right now is salivating.
Len on another team that he fits in may be worth 15 or more... But on the Suns he is worth 8 million.
