His effort on this is just disgusting. Literally just standing and watching instead of making any type of effort to get the ball.

Re: Ayton: Post Suns Haters
Their hurting for players too...lost Simons, Scoot and Brogdon, so they had to convert Skylar Mays from a 2 way and he starts. Jerami Grant can score but he's never met a passing option he liked.
Ayton's gonna struggle this season. They are in the bottom 3 in 3pt shooting %, so have no spacing or room inside, so defenders don't have to respect 3 pt line much and can just stand right outside or in the paint....then there isn't much passing or chemistry even when the guards are healthy...but Simons and Scoot won't be back for like a month. Scoot's a raw rookie anyway.

It's disappointing with Grant I wish he could try to work with his team but no he just stat pads to the detriment of his team.
Maybe he's trying to increase his trade value but at his salary it could be challenging to find takers.

Fortunately, winning, doesn’t matter to DA… At least right now. He had to realize this year was going to be just one for the books, but then again, he has that delusional quality.
What ? Me Worry ?

Don't you mean unfortunately? Or you referring to his bank book? Or that Suns fans don't have to watch his half assed efforts?

No, not really… There are no expectations, there is no pressure. Minimal accountability. No intense teammate that is caling him out.
All he has to do is punch the clock. Looks like a dream season for him.

Not according to Ayton of course...
“There’s a new thing we got going over here so it’s not really about me,” Ayton said. “It’s about how we’re going to figure this thing out and win games.”

Really don't see what else there is to discuss about Ayton...Great role player. Has his weaknesses and strengths.
That's really all I can say lol.

He does have brain farts like that sometimes.
He played a lot better yesterday and with Brogdon out he's been getting more touches and finished with 22. He even dunked a couple times.

Bruh they're down Brogdon, Simons, Scoot, and Robert Williams. Of course his touches are gonna go up - but it meant nothing when it came to the win column.
He still is what he is - an efficient mid range jump shooting big man who can't create his own shot and doesn't get to the line.

They're a rebuilding team anyway who are very young so you don't expect many wins, but of course not when they are missing so many key players.
We can't even win much with superstars if we are missing a player or two.
It's like last year when Paul, Book, Cam, Payne, Shamet,Crowder, etc, were out and we were playing with like Saben Lee, Torrey Craig, Bridges, Ayton, people were blaming Bridges and Ayton for our losses lol.

Which means the flaws in his game are even MORE magnified and he's not that dude to strap them on his back vs a bad Jazz team because ........
...... his offensive game is limited and a MAX player at that. It's amazing that we are still talking about this.
They still have Sharpe and Grant their two leading scorers btw.

I know his offensive game is limited. I know Sharpe and Grant are their two leading scorers. They take a TON of shots. I've watched a little of them this year and Grant NEVER passes to anyone, even if there is someone wide open and his other option is a bad shot. Sharpe doesn't pass much either but started looking for Ayton a bit more the last time I watched. Scoot had just started looking for him before he went down. They just don't have much for chemistry.
But of course the primary ball handlers, if they are score first guys, are going to be the top scorers, especially if they are jacking up 15-18 shots a game while Ayton shoots 10x a game and the team has no spacing...those guys drive a lot to the rim too, ugly at times, but get to the line a bit.
But they have a very ugly offense, even when they are not missing 3 of their top 6 guys.

I get all that.
It still bares repeating that if the following were true:
- He could go get his own offense (think Shawn Marion)
- He could take guys off the dribble
- He had a back-to-the-basket game
- He could get to the line
- He could be more physical and set hard screens
- He could be a facilitator
...... then they wouldn't be so dead in the water with those other guys out. Yes, it's common sense winning games without some of your better players is harder, but he's the highest paid man on that team.
Even when healthy I really don't think there's any way you can give him 15-20 shots a night consistently because his preferred style of play bogs your offense down in a spread out chuck happy league - even with as efficient and smooth his mid-range is. At most it would be matchup dependent. That's why the Suns often went away from him and so are the Blazers (when healthy).
He would need to significantly improve on at least 3 of the elements I listed for any of it to change. That's all on him not his teammates.

MAX player puts up a line of 22-10 and thats talking point worthy. woof.

Aaaaand the "full Ayton experience" requires the next game to be... drumroll... 6pts (3/10shooting, no FTs), and 6 rebounds in 26 mins with nothing else (steals, blocks or assists) in an other L
