So.... Danny Ainge was right?!?!

One less ball handler/scorer. I know he frustrated but for a minimum guy, comparing him to other minimum guys like Yuta, KBD, etc, etc....he was great.

So our guard depth is NOT deep at all. It's basically Beal, Book and Allen...not much for ball handlers.

We should be able to convince an undrafted PG to sign with us, though it's pretty slim pickins. Trey Alexander, and Reece Beckman have different strengths/weaknesses, though neither is a good shooter. Beckman is a great defender but Trey is a better shooter, more efficient, etc. Beckman is a little better ast/to.

Beckman is 6'3 and Alexander 6'4.

Here are the best available to sign as undrafted free agents according to Givony. Keshad Johnson was kind of fun to watch at times. The Kentucky guy was pretty raw and inconsistent. We might go for a PG or guy with more experience...but getting any of them would probably be good..to make roster or G league. You can get more detailed breakdown of them by clicking on them (the dropdown on the right) here: https://www.espn.com/nba/draft/bestavailable

I know they say you can't have too many wings in today's NBA but you can also have too few PGs....

Seems like we always have too few or too many PGs.

Absolute necessities as we enter free agency: floor spacing 5 and a backup PG who can get others involved. I don’t think a floor spacing 5 exists on the FA market for a vet min so we probably have to explore the trade market (which is why I prioritized a floor spacing 5 in the draft). Bol can’t hold up at the 5 but he could play spot minutes if that’s our only choice. There are several PGs that should be available cheap though.

Would love if we got Lowry AND Dunn. But with our roster, Lowry, followed by Dunn out of the 3. Paul won't want to come back here. He obviously was pissed at Ish (and IT).

I was thinking Lowry was done earlier but he had better #s than I thought, but am not sure how well he would hold up so if we could get Dunn for the future and he is a better defensive PG.

I was looking at a possible Little for McBride trade but I don't think the salaries match and I am not sure we can take two players back (like Jericho Sims). We'd have to throw in a second or two to do that though. McBride a lot better than Little.

Also, isn't Payne a FA? If so, I'd be really happy to get him back. Not sure we could get him for a minimum contract though. Lowry and Dunn might get more than the minimum as well.

Actually, there are a few solid names out there for us to consider honestly:

1- Mike Muscala.
2- Meyers Leonard.
3- Matthew Hurt.
4- Frank " The Tank"
5- John Butler.
*** Pter Cornelie.
*** Daniel Theiss.

Possibly more too.......................................
Undrafted scraps:
Ryan Kalkbrenner, Brenden Carlson, Drew pember, etc.

One of these days we'll get Muscala for GoK. He's been trying to will it for years.

Respectfully I don’t think anyone there meets the standard we should be looking for.

We have 15 roster spots and a G-league team. I honestly was always a bit iffy about having a rookie PG run the show with three former all-nba players on our roster, we need someone with some NBA millage to run the show. Jalen Bridges seems like a solid 3&D player with the size to play the 2/3 spots.

Let's see what our roster looks like when we're done dealing and the vet min players have been signed.

He was playing cornhole with D-Lo a couple days ago in the woods or something to that affect.
KD for Sengun, picks, whatever else (Dillon Brooks), Beal for D'Lo, Rui, Gabe Vincent, 17th pick? Draft Dunn at 17, Kolek at 22.

D-Lo / Kolek
Booker / Bol / Brooks
Grayson / Dunn
Rui / Royce
Sengun / Nurkic

Gotta do it just to roll out Brooks & Dunn.

Same! I’ve cooled on the rookie PG. This team needs a vet PG that won’t take crap from the duo & Beal.

I want Dunn but I feel like some team will give him more than the min to keep him away from us. I doubt Paul wouldn’t want to come back. Suns are his best chances at winning a ring & getting playing time.
