I get the Suns' FO plan of having Nash and Hill around as tutors for the young guys, since there probably aren't two more professional guys in the league, but I don't like that Nash's asking price is above $10m/year. It definitely limits their flexibility in 2010, particularly if they also extend Stoudemire. However, the flexibility in 2010 was designed to get a marquee player, and if you extend Stoudemire, that's basically your marquee player right there.

Unless Sarver suffers some kind of blunt-forced trauma to the head and manifests a freakish desire to pay the tax to compete at the highest level to sign another marquee player.

I like that PHX has taken the standpoint of "we'll talk extension when we see how he plays" with Amar'e.

Have the Suns become that team that has to overpay to keep guys or bring them here? We overpaid Nash for this extension, we gave Marion the Max, will probably give it to Amare.

I just had an anus-clenching moment of horror

The RGM headline box had a new story "Clips Announce Randolph for Richardson DEal" and for a shuddering, ice-cold moment I feared we had dealt JRich for ZBo ...

Then I realized it was just the official announcement of the Memphis/Clips deal

That was a close one ....

Seeing how everyone wants us to trade Richardson for a big, it surprises me that no one would approve of such a trade, I mean we would still be getting a deal done for a big right?
Haha, Zbo would be horrible, he is fat and can't run with us. Plus to bring him here after he punched Lou we as fans might have to punch him back.

Why is Zach Randolph's nickname Z-Bo?

Yeah dude, I was only half-awake when I checked the news and I totally sh*t myself when I saw it. I was like, I'm done as a Suns fan if we get Z-Bo.

Frye had a nice interview on fox 10 tonight, he came off well, he seemed like a bright guy..... except for when he said he thinks he's the only U of A guy ever to play for the Suns. Don't know if his GM would agree with him on that one.

Ben Davis and Jud Buschler also spent a little time here... But none of the 3 did anything here anyways.

But yeah he came off as intelligent and humble, look forward to seeing how he meshes with the team.
