That's sort of a strange comment regarding Saric. Why hope to bring him back? Does this mean he's asking for way too much?

Given the ridiculous contracts beind handed out, I wouldn't be surprised if his agent is asking for something like 15 million a year. That said, he's an RFA, so we hold all the chips.

Big money has now already dried up, and I can't see Saric getting a mega offer anywhere. Maybe the Knicks?

I think the Knicks are the only team that can. Then again, I didn't realize Charlotte had all that cap space either.

With Toppin there though, and Randle for another year, it doesn't make any sense for them to sign him. They seem to be trying to preserve cap space for next summer though..they have a few expirings next summer.

I would add GRIT to that. Im not a fan of his but if someone on the other team is popping off, he is the dude they need to watch out of the corner of their eye for!!! I like the toughness and team guy he is, seemed to shoot out of his mind from 3 last year!!!

Credit where credit is due!

Not cheap like I thought he’d be but he’s basically PJ Tucker with less rebounding ability. And everyone here wanted the Suns to sign Tucker.

No WE.... didnt!

Can you trust the bubble numbers? The sight lines in there were ridiculous for shooters. Was almost like shooting in a practice gym. Dude shot 45% from 3 for Miami.

I don't know..no crowds and all that...Payne's #s, Saric's #s, etc. Crowder shot 29% from 3 for Memphis for most of the season then finished for Miami and shot 45%.

Seems like a bunch of guys shot WAY better in the bubble.

Crowder for his career was a little less than 34% but had been declining before that and was like 32-33% before this past year when he was under 30% before Miami and the bubble. He's kind of an energy guy, but Miami didn't want him back.

Looking towards the future, I wonder what this team will do once Paul is off the books, it will be the same year as Ayton’s extension, and if he plays to our expectations it will probably be a rookie max. That will most probably be the make or break year for this core.

There is ZERO chance we are taking back that Rozier contract. Even if we could somehow. I will consider us as fans lucky if we use all our exceptions.

I seriously seriously doubt we use all our exceptions AND use Baynes in a S&T, even if it was a small one. If we happen to do that though, I will be really happy with Sarver.

I agree. It will either be taking on 8-10m or so with a Baynes S&T or signing somebody to the BAE. Not both.

Wanamaker with the BAE at this point.

McLaughlin, Wanamaker, Napier or possibly Teague or Jackson if they will take that little.

Hopefully McLaughlin. I think he showed some good promise to be a solid backup PG even though he’s on the shorter side.

I’d only want any of the other guys on the vet min. Teague, actually, I wouldn’t want at all.

So the Hornets are going to stretch Batum to sign Hayward..

I am pretty good with James Jones these days

I think Miami didn’t want him back because their trying to preserve longterm cap space for a run at Giannis.

Many of their fans on the Heat forum liked Crowder and thought he was the perfect fit for them as a stretch 4.

Yeah, he'd been disappointing for a while until Miami. Hopefully he is rejuvenated. He was awful in Memphis last year.

What happened to Batum last year? Did he die or was he hurt?

Assuming we bring Saric back and hopefully a guard that can shoot, i still see issues on the second unit scoring wise

At least we did this yesterday.

no fan of Frank and i hated the signing last year but if we end up with undrafted rookies, G leaguers and the such, he might have looked good in comparrison

I don't like it because it's a pure cost saving move. We are over the cap regardless, may as well keep him as salary filler in a potential trade since most of our guys are pretty cheap.

I want to believe we're just doing him a solid to get himself some of this money that is being thrown around, but it seems unlikely. Guess we'll see when he signs his next deal.

Thats why I thought scoring guard off the bench was the highest priority
