The Suns are ready to pay 100mil for CamJ, otherwise there is no understanding that they are as quiet as a mouse.

What the hell is Jones doing?
Waiting for some bS durant deal
Suns could have beaten that deal

Lakers look better than their championship team now IMO.

I get why Utah did it, don't get why Minny caved for only 2nds with Conley

I guess I understand that. If we were willing to deal a first for Vandy and Beasley but couldn't match salaries without adding Saric and/or Shamet and Jones/Monty balked at that I would not be very happy. Utah is getting massive cap relief so Saric would have had to go out along with Crowder and maybe more...possibly Craig. Shamet has another year so they may not have wanted that.
But to get those two guys AND DLo for only one pick doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
The Lakers will be pretty good now. The west battle will be tough.
This looks really really horrible. Shamet and Saric are not NBA players. Craig is 12th man material. Crowder doesn't even play.
My brain is going to explode I should probably take 5 minutes.
Hopefully Book doesn't join his buddy in LA near the end of his supermax after LeBron retires to play with fellow Kentucky man AD (if he is still around), DLo and those other new guys. Weird that AD is only 29.

It's a tough look for JJ. We may have less pressure to win it all this season compared to LA but we need to do something

the Laker pick is only top 4 protected and the other huge thing the jazz did was get off Conley's contract which we wouldn't probably do unless we were willing to move Cp3. I don't want the Suns giving up an lightly protected pick and taking on 35 year old back up point guard for two backups and i loved the idea of Vanderbilt, that not at that price

Don't tell BW this. It'll break his heart to hear that Peotl is unavailable if that trade happens.
Maybe Toronto can reroute him to us for Ayton?
I don't want Poeltl and have been saying I have heard Toronto wants him for awhile now. This isn't news. Once again, I brought up Poeltl + whoever for Ayton as something I could see JJ doing...and SA being one of the few teams that would need a C and has tons of cap space...mostly young guys...I brought up deals like that, Bojan and one of their Cs because I could see Detroit and one other team I now can't even remember.
I'm the one of us that wants to keep Ayton.
Jokes bro, jokes.
I know you're a fellow Ayton fan, that's why I was always puzzled to see you constantly place him in such awful trades. I mean, if we're moving him for Peotl/Plumlee either his value is trash or we have a moron for a GM...and I never see you critizing JJ.

Do you think it's changed based on today (compared to yesterday...not the fact we haven't done anything)? Like the Wolves and Lakers suddenly became bigger contenders?
It changed because Lebron is the new NBA point leader and the NBA said "The lakers gonna lake Utah and minny"!!!!

The Lakers are clearly much better after this deal so that hurts us, yes. But I’ve been of the view that we weren’t real contenders all season so our inaction today didn’t change that.

DLo and Beasley vs KCP and Caruso. Vandy vs Kuzma. They also had Harrell, Morris, Rondo, Dwight Howard and Danny Green. But this team has Monk and Schroder.

It will be absolutely glorious if this Lakers team made the playoffs and knocked us out

Two shot creators and a mobile big
omg
TWO SHOT CREATORS AND A MOBILE BIG
OMFG.
It's wild man. All three fill the exact roles we needed filled. It couldn't have lined up any more perfectly for a non-star player trade. I guess we should just be thankful that Jones didn't give up two unprotected firsts or include Cam or something crazy like that to beat it? With Jones I'm always half frustrated and half relieved when he doesn't make a trade.

the REAL loser here is Minny. They basically helped facilitate the trade, got a downgrade from DLo to Conley while taking on an extra year of salary and all they got was a lousy pair of 2nds. The worst part is that they JUST got fleeced by Ainge like 6mths ago and they went back for more lol
