It hard to say who would fit here w/o knowing who will be gone from here.

Why can't we assume the guys on our rosters is our squad going into next season at least? I don't see anyone popping up that's going to be franchise changing for us any time soon.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Len /Towns

this isn't 2k lol maybe the kings would deal their pick but there is no way the sixers or knicks would deal their pick, especially without getting a "Star" player back.

We definitely need someone that can hit a jumper. Guys we might be interested in that can shoot:

Sam Dekker - More athletic than he seems, really good shooter, and smart player. We need smart players!!

RJ Hunter - Lights out shooter, with range. He seems like he could take over a game with his shooting, and is super long (6'10" wingspan) which will help playing defense.

Frank Kaminsky - 7 footer with skills and a jumper. He has the size to post up smaller guys, and hit the outside shot against bigger guys. Seems like a more skilled channing frye.

Looney- Long rebounder, but not very big. He seems kinda like a cliff robinson because hes wirey but can shoot outside.

The Knicks are pretty much in this league for altruistic purposes though no? I believe that as part of their business model they make a lopsided deal that benefits the Suns every 5 years. It's been a decade since we dumped Penny and Marbury on them and 5 years since they took on Stat's contract. Trading Towns to us would only further this proud tradition.

The only hitch in a trade involving Knight, is it can not be a draft night trade, it would have to be a sign and trade deal happening a couple weeks later, and I am not fully aware of what we can or can not do in that situation. We would definitely not be able to give him a five year deal and trade him right away. I think the earliest that could happen is Dec.

And I just don't see Phil making that deal after positioning the team to get a high pick.

I think PJ will trade that high pick for a bunch of proven players.
Carmelo already wasted his prime on **** teams... he wont do that again.

that's two situations for him right now
1- trade pick to help Carmelo right now
2- trade carmelo and start a full rebuild.

it's a tough spot for him.

Our guys were a bit too inconsistent to be considered "proven players" though. This is Bledsoe's first full season at starting point, and Keiff's first starting season ever. Len has been good, but not great, and often injured. So if PJ does trade that pick for a proven player, it won't be from us.

Melo isn't going nowhere. Knicks will be noisy in FA. I think its possible we can send them a bledsoe package for top 3

Phil doesn't have patience for a full rebuild. He has NEVER gone through it. Dolan doesn't either which is why the Knicks usually suck. They will go all out to sign stars or whatever and I think if they can get someone really good, they will definitely trade the pick.

Yeah, I've mentioned if he slides to us I would be interested in him. Him, Trey Lyles, Myles Turner, and Bobby Portis if he comes out. I'd focus on those four.

All those guys have far more upside than say, WCS or Harrell or even Kaminsky. Kaminsky is a smart player. I can't really decide on him. It seems like he'd get outmuscled too easy in the nba....but then I think of Dirk and Durant and those guys have little muscle as well.

I wonder if he will go that high. He's as high as six in some mocks, but I think Winslow is probably better, and likely Porzingis and Hezonja as well, though I don't know those guys as well. Though I do love Stanley too. I will hate to see it if Philly gets that pick though.

he shouldn't go any higher than 9
and I personally, won't pick him higher than 11-12.

I doubt I'd take him higher than any of the guys I named, but I'd definitely take him over Cauley-Stein.

I'm compiling some stats from this draft, to find out who stand out on some key categories (TRB%, AST/TO ratio, STL/BLK%, FGRim%)

all guys that declared to the draft are already in, i'll start to include notable SR too.

if anyone is interested, here's the link:

Domantas will stay in the college... that probably means Karnowski or Wiltjer are gone.

Kaminsky has a poor frame as far as NBA PF's go. I just can't see him not getting manhandled defensively and on the boards. He's almost like a less-athletic Laettner without the mean streak.
