It wouldn't be just for Lee. It would be for a first.

Knowing our luck, our tank will win us the 3rd pick and push the Lakers pick down to the point where we WOULD have received their pick too, had we have kept it.

I feel like we're stuck with TC.

It's going to look horrible for Phoenix as a future FA destination if two of our biggest signings in two years and moved 6 months into their new contract. IT last year, TC this year.

Well.. that's if our team's satus can get any lower in the eyes of a FA...

The only reason to keep Chandler is for leadership.

We need some vets on the team.

Hope thats a reaction to Weems being told that despite the injury to Bledsoe, he will still be the 3rd string SG behind Booker and Goodwin.

Mr ORNG thinks this is to eliminate who would be next on the 'interim coaching' list. Seems to think Hornacek being fired is inevitable.

we could ship Knight to Atlanta for Schroeder, Splitter and a pick. I think Schroeder is waiting to get a change somewhere and could be a similar situation like with Bledsoe first year here

Would love Schroeder here. Would love it even more if Bled and Knight were gone too and we let Dennis run the team. Kid has crazy potential

Obviously if anyone would want Keif they can have him but I'd really be looking to move both telly and luer. Both are free agents this summer and could fetch something from a playoff team looking for a stretch 4 role player. It's time to go full scorched earth rebuild.

I watch the Hawks a lot, and I like Schroder, but he's a worse PG than both Knight and Bledsoe.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=schrode01&y1=2016&p2=bledser01&y2=2016&y3=2016&p3=knighbr03&p4=&p5=&p6=

His effective FG% is lower than both, and his defense is worse than even Knight's, which scares me (look at DWS and DBPM). He's also playing below replacement level on the year.

His assist % is higher than both but his turnover % is in between Knight and Bledsoe, and there's a huge gap in true shooting %. I also see the Hawks message board rail on him for stupid plays all the time. When you factor in his supporting cast relative to what Bledsoe and Knight have in Phoenix, I'm not at all convinced he solves the problems people clamor about on this board.

On the plus side, he's 22, which is a significant gap in age over Bledsoe, and he's on a rookie deal unlike Knight. Like I said, I like him, but he has a long ways to go, and his athletic potential is beneath both Bledsoe and Knight in my opinion, despite his elite speed.

Schroeder has a high ceiling, he has produced when given minutes. Advance stats for a 22 year old backup PG to a All-Star PG last season is not a good indicative of how they will be in the next 2-3 years as he will likely improve a lot with confidence and minutes on the court. Reggie Jackson and Eric Bledsoe are other examples of backup young PGs to start and become border all-stars. Schroeder isnt the athlete, but he seems to be closer to a Conley-type, someone who uses angles, tactics to beat his defender.

I think rate-based advanced stats are extremely important when evaluating a backup. They're the best stats you can use in such a situation. He is getting 22 minutes per game consistently, and his raw production is good, it's just that he's not efficient at all and gets killed on defense.

Of course he'll improve over the next 2-3 years, but so will the 24 year old we currently have. And if our current 24 year old isn't a proper PG, then the 22 year old Schroder will have to improve well beyond normal to reach a better level by 24, because like I said, he's below replacement level right now.
