No Giles today. First game is expected on the 19th. But I hear he's been putting on quite the show during warm ups the past couple of games. Talk is Tatum, Frank and Bolden should see all the minutes they can handle though.

Not to impressed with Tatum but its very very early.

I still think there's a long list of prospects ahead him like

Fultz
Ball
Jackson
Smith
Monk
issac
Rabb

Frank Jackson is the player I hope Duke unleashes. So skilled and a true team player

Duke's basketball this season is definitely not my cup of tea. When you watch them It feels like players are bothering each other.

Ball is something special, and he's showing it each time he hits the floor. That acceleration, big step, size, off/def anticipation, crazy deep range, attitude...

Man, i'd trade our entire roster just to have the opportunity to pick twice in the top6.

Ball
Booker
Warren
Chriss
Bender

Ball would slice up defenses if you surround him with 4 guys that can shoot like that. Ball in an extremely fast pace offense and surrounded by young weapons that could spread the floor. Thats a perfect combination and Ball does just know how to win. He plays winning basketball and always makes his teammates better.

yikes at that team's defense, only above average defender for their position might be Bender and he needs tutelage.
Ball cant defend the point of attack.

Same!

But it doesn't even have to be top 6, two in the top 10 could be enough for us.

Fultz
Ball
Smith
Jackson
Issac
Monk
Tatum
Giles
Rabb

Then you got guys like

Fox
Bridges
Markkanen

That's 12 guys that probably would all have a shot at being picks #3 last draft at worst. If we can get any 2 of the top 9 I'd be happy going forward.

Possible teams we could get a lottery pick from:

Twolves: They have solid young pieces at pretty much every position. Do they really need another young player next draft? Maybe they're looking for someone older and more established.

Sixers: They won't trade their own pick but they might be willing to trade the Lakers pick. They need guards and we are loaded with Guards. I could see the lakers falling back a bit and finishing bottom 10

I think it's doable if we offer enough.

Nice video on Josh Jackson's passing ability from DX.

I'm a big Josh Jackson fan (obviously), I really like his game. Tough, impactful defender, high basketball IQ and great feel for the game, extremely athletic, skilled attacking the basket, playmaking ability, versatile on both ends. If he were the focal point on this team like Wiggins was when he was there, I think he'd be getting even more recognition than he is now, but he has Frank Mason and Devontae Graham to compete with for touches and they're both playing very well this year. I'm excited for conference play, the Big 12 looks pretty good this year.

Do you think he could play point forward? It's too bad Booker can't guard ones, and Warren 2s, because a future lineup of Booker/Warren/Jackson/Chriss/Bender could be interesting. The ball movement and shooting would be solid. With the passing abilities of Jackson and Bender, and Booker could work well together and Booker could be the spot up shooter as well. Rebound would be a problem. Jackson to run second unit next year as Point Forward would be good too along with Bender off the bench (or Chriss) with Len or Chandler starting and the other in the second unit. Second unit of Ulis/Barbosa/Jackson/Bender or Chriss/Chandler would be solid, or perhaps even Williams instead of Chandler if he is traded.

Josh's passing is one of my favorite things about his game. He sees things a few frames ahead and rarely rushes his decisions.

Talking about his passing...

It's nice thing all the top prospects are good passers. Suns need one badly. Now just get top 4 pick

Omer Yurtseven looked very good last night. Very fundamentally sound. Great touch on his stroke. Very good around the basket. He will be a steal in the late 1st round.

He was playing for my team before going to the US. I was surprised NCAA let him play. Is he gonna be a one-and-done for sure?

Malik Monk reminds me of TJ Warren the way he scores around the hoop and in transition. He has all the little floaters, and euro step moves to finish. I think he's the best scorer in this draft. His jumper is nba ready with range. Actually a good comparison would be Gilbert Arenas. Someone compared him to Brandon Knight but Monk seems like a natural fluid and smarter basketball player. He has great body control, and ball skills. Knight runs around the court like Bambi trying to learn to walk. lol

Oh boy.
Monk is just oozing confidence.
He doesnt settle for good jumper but who cares? In halfcourt he's hitting 50% on jumpers.

Crazy. Definitely sounds like McD's guy
But NBA executives are torn on Monk.

Some believe he's a lock to go in the upper half of the NBA lottery. One even recently told me he'd select Monk with the No. 1 overall pick. But others are concerned that he's a 6-foot-3 2-guard, and they feel as though he'll go in the bottom portion of the lottery due to his lack of size.

Any of these three will do - Josh Jackson, Fultz, Ball

OK, I dunno if it's the shooting stroke or the size, but I see a bouncier version of Langston Galloway. Which isn't a bad thing to be as an 18 year old.

Anyone see it (in Monk)?

Pitino taking Cal to school. The man can flat out coach. They got Monk in foul trouble and he was never the same. Great win for Louisville.

This will change a lot probably but the lottery in tiers IMO -

Fultz
Ball
-
Jackson
Monk
Fox/Smith Jr
Tatum
-
Isaac
Markkanen (probably overrated him a bit early on)
Rabb
OG
