One thing to keep in mind I guess on the 2 first round picks is that it is 2 very late picks from HOU. An earlier pick from another team might seal the deal.
Unless it's the Knicks pick (which should be top 10), I don't think that would do it. Even then, Anderson is on $20+ mil a year for 3 more years. That's $60 mil of cap space for 3 years for a 1st rounder. You can usually buy a late first for a few million.
Aldrich is sitting there with a higher first (Milwaukee's) for any team willing to take his expiring $8 mil deal, with no takers yet. Anderson is going to be pricey for anybody to take, and the entire reason that trade hasn't been committed yet is because NYK doesn't want to anchor themselves with Anderson's deal.
Houston is going to have to break the bank to get Melo if nobody truly wants to take Anderson, because that 2 firsts asking price is actually pretty reasonable considering and it won't come down and NYK needs to get something valuable.
I think that negotiation drags out another month or so unless Houston decides to include Capela. That's the only way I see this getting done without one of the teams getting majorly ripped off.
