One thing to keep in mind I guess on the 2 first round picks is that it is 2 very late picks from HOU. An earlier pick from another team might seal the deal.

Unless it's the Knicks pick (which should be top 10), I don't think that would do it. Even then, Anderson is on $20+ mil a year for 3 more years. That's $60 mil of cap space for 3 years for a 1st rounder. You can usually buy a late first for a few million.

Aldrich is sitting there with a higher first (Milwaukee's) for any team willing to take his expiring $8 mil deal, with no takers yet. Anderson is going to be pricey for anybody to take, and the entire reason that trade hasn't been committed yet is because NYK doesn't want to anchor themselves with Anderson's deal.

Houston is going to have to break the bank to get Melo if nobody truly wants to take Anderson, because that 2 firsts asking price is actually pretty reasonable considering and it won't come down and NYK needs to get something valuable.

I think that negotiation drags out another month or so unless Houston decides to include Capela. That's the only way I see this getting done without one of the teams getting majorly ripped off.

Just curious but what are you running? My 10 year old macbook runs them fine. I think it has more to do with your broadband than your computer.

32-bit Windows 7. Not a PC nerd, but the graphics hardware seems bad. Having trouble with HD stuff. Was able to watch draftee introductions, but can't even watch the replay of this presser. I hope they put it on Youtube or somewhere else.

Sorry for OT.

Two years extension.

2 years is a smart compromise. It seems like McD has a plan brewing with some of whats going on. I suspect it will be a full court press for Lebron between now and next summer. The question is who else will come?

I hope he doesn't spend the time and effort to pursue something like that. What a waste of time.

I don't think two late firsts is worth taking on $60 million. That's still A LOT of money for two firsts. If you have a team where Anderson would seemlessly fit in, like Houston, for example, it might make sense.

we could sign his kids. They're young enough to be Phoenix Suns

Brandon Knight for Meyers Leonard, Shabazz Napier and a second round pick?

We could probably swap Knight with Ned Stark of the Lakers.

I think it may be more Kyrie Irving in 2019.

Nerlens Noel is having a hard time getting his deal done.

Would you do an S&T of Bledsoe for Noel, straight up? Dallas hates tanking, and Smith could take a while to develop. Meanwhile (just in case we don't get Ayton), we have a solution at center long term.

That's a hard no from me. Meyers is absolutely terrible.

What would be really funny is if we take Ryno for the 2 firsts but also dump Knight, then take Aldrich for another 1st. Then at the deadline trade Ryno to some team who ends up needing him (NO).

Maybe Ryan entertains trading Bled now that he has some security. I didn't think he could go full rebuild while entering the final year of his deal.

Good point. What would be a good Denver trade? Minnesota would have been good if they didn't sign Teague. I would have been fine letting Len walk if we could get Dieng and a pick or something.

I don't think any of the east tank teams would want him. I disagree with the notion Dallas would want him with Smith there.

I think Denver is the main landing spot. It would have to be a pick, Mudiay, Nelson maybe, and perhaps Arthur who was very good from 3. Arthur would be good to help spread the floor since our team desperately needs 3 pt shooting until our forwards improve in that respect. We were like 27th last year and just drafted a guy that is extremely questionable with that, especially since the key translation indicator the advanced stat guys say is FT %. We don't really need another big, but we do need another floor stretcher at one of those spots. I'm hoping Warren and one or more of our second year guys improves in that respect.

Do they have the cap space to absorb? We'd have to take back a bit of salary. Anderson would help us stretch the floor, but to take him we'd need to rid ourselves of Knight in the process, and find someone to take someone else as well. I'd probably take Anderson for Knight just because of that floor stretch factor, even though he cost a bit more money...I just think he might be more useful even though we have a lot of bigs. I don't know...it's a pretty equal swap as Anderson is a better player than Knight but makes a bit more.

Wow James Jones.

When we first acquired him I was in the process of selling my home in Litchfield Park. I actually gave him a personal walk through my home and he was very interested in purchasing it but we had a swimming pool and his wife had just given birth and they did not want a swimming pool in their future. I also ran into them the next day hanging out at Lowe's. This was the first year of his contract and he was not a rich guy at that point. Really a nice guy and I always liked him when he was with us. I thought he did his job well but most wanted more.

All I want form him is to sign Lebron and Cousins next summer.

Cousins
Lebron
Jackson
Booker
Bledsoe

That would be great fun and I expect that they could give the Warriors a run for their money.

Unfortunately I do not know if Lebron likes Yoga, so it probably is not going to happen.

From Denver for Bledsoe I would want Mudiay (likely bust but you take a chance on his athleticism), a pick, Arthur (has to be included for salary purposes) and one of Hernangomez or Lyles. They have a TON of PF's anyways, so I think we should be able to get one of those guys from them (still have Milsap, Faried, the remaining PF between Hernangomez or Lyles, and Lydon), or if not maybe another pick. I would then look to dump Arthur at the deadline.
