I don't believe Booker will be able to prove his worth ($158m) unless we have a team that is good enough to be close in most games. The difference between Booker being worth the max and $20-25m a year player is his ability to take over games. That's what elite scorers get paid for. Right now, our games aren't even close enough for him to be able to take over games. That 70pt game against Boston is the perfect example where he needed to score 70 just to make the final scoreboard look somewhat respectable and even then he didn't have enough help.

I'm not taking any of his weaknesses away from him, he needs to work on his sloppy turnovers, his piss poor defense and his general leadership on the court (untimely tech fouls) but from an offensive standpoint, he CAN still be a max level player just by being an absolutely elite scorer. But even if he was that player now (I think he's a tier below the Harden's, Giannis', Davis's), he still would be considered an empty stat guy until he has a team that can get him within striking distance (<10pts, good defense) to truly show his worth.

For everything that I am reading it looks like it is a Grade 1, so probably Booker is only a few days or a week out.

If that is the case he can just miss a couple games and be back.

Hope I’m wrong but from based on how it looked, I don’t think we’ll see him again till mid November at least.

Yeah, these are great news, we need him on the court to right the ship.

Hamstings are nothing to mess with and rush back. Small strains can get worse. I would make sure he's 100% before playing him again.

Smart move. As I mentioned hamstrings are nothing to mess around with and turn into a 6 week injury.

It went from game time decision to out in a few hours the day before the game? Tank starts earlier every year!

No Booker or Ayton? That sucks Ayton still has ankle soreness. I thought it might be a bad idea to be playing on it. That stuff can linger forever. There is a good chance if he tweaks it somehow it will get a lot worse if he plays. I wonder who starts instead of Booker. I guess it would be Jackson?

Yeah, Jackson started in all the preseason games.

Ayton is still questionable as of now.

I hope they sit Anderson, it would give us a fighting chance as that's an addition by subtraction.

If DA and DB are out, I would go with:

Canaan, Okobo
Ariza, Crawford
Warren, Jackson
Anderson, Bender
Holmes, Chandler

Wow, got Crawford in there even and still no Bridges.

IMO it should be:
Canaan, Okobo, Melton
Bridges, Daniels
Ariza, Jackson
Warren, Anderson
Chandler, Holmes

But it will be:
Canaan, Crawford
Jackson, Daniels
Ariza, Bridges
Anderson, Warren
Chandler, Holmes

What is this epidemic of MCL and Hamstring strains? First it was Booker, than Bobby Portis and now James Harden. Can this injury be sustained?
