Did Philly trade the Miami pick in the Tobias Harris trade?

This would be a solid trade. I wonder though if Josh would be considered a negative though. Granted as was posted- suns would get a bunch of cap space for the 4/PF as well as maybe a bench shooter. I would approve of this trade.

that wouldnt be a win for the Suns. A trade of the 6th for him would be close but adding in Jackson is overkill.

Jackson is steaming pile of road apples

Well I guess we will see. Right now I still rate Jackson fairly high and your option in the past hasnt convinced me on any of the issues that we seem to have very different views on. so lets wait and see what happens.

I'm perfectly fine with that decision. Though I would still package Jackson/#6 and attempt to trade up in the draft.

This is smart...gives KD the option of being granted a trade request. Of course he could do this anyway, but maybe it gives him a guarantee he would be traded within a specific time frame or something.

Given they won't have cap space with their huge contracts, it gives them a nice ability to get something for him when they would have no other avenue other than mid level exception or whatever...and could always just take back less salary or a pick...give a team a good deal if there were not great offers.

Gives them a little bit better chance of not losing him for nothing.

The Golden State Warriors were prepared to pitch Kevin Durant on a long-term contract this offseason with the understanding that they would grant him a trade should he wish to leave the team at any point, according to a source that spoke with Frank Isola of The Athletic.

The Warriors could still discuss that type of scenario with Durant even with him likely out most if not all of the 19-20 season.

Durant has been most strongly linked with the New York Knicks throughout the season.

Durant has signed a series of one-plus-one contract since joining the Warriors in 2016.

Now we're talking ... just say no to Ball and yes to SGA

If this is all it takes for AD. We should make an offer.

I was thinking the same thing there's no way NOP takes that little. If that's the case half the teams in the league- especially the ones on the west and east coast will throw the dice and take a shot that he resigns.

Smart from the Warriors perspective as the only way they could expect to get better is a sign and trade. Plus with a sign and trade, can’t Durant get the 5th year?

My opinions in the past were that Doncic was better than Ayton and that Bender, Chriss, and Jackson were rotational players at best. SGA is starter on a playoff team. Definitely worth Jackson and #6.

Spurs send out Leonard and Green and get back Derozan, Poeltl, and 29th pick in the NBA draft

Kings send out Cousins and Casspi and get back Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield, Langston Galloway, and 2017 10th and 34th picks in NBA draft. Evans and Galloway were expiring contracts so basically it was Cousins for Hield, the 10th, and 34th pick.s

It’s a good trade if real and not some made up Bill Simmons special using the trade machine.

Guessing this means each team is trying to get AD.
That #4 isn't going to net them a big name.

Maybe, But currently Rich Paul IS doing his absolute best to try and tank Davis' value in order to ensure that the Lakers have less assets to give up by dissuading other potential suitors with the " "One Year rental " threat comment.

So maybe New Orleans is considering taking slightly less back in a package for Davis in order to ensure that Davis doesn't get to the Lakers, and to stick it back to the Flakers for Paul's constant interference???

I mean if Boston, as well as other teams become dissuaded from offering a great package for Davis, Due to Paul's power play interference, Thusly affecting the overall value of the Pels return,

Then why would Griffin help Paul out after he continually interferes and sabotages Griffins' opportunities to procure the best possible return in a potential trade package, for his franchise?

For Griffin, This isn't about Paul's ego, or Anthony Davis' feelings. It's all business, and it's Griffins' first major deal on his new job.

I'm sure that he wouldn't appreciate Rich Paul constantly undermining his attempts to recieve the best return possible for the Pels, Just to achieve his agenda for Lebron.

Therefore I could see him considering this.

Jackson too. Those guys are all far better than Jackson and likely better than he will ever be and Dinwiddie and Clarke have their weaknesses but they also have some great strengths. Dinwiddie just doesn't fit well with Booker defensively. Aminu is a great defender and decent 3 pt shooter...he would help at PF...he isn't a stud but far better than someone like Randle or some others mentioned. Collison not great but good at what we need and far better defensively, from 3, and ast/to ratio than a guy like Dinwiddie.

Lol. I knew you or someone would bring up Jackson. I think the major difference though is that Jackson is only 2 year pro and those other guys are all veterans and Clarke is a question mark. I think if you like Clarke though I can’t see why you don’t have the same hope for Jackson. At least jackson has better measurements than Clarke and he hustles and works hard just as much as Clarke. I agree I don’t like Dinwiddie with Booker or anyone else on this team because he doesn’t pass the way a pg should. He’s a shoot first combo guard. Aminu is an ok defender definitely not good enough to be worth starting. Collison is a career backup who’s managed to trick everyone by going to teams who don’t have a pg and then leaving or being pushed out once that team gets one. As a backup he’s ok as a starter with this suns team we’re in for another long season.

Clarke is an elite defender though and Jackson is just ok. Clarke also protect the rim and rebounds more...just fits more of a need. Aminu is a premier defender tasked with guarding guys like George, KD, etc. Collison isn't great and I feel he should be one of our last options but also feel he fits the things we need and is still an enormous upgrade from our PGs last year.

With all due respect you’re comparing josh an nba player to a 22 year old junior in Clarke who has never played an nba game. I don’t see how that’s fair to either of those players. Clarke has done nothing in the NBA to be considered an elite defender, rim protector or rebounder. He can easily be a worse player than josh jackson is.

Derozan was coming off 3 straight all-star games and had just lead the raps to their 1st ever one-seed. They failed against Lebron but who can really blame them for that. KL was coming off one of the most bizarre seasons any player had ever in NBA history. He bails on what was thought to be the gold standard for NBA teams-the NBA's version of the New England patriots really. He was known to only wanna play in LA. No one knew if he was even gonna show up in Toronto. Other teams were scared to make a trade. The raps took a major gamble on him and gave up one of their most beloved players EVER for a guy who might not show and this isn't even bringing up his injury that kept him out the whole year-and still bothers him even now.

The kings were run by Vivek and Valde- who were a league joke at the time for making that trade. I remember those 2 getting roasted more then Dolan was at the time and more then Jennie Buss is today. NOP got Boogie because Vivek had a hard on for Hield and they still got a top 10 pick on top of that.

I'd call their bluff and keep him, wait for tensions to go down and play it out till the trade deadline. See who gets desperate and make a play then. Don't panic and bend to someone else's will, don't get bullied into doing something stupid.

No, you can't do that in a S&T. No, this isn't a S&T deal, though they could do that on a 4 year deal. But they could give him a 5 year deal (say he doesn't want to go to NY or wherever yet) and he plays a year in GS, or maybe 2, and then asks for a trade. It would also allow him to go to a team that is over the cap as long as salaries matched, like Houston for example.

Extremely doubtful. Josh probably has one of the worst net ratings and BPM's in the NBA. Clarke would likely be extremely efficient and block some shots, get boards, some steals, etc. When going to the rim he can actually get it in the basket.
