Indy is a bit scary right now. Just a bunch of young guys with nothing to lose. So many guys that will go all out to try and make a squad. We face them next. Hope we don't shoot like we did last night. Side note, Curry shot 16 threes last night. He made six of them.

TYLER CONWAY
JANUARY 24, 2022

The Detroit Pistons are reportedly not finding a robust trade market as they explore moving Jerami Grant before the Feb. 10 deadline.

James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reported "offers aren’t pouring in" for Grant, who is widely viewed as being available for the right price ahead of the deadline. Grant is nearing a return from a thumb injury that has cost him more than six weeks of action but has not played since Dec. 10.

It's pretty crazy how bunched up the east is. And that the Heat are currently in 1st having missed Bam most of the season and Butler and Lowry quite a bit.

But 2.5 games separates the 1-6 seeds. We have a bigger lead on GS than Miami does on the 6 seed.

I love tech and any tech that can help take fans closer to the court without impeding on the game is a plus. I would love for it to become like a video game photo mode where you can choose the camera angle and position on the court so it feels like you're really in the game.

I think it would really help fans including myself appreciate just how little space the players operate in. It's something I feel like the NBA broadcast really doesn't do justice because the court and the space between the players always look huge from that broadcast angle.

I didn't realize the 3rd round of voting came in.
Looks like Wiggins is really going to be an all-star starter and Booker and Paul will both have to rely on coaches to get them in.

I've said it before. Wiggins getting in means a more deserving player will not. Anyone who thinks Wiggins deserves it....do you think the coaches will vote him in if the fans don't? I'm quite certain they will not.

Yes I think Wiggins would get in. For example he is shooting better from 2 and 3 than Booker with better defense, and on a top tier team.

Especially with all the WC injuries (Kawhi, AD, George, Lillard who was having down season anyway), etc.

Fan vote is only part of what makes the starters, no? Wiggins may get top 3 from fans but doesn't mean he gets in right?

Fan vote is 50% while media is 25% and players is 25%. Wiggins will likely be lower on both so he may not start depending on who gets more votes from players/media. I imagine both Booker and Paul will. But it may depend on how far they are down on the fan vote and if media/players make up for it. Someone like Ja, if higher on fan vote, might more likely start because I think players and media will vote him high too.

Yeah i dont see Paul/Booker starting but Wiggins will get zilch from coaches/media to start so he'll drop off that and he wont get a reserve spot later from coaches either so it should be fine.

Yeah, who knows? Wiggins is 3rd in frontcourt voting, while George is 4th and AD is 5th, with Draymond at 6th, Carmelo at 7th, then Towns, Gobert and Ayton.

Jokic is already starting (along with LeBron), so do they take a second C or Draymond? Curry and Ja are the top two guards in voting so I don't really see a Sun having a chance at passing either. They may get more votes than Ja, but they may split and those guys have the edge, while Booker is 5th and Paul is 7th.

I think Wiggins has a decent shot based on the voting, injuries, being in the frontcourt, etc.

Edit: I guess AD will probably get in if he is returning, unless the media and players don't think he played enough games. But if they both vote for AD over Wiggins, how does that work out if it's tied for 3rd? I guess maybe they see where else they placed? Will Towns and Gobert be higher than SFs when Jokic is voted as the C?

We need as many bigs as possible. Trade Payton, Payne, Shamet, Wainwright, Nader, Saric and bring in few more big guys. Imagine 7-8 centers/pfs playing nearby Book, Paul, Bridges, Cam & Crowder. The possibilities are endless.

What is Wainwright exactly? Is he a big? Is he a wing? What does he even play like really?

I’m genuinely asking cause I don’t know.

He is a linebacker.

oh god, that Clippers Wizards game. Makes me feel better about our game last night. We were playing scrubs too but at least we won in the end, and didn't blow a 35 friggin point lead like Kuzma and friends did.

This is what we need from Shamet! It's what I envisioned of him right after the trade. Now I absolutely wouldn't have offered/ signed him for more than 6 million ( 4-6 market value). But I absolutely convinced myself that he could do that. Hopefully he can get out of his own head and be that in his role for us really soon!
