That said, why we'd be interested with a high paid PG who is much better in Bledsoe and a high paid combo guard, combined with our up and coming 2 guard in Booker, makes no sense.

Probably they want to put Jennings on Bledsoe's shoes. If we trade for Jennings he can play Bledsoe's role and fight for the eight seed.

He is an UFA next year, so he can be out of the team if we prefer Bledsoe and Knight over him....but if he surprise and plays great probably we trade one of the other PGs and sign him in the summer.

I don't like thi plan at all, but knowing McDonough and Hornacek and their love for the 2 PGs system I see that a real possibility.

Yeah. I wouldn't be okay with it unless it's straight up for Markieff and there was truly nothing else on the table for him. If we have a pick offer or Jones on the table and we make a trade for Jennings, or if we give up something like a pick for Jennings, that's a disaster imo.

I'd still want a pick.

If we would trade Kieff for expiring I would be pleased. His value is very low now. Many people on GB thinks it's negative. Team's GMs may think otherwise but I doubt anyone would give us anything valuable for him. I just want him gone :(

Something along these lines and since Detriot will be making the playoffs they might as well throw in a lottery protected pick. Small price for Detriot to pay in order to reunite the brothers and show them the love and attention they so highly desire.

No way they trade Stanley Johnson for Markieff. No way.

A good and realistic trade would be Jennings and a lottery protected pick for Markieff.

If we don't give anything too valuable for Jennings I don't see any reason not to trade for him. We take a flier and if it proves to be a hit we've got another asset in our hands, there will be plenty of options then.

Damn we really are a Charlotte / Detroit / Milwaukee/ Sacramento / Minnesota type team.

Jennings shoots 39% FG.

I guess Jennings would round out a 10 man rotation that looked pretty much set after last game.

Price
Knight, Booker
Tucker, Warren
Leuer, Teletovic
Chandler, Len

I think I'd probably prefer him as a change-of-pace PG off the bench - he can come in with the youngins and run run run. He'd play that role better that Knight.

You could argue that we are actually a rung below all them. Only Minny isn't clearly better than us as of now ,but they are set up for the future

Still no reason to dump him for nothing. We can always do that if we have to for cap space during the summer. As long as he doesn't play I'd rather hold out. Someone will give up something either this trade deadline or during the summer when they strike out in free agency. Teams will swing for something big and miss, and then give up something for him, like Washington if they miss out on Durant, or if Houston can't find anything good for Jones at the deadline.

Wolves might be a legit playoff team in 2-3 years. KG mentoring Towns is a genius move... and KG will buy out Wolves when he retires, he is very competitive and wont tolerate losing.

Kings are a tweak away from becomming a playoff team, they have the shooters, MVP candidate, great playmaker, 2nd star caliber player etc. They also have a coach...
Once their defense gets fixed, they look good. Defense will improve as the team starts believing they are a playoff team and the effort will improve.

Pistons are young and are 1 star player away from becoming a playoff team...... Bucks have potential.

Suns are at the cross roads at the moment.... they either push on and miss out on a HUGE and VALUABLE asset (a top 4 pick) either to keep and develop or TRADE...... or they develop the young, trade the veterans, focus on a 2017 team.

Trade Knight, Morris to Pistons for Jennings and Stanley Johnson.

Suns then let Jennings go as a FA.... they still get a top 4 pick and Stanley Johnson.

Pistons get their holy trinity scoring guards that can work with Drummond.... Knight/Jackson/Caldwell Pope rotation is SHARP. They then target Otto Porter... and a stretch 4... and they look good.

Hold out for what? His value is what it is, and it's not going to improve as long as he's not getting playing time. You want to sit him for the next 40-odd games and then try to get more value for him?

Reminiscent of the IT situation as far as waiting and waiting... You need to know when to move on. Keeping IT for so long disenchanted Goran and forced us into trading him. Every day we keep Markieff is one more day the team is exposed to his distracting and malignant presence. It seems he's already affected Archie, is it worth risking the same sense of entitlement with TJ and Booker? Especially if Hornacek continues to be spotty with their minutes?

I don't think those guys give a crap about Markieff. Markieff has already been removed from the team for the most part. Much different situation than IT. Teams know he can be a good player. They are low balling seeing if we will bite. This season is lost anyway. Those guys don't care about being on a team with Markieff..they are thinking about their own careers.

Keef for Jennings would actually be a way to possibly preserve value.

Imagine you crash your $18,000 2003 BMW M3.

You don't have insurance and the car needs major body work. You end up selling the car on craigslist "as is" for $9,000.

You could just accept that $9,000 loss, or you could take a trip up to Vegas and put $9,000 on black.

If you win, you get your $18k back.

If you lose, you get nothing.

Trading Keef for Jennings is the same thing. In their best year, both were a notch below an allstar.

If Jennings comes here and plays well, we might be able to re-sign him and use him or flip him. We preserve value.

If Jennings plays like **** or walks in the summer, we get nothing.

At this point, I think I'd rather do this then trade for Jones but have to take on the Brewer contract.

Do you think a Sullinger/Jerebko(expiring) for Morris is fair for both sides?

Imo the keef for jennings trade is nonsensical, cause bledsoe is coming back next season. Why would jennings re-sign knowing that either him, bledsoe or knight are gonna get traded anyway and he might end up on a team like the sixers?
In addition, acquiring jennings via trade would make suns competitive again and maybe even good enough to reach the 8th seed, only to get swept by the warriors anyway AND have jennings walk.

I doubt the suns will get much for keef, cause of the notion of him being a headcase. Houston is the type of franchise that likes to take risks, but how do you justify trading a cool and calm guy like terrence jones for keef, when you already took a chance on lawson and that whole failed miserably.

And why would the celtics trade sully and jonas for keef? They've just managed put together a young, talented and emotionally stable core and then you add keef to the mix?

Imo the most likely scenario is the suns getting an expiring contract plus picks or draft rights, possibly, via a 3 team trade.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

It would be funny to see Knight get traded back to Detroit for the guy he was traded away for in the first place.
I'd be all over this deal if it were on the table but as mentioned above, I don't see Detroit giving up Johnson.
