I think Fox, Jackson and Isaac all have a higher chance at being elite at something and having some ability to dominate but that doesn't mean any of them will. I also think that anyone comparing them to All-NBA guys is getting completely ahead of themselves. None of them are slam dunk for sure things like Kevin Durant or Anthony Davis or Lebron. Or even Melo.

What I like most about Jackson, Isaac and Fox is that they're all reasonably humble and very hard working. I haven't heard as much about Tatum regarding his work ethic other than a single Coach K quote, though maybe he has a very strong work ethic as well.

I completely 100% agree with the first part. Tatum is not exciting but he's high floor so at least you're getting something, even though he isn't likely a high ceiling guy. Those others have much higher ceilings but probably lower floors as well.

As for the second part, I don't think Jackson and Fox are particularly humble. I know Fox said he's the best player in the draft. That's not a bad thing, but I do like players that are humble. It doesn't mean you don't have the fire to win. Duncan, Dirk and Kawhi are humble for some examples. Durant was humble until he got to GS and now that he is playing on a 73 win team without him, he is cocky.

I suppose humble isn't a good adjective then. However I've heard both Fox and Jackson are gym rats that work very hard. Neither are going to be Mike Beasley.

I totally agree - skip the Cavs middle man and get Jimmy Butler

Knight, Warren and the 4th pick for Butler - they can Jones too if they want

How about a better option is that stay the course with our young players and not bring in a bunch of old players that will mess up our timeline.

That insider just tweets stuff that's already reported, but he's pretty quick to do so. I don't completely trust it unless I can find the source data, but if you can find Windhorst saying it, you then have to decide if you think his is legit.

Very surprised they have Fox since they have so many point guards and already have a defensive beast in Marcus Smart. They are in desperate need of shooting.

From what I've read on their board, it seems like the vast majority want Tatum for that very reason. They drafted Smart, and Brown. Not much separation between Jackson and Tatum in their mind so base it on need.

I've been insisting that Ryan's job is safe because the TV contract solves Sarver's biggest issue and Ryan no longer has to swing for the fences. I still believe that's true but if Windbag is correct, boy have I been wrong. I don't usually have a problem with admitting I'm wrong (at my age, I've had plenty of practice) but I'm going to hate it this time. Not from embarrassment but from shame. Shame that my team could do something so incredibly foolish.

This is not Ryan McDonough - this is classic Sarver getting impatient. Its a pattern. He makes one good move followed by a bunch of lousy moves. He trades away two picks - one of which could have been a PG for 3m each but than signs Marcus Banks; he lets SToudemire go but then signs a bunch of dudes. Umm, he signs both Barbosa and Diaw to big contracts but the next year has to dump Kurt Thomas with two first rounders; and now possibly this - not sure how you can say this is anybody but sarver

Maybe. Sarver was under financial pressure but he's said all the right things ever since his disastrous foray into GM role playing and his financial distress has been relieved. I can't see either one of them going this route although I can sort of understand the allure of pairing Love and Booker with Ball. It would be an exciting team that could win a lot of games, maybe a poor man's Houston. I just can't see why they'd settle for being Houston-lite. So I'm not going to indict either Sarver or McDonough on the basis of an unsupported rumor but I'm going to be royally pissed if it actually happens.

I can see it because I've seen it time and time again. He's like a common fan that gets eager for Butler or Love or whoever, so it puts unnecessary pressure on Sarver to win now. They kind of talked about this on that great Vecenie podcast posted yesterday in addition to assessing all our players and where are team is now.

I seriously doubt Butler would want to come to the Suns, and his agent will let that be known if that's the case and try to ensure he is moved to a contender. Love may try too.

Well it is on the wiretap above that links to a podcast. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/246344/Cavs-Found-Lottery-Pick-In-Exchange-For-Kevin-Love-Possibly-From-Suns

Maybe someone should listen to it if they are that concerned?

I'm fine with whatever happens as long as it doesn't involve #4 for Love

He doesn't draft Sergio Rodriguez or Rondo, gets 3m each, plus 2m for Grant so that's 8m but than signs Banks for 21m - granted maybe it was Mike D

He lets Stoudemire walk - fine. But he signs a bunch of "guys" to long term deals and not just one year deals to keep your cap

So, now I see him getting antsy, seeing Kevin Love is on the market - lets get him. But it doesn't make sense by itself. Use these assets like the 4th pick or the young forwards to get a player that better fits the timeline. Hence, maybe its wise to trade Bledsoe if you can flip for Russell.

I'm seriously freaking out about the idea of getting Love. I have trusted McD since he came here. I've supported him through the bad trades and haven't wavered on that.
However, if he makes this move, I'll be the first one calling for him to be fired after the season.

When you hear that KP is available it drives you nuts that he prefers Love despite being away from our timeline. Chances are he'd walk in 3 years anyway (or regress significantly). That's when we'll start hearing about the players in this draft who are excelling, that we could have had.

That would be crazy if the Knicks traded KP for Josh Jackson.

Yea, I'm quitting the Suns if we trade for Kevin Love. I'll be done. It would be so dumb.

It wouldn't fit with any of our other pieces, we still wouldn't be really good, we'd be buying a guy on the decline and paying handsomely to do so and we'd be forfeiting a #4 pick in a really good draft.

Just stop with the stupid.

Yeah, I'd much rather trade the 4 for KP but I'd really much rather keep the 4 since we have PFs we just drafted last year.

And I DEFINITELY don't want to do this...

I think Porzingis is gonna be an All-NBA level player one day, so I'm 100% in favor of doing that. Booker/Porzingis is a real foundation with an incredible ceiling.

I love Porzingis too, but two firsts and two young improving starters seems like a bit much.

I have a really bad feeling that McDonough is under a lot of pressure to make a win-now move in order to save his job; wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up moving the 4th pick for Love :(
