Jeezus... I don’t understand how some can think we are crowded or content with/in the front court

We got a nimble numbskull in Ayton... and a handful of tweeners. OK, so we drafted a PF/C... but expecting him to jump in and contribute bucks the draft odds. (When will the fever break ) Smith will be coddled into 10-12 mins unless forced into action from injury. If he gives anything more it’s a bonus. And here is no need to rush.

The rest? Not even a true PF. 6’6” Crowder is the biggest at 235. Inking up Baynes looks better and better to me.

So we drafted somebody at 10 to play 10 minutes - if that. Cool.
Also - we should decide what he is, as I have seen him compared to JJJ and such in that thread, and how it was not a reach to pick him there, and here he is coddled into 10-12 minutes.

Jordan McRae is gonna be our next signing, I can feel it.

We wanted him last past season, he played next to James Jones and Booker. He has a nice relationship with both and plays a position of need.

Minimun contract guaranteed for a couple of seasons...is that possible or a minimun contract needs to be only for one year?

Yeah I could see that.

Sterling Brown might also be worth a look as a deep bench developmental wing. Hes shown some flashes of being useful and has played enough where if he had to be in the rotation because of injury he at least won't **** himself.

Also if guys like Batum or Carroll would be willing to take a vet minimum without a guaranteed spot in the rotation I'd be interested.

I can't see that. Dante is likely starting now that Bogdan isn't coming or if they start Augustin next to Holliday then Dante is their best bench player. No way they give him up for a backup C when you have Brook and Giannis plays some small ball C too.

I agree it is a longshot. Just having fun. But they did also sign Connaughton and now Forbes. And its possible they say sorry bro and he has to live with them trying to trade him once before, but maybe they just avoid the conflict and let him go? I wouldn't be surprised if he is traded to someone before the season starts.

Well some guy in the Ty-Shon thread who watched him in college said he thought he was and would be better than Anthony Edwards (I think)...anyway, funny enough I was just looking at his numbers and they look pretty good.

I’ve got a buddy who played at Creighton and still watches all their games. For what it’s worth, this is what he had to say:

“Lock down perimeter defender. Shooting turned up last year. Can take it to the rack and finish. His defense really went from a liability his first two years to last year he was one of the top 2 wing defenders in conference”
