Honestly if its between us, the Cavs and the Mavs, I think we are easily the best option. LeBron is already 30 years old, he doesn't have time to wait for Wiggins and all of them young bloods to become complete all around players.

And the Mavs? I hope this is a joke. Why would he go to a team that embarrassed him in 2011? If you can't beat them, join them? Yea....no. And besides, Dirk is like 46 and their next best player in Monta Ellis

Its between us and Miami if Houston truly is out of the mix.

That's why the whole "Lebron can pick his guy" premise is a little bit flawed. To get one of them in PHX Lebron would really have to recruit them hard. Then again he's not really recruiting guys to MIA right now either so...

"There's clearly a breakdown in communication between LeBron and [Wade and Bosh]," one executive who participated in the meetings over the past two days told Yahoo Sports. "[James is] giving Riley time to go get players for them but if that doesn't happen in the next few days … LeBron seems ready to explore the market."

Pau Gasol will meet the Miami Heat today, according to ESPN.
The Spanish big man is free agent and targeted by NBA top teams.

I would bet that If Riley signs Pau all is over...Lebron stays.

Napier/Cole or Chalmers
Wade/Ray Allen
Lebron/Morrow or Granger
Bosch/Haslem
Pau Gasol/Birdman

Pau will not sign for 5 million dollars a year..
Bosh is not going to agree on a 12 million dollar contract...

Only way to sign Pau is if Lebron takes less than max or Bosh and Wade agree on the rumoured 10/11 million contracts.

And they still need 8 guys signed for dept... Which is their main issue against west teams.

It seems that Houston is definitely out of the race.
Phoenix met on Wednesday and Cavaliers officials met on Thursday with Paul. Houston Rockets officials spoke with Paul by phone, but were not granted a meeting and have moved on with their pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, sources told Yahoo Sports.

If he wants out he will choose between Dallas,Phoenix or Cleveland.

2 day meeting? Although one day could have been to discuss Bledsoe.

Pau is going to play for a clear contender, he only is meeting with that type of teams. He does not want big money, he wants to win, a large contract a have an important role. In my opinion, he is going to sign for mid-level money.

And you don't think in two yrs he'd be doing the same to us? You are OK with a 3 -4 yr deal with early opt outs?
Heck, half of you are so busy azzgreasing each other with giddiness, I'd imagine you'd sign on for one.

Lebron wants no part of the west. It's too tough out here.

I'm upping my offer now to a 4 yr deal, no opt outs. If James wants us to commit, then he needs to.

How come literally nobody is talking about how Bledsoe and Lebron are Very good friends. That has to be a factor.

And BTW, I think Gasol would be the best player to add IF the exalted one did come on board. I agree with nevets' concerns about money. One Heat refugee is enough.

Bottom line is.... If James does not make it to the finals, he's good as gone... If he doesn't win, he's likely to pack them up as well.

The East is still a much easier route to ringland...I think that plays into his choice as much as anything.

Spurs, Thunder are more suitable teams..

Popovic can fully utilize him...

Him replacing replacing Splitter would make the Spurs even more beautiful to watch and unstoppable offensively.

His seen what big men turns to in Heat... Basically spot up shooters or scrappers.. Pau is skilled based...

If he did give himself an early out I'd be fine with it. What I was saying is, what good does it do him to sign on short term with Miami? If he's going to stick with them this year, after the beating by the Spurs and the crap offseason they're about to have, then why wouldn't he just sign long term?

Looks like Noah was wrong when he said that no one goes on vacation to Cleveland.

.In The East, regardless of what team he goes to, James has a better/easier path to the finals. He's not looking for long term security. LeGollum James has but one thought

Suns officials did not respond to inquiries about the report but other sources said Sarver, Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby and Suns general manager Ryan McDonough attended the meeting in Cleveland, where Paul is based.
