Well I think half of this team would welcome that over Knight.....at least he would get other players involved more. We need someone to set up guys, and obviously he isn't the ideal guy, but Goodwin doesn't do it, Brown maybe if they keep him....who knows?

Especially impressive to see the unassisted baskets. Huge that Booker can create his own offense.

With all the comments, and the eight turnovers, I expected to see Knight with the worst +/-, and he had the best for our starters with +5.

Good to see Len was able to stay on the floor for 21 mins, and not fouling out.

Supposedly it was because he got beat out for a lose ball by Paul George. Paul George does that to a lot of guys though, and half our team makes those kinds of mistakes all game long.

Brandon Knight gave them the ball half the time had it and he did whatever he wanted. If thats true Hornacek should be fired on the spot

So let me make sure I understand this properly. A 2nd year player gets 'outworked' by a Vet who has more All-Star/All-NBA Seasons than TJ has in the league, and get's sat down for the game. Yet Knight gets simply 'worked' by Paul George; who should be a faster, quicker G and absolutely embarrassed, and he gets to stay in for 40 minutes? With 8 TOs? And 8 of 22 and 2 of 9(3PT) shooting and 4 Assts?

Yeah, I've been a defender of Hornacek and felt he deserved a shot to turn this around, but when you make calls like that, that could affect a young players psyche negatively, especially when he sees the standard isn't applied evenly, well, I think it's time for Horny to go.

Well it's just speculation about why TJ didn't play much. I suspect it was due to some sort of injury or ailness, but if not, it is inexcusable that he sat.

Heard on the radio the quote where Jeff called tj out by name for lack of effort on one play where George out worked the for the loose ball.

It is not speculation, it is the true.
Hornacek said that with his own words.

He is just A HORRIBLE COACH. PERIOD.

Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said that T.J. Warren was benched during Tuesday's loss to the Pacers for a lack of hustle.
"We're looking for guys who are going to hustle," Hornacek said. "If you don't hustle, we'll take you out." Warren played just three minutes in the loss with one turnover to his name, and it speaks volumes that he didn't play even though the Suns lost three bigs to injuries on Tuesday in Mirza Teletovic (ankle), Markieff Morris (shoulder) and Jon Leuer (back). For now, Warren is nothing more than a stash until he is out of the doghouse.

HAHAHAHAHA

Markieff Morris has been WALKING on the court, Chandler is like a chair in the paint, Teletovic can not defend even a corpse....but well....they deserve to play because they hustle in Hornacek's mind...

Jesus.

Only proves that conventional boxscore plus minus is a misleading stat when taken out of context because it only measures the differential in team score between a player being on/off the court court. So we just assume that a player is doing something to help his team outscore the opponent even if its the lineup change thats the reason. Thats why you need regularized APBR metrics like RAPM to adjust for teammate strength and situation factors, standardized to the league average to a give net rating per 100 possesion. With Horny's mindnumbing rotations he basically throws crap at the wall in hopes that it sticks. Knight did not by any stretch of the imagination have a good game even though he broke even

Yeah, I just saw the quote on azcentral
“We’re looking for guys who are going to hustle,” Hornacek said. “And if you don’t hustle, we’ll take you out. We expect good things out of T.J. He’s a great player. But every guy off that bench needs to bring some energy. You’re sitting there. You get your shot in the game. You need to go. You don’t have three minutes to warm up and get in the game. He’s going to have to be ready next time. Be out there and lay it all out there. If you’re going to jog after a ball, then you shouldn’t be out there.”

I wasn't paying attention for those three minutes but I do agree that people, especially at this point, at least need to put in effort. Many here have been demanding guys get benched if they don't follow instructions so I guess he is doing that. You don't want TJ developing bad habits or playing with a lack of energy.

TJ has been odd this season. He will be really hot and all over the place on offensive rebounds, and then he won't seem to be engaged in the game at times for whatever reason.
