Reading the Bucks board, I did see a lot of positive comments on Monroe's attitude. Hopefully that carries over and he can rub off on guys like Chriss.

Monroe is basically an older Okafor. All of us wanted a shot at Okafor.

I'm fine with bringing Monroe in here, and having him help us with his offense this season. At the very least we finally have a big we can throw the ball to down low and say "go get us a bucket". Haven't had one of those since Markieff.

Just realized another one of my Suns jerseys has gone retro. I think I'm going to just customize the names going forward :-/

We may be underselling how big an issue his injury history and pending contract weighed in trade talks. I certainly wouldn't want bledsoe on my team were I an opposing gm.

+1000

He is over-rated on this board in a league full of good point guards. Happy we got a pick at all. A pick + expiring is even better.

Yeah, I've never heard a non all star player (who had never been mentioned by writers, etc, that he is potentially an all star or was a snub) be referred to as "all star caliber" as much as Bledsoe.

This is so true. But I think most reasonable fans can see thru great stats on a garbage team. Maybe in the East with some motivation behind him he can become an All-Star.

We have some second rounders to burn. We could bring in Okafor. Or we could move Monroe for him.

I thought about this too. Might be tough though with so many C's. Wonder if the 76ers would do a Chandler and a couple 2nd's for him. He could be a backup/mentor to Embiid maybe?

No one knows the answer to that until the end of the season where we see where MIlwaukee's pick lands. If it's the 11th pick I doubt Bledsoe is worth more than that. Actually if the pick conveys at all I think the pick is probably more valuable. A lottery or near lottery pick you control for 7-9 years or a $15 million avg pg for 1 year who you can probably extend if you want to give him a near max contract at $30 million a year.

There are other pg's too that might be available. Marcus Smart comes to mind. If Ainge wants to shore up his roster for the playoffs, a Chandler and something for Smart deal might be workable.

I don't doubt bledsoe could be an all star this year in the east, nowhere near the same competition.

Yeah, it would be nice to have teams like the Nets in our conference. Oh, wait...

Jesus Christ, I hope you're trolling.

Nevermind your asinine comment on the inmates running the asylum, the fact that you rather teach one player, who you won't reap any benefit of "teaching him his less", for the sake of ruining our future is completely insane. He's not in our future, regardless of if we keep him or trade him. Why would teaching him a lesson be beneficial to us? And to use the rational of "meh, not like we're getting anyone in FA anyway" is like saying "I'm going to go off on my boss and then quit because eh, who cares, not like I want to work again anyway".

It's one thing to want our GM to be replaced, I can understand that, but ugh. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

And regarding your "asinine" statement, last time I checked a contract goes two ways. You agree to conditions no one forced you to, so stand by it. But maybe I'm just too old school thinking that you should honor your contract you agreed to with your employer.

And last, no need for insults. You can just disagree with me

https://www.sbnation.com/2017/10/27/16559952/bob-mcnair-houston-texans-nfl-owners-meeting-protests

This was why your comment was asinine. Borderline racial there. Not sure if you changed prison to asylum but the sentiment remains.

Spoiler:
As for insults, I don't believe I sent one. If I did, I didn't mean it as a personal attack other than I think your logic is completely misplaced, in that we got what we could for players wanting to leave. Who cares if we put them in a 'good' position, it puts us in the best position we could be in. I don't think we traded him there to be nice, it was the best offered, as McD said he would do. Not put him on his preferred team. It just happened that way in this case.

You speak of trolling and then this...you lost me here.
Let's just agree to disagree ;)

I hope we could follow this up with either Chandler, or Monroe, for an expiring starting calibre PG. I would even throw in any of DJJ, Dudley, Peters too.

It would take one of the first rounders we have to dump Knight.

Dumping Knight with picks makes 0 sense. His value cannot get lower. We probably address PG with the Miami pick. Then Knight gets a season to re-establish value. If he doesn't you dump him as an expiring or buy him out.
